Good parking facilities We have stayed at this hotel twice and on both occassions have found that when there is a wedding reception, screaming children are allowed to run wild in the hotel reception area and are not restricted to the wedding room. Not a relaxing atmosphere at night. |

Very clean. Bed very comfortable. Nice large room and the shower was excellent. I had to complain about the cooked breakfast delivered to my room and got a refund (cold food, stewed tea). |

The room was nice. There was a good variety of food offered for breakfast. The staff who cleaned the rooms very friendly. No-one was available at reception when I wanted to check out. I had to leave without checking out officially. I did not owe any money as I had pre-paid & had no extras. I think it is outrageous that you charge guests for the car park. In 25 years of business travel I have never been charged for parking my car in the hotel I was staying and already paying for !!!! The breakfast had a good variety but was prepared too far in advance. I ate early (at 7am) and the bacon was like shoe leather. |

I strongly object having to pay £5 for parking while staying at the hotel a complete rip off |

Great value for money and a very handy location for our purpose Car parking extremely busy and difficult to find a space at night. Cars parked on grass verges and in exit spaces |

The staff were very helpful and there was a good selection of food for vegetarians. I was disappointed to find that the shuttle bus did not run after 21:30 as our flight arrived at 21:45. There was an awful lot of noise from fellow guests in the corridor outside our room on the Saturday night. |

Staff were helpful, breakfast was good but cooked food could have been a little hotter. Lighting in bedroom was inadequate. This is a common failing in hotels and shows no consideration to poorly sighted people. We stayed at this hotel because my wife had an early morning appointment at the Newcastle Royal Victorian Hospital which has the major eye department for the North of England. |

Very convenient for the airport and major roads. Staff were very friendly. Food at dinner was much better than we would have anticipated. Rooms were very well equipped with iron and ironing board and amenities. Overall a good stay. Would certainly use it again We are not used to square continental pillows and found them difficult to sleep on. Check in was a little slow. |

The room was fantastic. Vey good size, clean and luxurious bathroom, very comfortable bed. Also, excellent shuttle service to the hotel and facility to check in on flight from reception the following morning. The restaurant was awful. The food was expensive and poor - the mushroom & spinach pie was bland and tasteless and the garlic bread was burnt. It took quite a while to get served. Also, it was hard to find the pickup point for the shuttle bus - better signage required. |

The cleanliness of the rooms and the the general standard of decoration within the rooms was good. Great shower facilities. The price charged to stay on the saturday night was expensive. We had dinner from the buffet on the Sunday night and the standard of the food was poor. Much of it looked as if it had been sitting under the heat lamps for too long. The changing rooms for the pool area were dirty with used towels and shower gel bottles lying around the floor and shower area. |

doing the Great North Run. Bed was not very comfy, and the price for Saturday night was double Friday night, prices pushed up just because of the run, a bit naughty when accommodation so hard to find. |
