The hotel is conveniently located central Manchester. Nice and efficient facilities. I was charged for breakfasts I did not have. The bill of breakfast amounting almost half the cost of the room! It shows lack of internal control, and lack of respect for customers. (It is not an excuse to say most people eat breakfast, because I don't).

I arrived at the hotel in the morning after staying across the road at the MacDonald Townhouse. I found the difference acutely negative. First impressions count and the Night Manager, although polite and serviceable, was dour and negative and gave me the impression he would rather be anywhere else, and would rather be serving anyone other than myself. The room was pleasant enough, but I had to keep the curtains closed at all times on account of the rooms opposite. I was profoundly disappointed to discover that you charge for wifi. This service is gratis at the townhouse and is a rather meanspirited way of procuring extra money. I would never stay or reccomend the hotel on the basis of unfriendly staff and needless charges.

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for his 40th Birthday! The staff were absolutely lovely, very very friendly, the hotel was spotless, the room was very clean and I cannot fault anything at all with this hotel. Excellent location and central to everywhere, parking facilities were excellent and only a minute away from the hotel. I cannot wait to go back and this time will take the children. I recommend this to anyone, couples, families or business! well worth the cost. Thanks Novotel!!!! x

The girl on reception when we arrived was very down to earth, friendly and welcoming.Quite refreshing to other city hotels that we have stopped in where the staff have been cold and unwelcoming. The room was clean and well presented and had everything you needed. Very quiet, no noise from ajoining rooms.Excellent location for the Academy (where we were going), bars and shopping and lovely Indian restaurant next door, highly recommend! Good parking next to hotel and discount for hotel guests. The separate toilet was much too small, you struggled to get into it.We went into the bar at the end of the night; drinks were double the price that they had been in town and the atmosphere in the bar was not good. I think it was so quiet possibly because of the overpricing of drinks. Breakfast was almost £17 for full english, hence the fact we went to a local well known chain of pub close by for under half the price of the hotel. The hotel need to rethink their overpricing and then it would be close to perfect for the price and location

Service was very good from the off. Was able to get into room at 9.30 and freshen up before my meeting began. Room very well equippped - particularly liked ipod dock and size of sofa which helped make the trip relaxing. I ate in bar/lounge which I normally wouldn't but was very tired. Food was very good standard, reasonable price and Guiness was excellent (my wife's Irish so I should know) Nice atmosphere and nice mix of clientel.

I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast with the price of the room this was great value for money. The hotel does not have it's own parking facilities, we parked at Q Park for convenience but even after the hotel discount the price of £13-50 was quite expensive.

Friendly staff at reception. Comfy warm bed. Close to Metro. Close walking distance to Shopping center. Great location for access to Old Trafford. Short walk from Sackville Street if you get off coach from Liverpool. Really couldn't believe how close everything was. Great break, great hotel.... Price of breakfast £13.50... went a few doors down the street and got full english breakfast for £1.99....the cost for the two of us was £6.30 where it would have been £27. With the times that are in it this is far too expensive.

The room actually looked like what they did on the info section, which can not be said for all hotels especially if you book a room at a discount rate. Good size room, room facilities I.E. bathroom, bed etc. all very clean and of high standard.
