Just off exit 25 of highway M1, the Novotel Nottingham is located between Nottingham and Derby. It has rooms with king-sized beds, a heated outdoor pool and a restaurant. The Novotel Nottingham East Midlands Hotel has large rooms with private bathrooms. They all include wired internet connections, satellite TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. The Elements Restaurant has a menu featuring traditional cuisine. The Lobby Bar is open late and there is also a snooker table for guests to enjoy. East Midlands Airport and Donnington Park are both a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Nottingham’s fantastic stores and castle are just 8 miles away. There is free parking at the hotel. Close to the airport. We had to ask for tea and coffee plus extra milks. Also we did not have any shower gel or shampoo in our room. Did not realise until too late as we left early morning!

None of the above, the hotel is tired and needs to be refurbed desperately. The rooms are old fashioned, the TV is so out of date and it has a separate toilet and shower!

It was impossible to exit the bed on the left side. It was just inches from a very rough wall. For people needing to get up in the night this was completely unsatisfactory and I should have asked for a refund.

It is very convenient for wheelchair dependant visitors It really is long overdue redecoration and the passageway to guestrooms and the rooms are quite grubby although always clean and tidy

The room was very comfortable. I feel the rooms can have the bathrooms updated and general modernisation. Some new mattresses as the spare bed in the room was very stained.

Spacious room with every thing you need and all in good working order. Comfortable king size bed. Linen and towels good quality. Arrived on Christmas Eve and ordered last minute Christmas lunch. Staff couldn't have been more accommodating and attentive. Food excellent quality.

The price was good. The restraurant offered a reasonable selection bearing in mind its a 3 star. The staff were friendy. The room, if a little basic, was clean(but see below) and the bed comfortable. The carpets in the room and corridors were in need of a good clean. It looked as though people with dirty boots/shoes had been walking on them. The toilet in the room we had, although clean,felt like one in an even more basic hotel - the walls were decorated in a very rough coating. One or two doors along the corridor looked as though they had been broken into with very rough repairs. I suspect that the hotel gets quite hard treatment from guests.

Giving the keys back !!!!!!!! Reception staff great. Room like being taken back to the 1970's. Borat would have felt comfortable - the wife and I were disappointed with both the room and the fact that "crufts" was being held downstairs. Had we known that the foyer would have been full of dog hair we would not have booked the hotel. The room was basic and comfortable - however not remotely what we expected. We wont be returning and certainly feel reluctant to book with Novotel in the future.

Location for someone commuting up the m1 This was the first hotel I have stayed in where the toilet, although in the room, was a separate wc, with no water in it... The sink and the bath tub where in another room. It was old, and outdated. The doors were old, the switches were old, the TV was old, the hangers in the open wardrobe were old... You could hear noise from the adjoining rooms, such as snoring and use of the bathroom

The same poor standard as in the IBIS Hotels, room service like not available, you can sleep in a caravan, the bed will be the same next evening than you come home. I have some pictures if you like to get more information.
