Novotel Manchester Centre    

We were very impressed with the hotel, the staff, and the room. We booked the hotel for the central location as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere near to the shops and restaurants and Novotel was ideal for that. The executive room we booked had everything we wanted and was very well appointed with a great bathroom and separate toilet, which was ideal. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had breakfast included with the booking which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely stay at the Novotel again.

The most imp thing is convenience and comfort. I always prefer to stay in this hotel because it is very near to Manchester Arndale/city center and Man-Piccadilly. So easy to catch a train. Normally on a business trip you are free after meetings and its great to visit City center or go for a movie for leisure. On top of that restaurants are nearby so no prob for food. Staff is friendly and hotel is clean too so its proper value of money. Definitely recommended.

Being a regular member, what I didn't like is when a staff is asking for security money with advance. Nowadays its all about service and you need to give comfort and value to your regular customers.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The sofa bed had been made up for us when we arrived as requested. Room was very clean, no problems at all.

The rooms were fab and comfy !! Breakfast in the room was a great touch .. The foyer ,bar and restaurant were very fresh and modern and we will most definitely stay here again !

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and efficient and very helpful when asking for directions to various locations. Excellent breakfast and always fresh no matter what time we went down. A late checkout was also ideal for us. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Perhaps the tv needs upgrading but nothing else.

10 minute walk to town centre. Friendly staff. Spa. Place to leave luggage after check out. Clean. Spacious rooms.

I liked the central location, walking distance from the train station, and close to the conference center, next door to Chinatown. The room was nice and the bathroom was excellent.

It was a pain to have to pay for in room internet access. 10 pounds for the broadband deal in quite hefty. Although it didn't feel unsafe, several access to the hotel went through rather dark alleyways.

The staff were very pleasant and welcoming.

Was expecting more from the room. The carpet wasn't very clean as it had a big stain on the carpet. The bed creaked everytime I got out and the sink plug wasn't cleaned at all.

Helpful staff. No problem leaving luggage for collection later after checking out. Would have preferred softer pillows.

Room service dinner arrived cold. No TV available on the morning of my departure.

Breakfast buffet very average. The hotel also took payment from my card 2 days before arrival which was a problem as I had booked 2 rooms, the 2nd for a colleague. They did sort out the bills & refund my card for the 2nd room.

Great location right by Chinatown with easy (if rather expensive) parking. The room was very comfortable and well equipped and no noise at night so had a good nights sleep both nights. Breakfast was good buffet style with good service and lots of choice. Gym was well equipped and everything worked and was clean so overall a good experience and will stay there again.

Very expensive for what you actually get. Woodchip wallpaper, stayed at Ibis for a fraction of this last year.

Outside hotel had some rubbish - but this was Manchester in general (streets needed cleaners) not the hotel. But did think the hotel cleaners could maybe have given it a once over!
