Novotel London West  

The location was convenient for me on this visit.

The number one way to annoy business travellers is to rip them off for bad-quality Internet access. Novotel London West charges £15.50 for a "special offer" of wired Internet access and tv per night. There is nothing "special" about that. Especially since many guests travel with iPads and other wireless-only devices. I mean what century is this again? Why not charge for electricity too? The hotel has a deal with Orange to provide unreliable, slow wireless "broadband" you can only pick up in the draughty, noisy lobby. The breakfast was OK, but the breakfast bar is chaotic around 9am. I complained about the Internet issues but the staff just shrugged. I certainly would not recommend this place.

The freindly welcome received on our arrival and the relaxed apmoshere of the environment. The food was wholesome and adequate for our wants and good value for money. In easy access to the Appollo Theatre. An all good round experience.

Location. Close to major underground and bus station

On cosmos tour. All guests locked out of rooms at 7 am. Tub wouldn't drain. Kids allowed to use public computers.

Robert on reception was helpful and pleasant. The housekeeper who got our room sorted when the first was not satisfactory was excellent.

Would have preferred knowing in advance exactly what it would cost to park there. Had we known the price we might have used the train.

Free Wifi is not available. Free wifi is common now in same level hotels!

The Hotel staff were friendly and helpful but breakfast service was poor due to the numbers of guests but not due to the hard work of the insufficient staff who did their best. Location is good with a few decent pubs and easy access to Victoria and London via the nearby underground.

The conference area was well below requirements. Heavily overcrowded and impossible to carry out any business on day one. The executive room is a bit spartan and there is no bath. No bath which is a must after being on your feet all day. The internet access is a paid service so I always consider this a rip off and avoid if at all .possible. The room was a bit pricey given that it was a bit basic in spite of being described as executive. I shudder to think what the non-executive rooms are like. It may sound picky but the outside of the hotel is very ugly and such comments are subjective in any case.

The only reason I chose Novotel Hammersmith is its proximity to Charing Cross Hospital. I was happy with internet service and the receptionist helped me with plug adapter for my computer. Rooms were generally speaking OK; within London standards.

Opportunity to improve restaurant food, especially as area around hotel is "light" on dinning options. Also vending machines are closed at night, just when you need to access a snack (no mini-bar in rooms).

Waited ages to get a lift into the hotel. About 30 people waiting. No signs to show alternative way in.

Location was very good and staff were friendly and helpful.

Car park charges were ridiculous and should be stated on their website. There was a fire alarm in the hotel and the organisation of visitors was poor at best. Had there been a real fire I doubt everyone would have left the building. Nobody showed any urgency to evacuate guests and even when we did see staff they provided no instruction of where to go. It was more a case of use ur own initiative. Extremely poor and a serious look at the health and safety of this hotel should be a priority.
