Score from 2114 reviews Good
The reception staff were excellent.
Inexperienced untrained bar staff, didn't know size of measures for spirits, martini and Campari.
Overall very nice stay at the Novotel
There was no sink for hand washing in the toilet!
-Spacious rooms -Excellent and helpful staff -Excellent facilities -Excellent waiting areas in the Lobby -Bus stop is exactly infront of the hotel -Excellent view on the Westminster area, London eye and river Thames
-A little bit far away from an underground station (nearest 10 mins walk)
clean hotel quality facilities are available staff are efficient
rooms much smaller than expected shower/toilet facilities are cramped
Excellent location good price
I liked the location & the comfort of the room.
The room was a wee bit small for 2 adults & one 15 year old.
Location, room size, extra sofa bed
Bad staff at receiption. At first denied my online booking at the hotel. Room door key did not worked few times.
Location, friendly staff, comfort of name brand
Price for quality
Nice staff, clean
Very friendly and supportive personell, especially front desk attendants
The shuttle bus to airport was really late. They should work with another company.
Staff was courteous and helpful. Location was quiet but seconds away from spectacular view of the Thames, parliament etc. Easy, safe walk along Thames (10 mins) to London eye, aquarium and underground . Hop on hop off bus route stops close to hotel. Taxi to and from st pancras train station only 14 pounds. Great cafe on the Thames just seconds from the hotel with amazing English breakfast and lattes.
It might be a less expensive hotel, but you will be nickelled and dimed during your stay. Wifi is free but if you want the premium wifi that is "ideal for guests who want to web surf, stream video or email" (what else would you need it for?), then you have to pay extra. Small bottles of water for just 2.75 pounds...how about some complimentary water since the water that comes out of the taps smells like rotten eggs. Sofa bed was filthy with a gross stain on the seat cushion. Room cleaning was below standard. A minor point, but the tissues, toilet paper and towels are all industrial grade.
specious room good price very quite area. WiFi in rooms near major attraction in London
slightly far from the shopping areas.
The location was excellent for the London Eye and Houses of Parliament
Our rate did not include breakfast when we came down the que was very long so we went to a cafe on the river side this was on both mornings of our stay
Staff were very helpful and understanding when I told them I needed to change hotels as I have a spinal injury and I just couldn't spend one more night in those beds.
I honestly did not like one thing about this hotel except the staff. It was run-down (the mattress was extremely thin and lumpy, the bed slats were broken so the whole bed rolled to one side, the air conditioning vent was broken and it just flapped away loudly all night but it was too hot to turn it off, the tv was tiny & at an odd angle, the positioning of the bathroom was impractical and I saw many places where the tops of things were covered in a thick layer of caked-on dust. I've seen better quality amenities, more comfort and cleanliness at a mom & pop establishment where they rent a room out over summer. For the price and the brand name this just is not up to scratch. I am baffled as to how this hotel got such high scores from other reviewers. For almost the same price I stayed in a better location just up the road in one of the nicest hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. THANK GOD we switched, I couldn't wait to get out of there!
The focused attention staff brings to bear on guest matters. And, if course, the location. for the tourist perspective, all key sightseeing is, well, all around. Have been using this property for last few years and can easily vouch as good for business and tourist visit.
Great location just a short stroll down the embankment and your in central London. Nice clean room and comfy bed. Very friendly staff and nice relaxing bar area. We have stayed at this hotel many times for a short city break and it is always good
We did not have any problems at all this trip and enjoyed everything
Although the hotel seemed a bit out of the way it actually was in a good location, particualry if fit and able to get about. It has a secure car park which is useful if you need to bring a car. The hotel is modern and fresh and the restaurant was very good.
The room was a bit cramped but adequate as a base, even with three adults sharing the room.
Upgraded to an executive room. Good central location. Friendly staff. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice
The reception staff are very nice and cooperative ..
The hotel was basically what we expected nothing to flash but somewhere clean with welcoming staff. No complaints over location either and the breakfast was good aswell. Didn't try the other hotel facilities. But all in all I would go again and recommend it to others.
I could always complain about price but thats just London. In comparison to other hotels in teh area it was reasonable.
I thought I would receive Novotel Points for my stay but found out that if booking through Booking.com I do not qualify for point. I just may consider booking direct.
The breakfast was not cery good. Not enough food was available.
Location is wonderful! It's so close to the Westminster and still the place is quiet enough.
It's good to have purely English breakfast, but I would prefer to have more choise.
Paying for what appeared to be complimentary water in the room, Smelly sink in bathroom, Limited kitchen supplies, Intransigent approach toy booking conditions, No Sky sports in room
