Bar closed early ,wi fi had to plug in to a laptop ! Most people have tablets / iPads these days
The hotel facilities, cleanliness, breakfast, room were all good. The location was good as we were attending the Olympia Horse Show just down the road.
The hotel was stiflingly hot, both in the lobby and in our room. Our air con wasn't working, so we had to keep the windows open overnight, which meant no sleep for myself or my son, as there was constant drilling work as well as traffic noise. Hotel staff were unsmiling, had difficulty understanding English, and rushed off their feet (probably accounts for the lack of smiles!). Queues at check-in, check-out and at the bar. The breakfast waitress showed us to our seats, but did not give any explanation of how it worked - ie, tell us to go to the buffet - we have not stayed with Novotel before, so we waited for some time before realising we could go up at will. Disappointing stay.
Friendlyness of the staff who gave us a free upgrade to satisfy our request for a room away from the street noise.
Put off breakfast by cost!
Perfect location to the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo and the Hammersmith tube station. Travelled with my 8yr old daughter and staff were excellent.
Spacious room, not too hot, air con in room. Excellent location for Eventim Apollo.
The location was key and it was excellent for our trip to Olympia. The hotel was clean and room was good
I don't know if I have a strong accent from Derbyshire but some of the reception staff struggled to understand me and vice versa. Drinks and food were expensive but it was London
Modern hotel ideally situated for the Hammersmith Apollo. Comfortable room and very nice open plan bar. Excellent self service breakfast with plenty of choice. The hotel is only about half a mile from the River Thames well worth walking along the riverside and having a drink or lunch at one of the very nice pubs.
Problem with the cost of or upgrade which was sorted out satisfactorily by the duty manager Anne Le Corre Upgraded room was rather small with no bath. Several members of staff spoke limited English. We tried to order tea and scones in the bar unfortunately the waitress did not know what scone was!
Everything about our stay was great. Would definitely stay at this Novotel again. Thank you
Nothing to dislike.
after seeing Brian Cox at the apollo. Im just going to list why: No staff on reception so no one answers the phone from you room. Had to walk down there in the end! TV didn't work, no services apparently? Pretty cold time of year and the rooms unbearably hot? No air conditioning, just rumbles out warm air all night. I had a good 5 hours! We ordered room service, no one answered the phone. They called the room back 10 minutes later and apologised... Said he was busy? Said our food would be 30 mins but showed up an hour later... You honestly couldn't make it up.
perfect location for Olympia, comfortable room, friendly staff, great breakfast
Several entry points into hotel
On the main entrance after a certain time in the evening the lifts were shut, but no notices to advise, or direction to the nearest entry
Location staff facilities comfort value for money
Near the tube excellent breakfast friendly staff.
Very bland basic rooms not very inviting bar/communal areas. If I had paid the advertised room rate at check in of £275 I would have felt thouroghly riped off.
Bed was too hard
Lovely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble and all polite with knowledge to answer and deal with queries.
Sockets in the room didn't seem to work well for charging mobile/i-pad
The breakfast was good
It was advertised ads having a pool, sauna and steam room when it dis not have one. The bathroom was dirty with fixtures falling off the wall
The hotel is close to the tube station and there are some nice bars and restaurants locally
The wait to check in was a little too long
Not bad. All good. I recommend it and I guess I will take the same hotel for next trip
We told reception about this, they sent maintenance man up, but it was still freezing after he left. We then had to request two more quilts for the beds, which was much better. Staff did try to help, but we were really uncomfortable, especially when we showered the next morning. Have stayed before without any problems.
The air conditioning/ heater didn't work properly. Didn't blow hotter at all. Needs sorting. Don't know if the room was exceptionally cold because it was at the end of the building. It wasn't particularly freezing outsider even.
Excellent members and very helpful. Copious breakfast and very good bar food. Location is central to reach any where in london
Location. We were attending a show at the Hammersmith Apollo
At 4 am my 84 yr old mother broke her hip in the bathroom and after a 4hr wait face down on the cold floor the emergency services could not get a stretcher up to the 3rd floor as the lifts (inc. the service lift) were too small - WHO DESIGNED THIS HOTEL? She had to be manhandled into a wheelchair and the Consultant remarked it was one of the worst breaks seen
Friendly from reception to breakfast. Very professional. No complaints.
Lots of underground parking but pricey even at hotel rates. Free wifi but no password obvious so didnt bother.
ok not bad loction Hammersmith quite busy good transport links with tube only a 5 minute walk away. Room size enough for a single person. Bathroom well stocked with towels & soup etc. Bed was fine warm and comfortable.
A few points I have to mention about my stay. The telephone did not work at all even after a visit from maintaince. The picture on hotel tv blanked out sound only for short while. Matter was resloved by the visit of the repairman. After arriving back after my night out I asked for a call at 08.45am, I never the alarm call I guess it had something to do with the phone not working.!!!
