The near location to Plymouth city center. The lift was not working for our complete stay of two nights. I noticed other guests struggling with their luggage up the stairs.

The hotel is bright pleasant & OK !! for a quick stop-over facilities are good staff very helpful & friendly also price wise you would have to go a long way to beat it !! as the Travel lodges / inn's advertise one (budget price) but you try getting that budget price another story altogether. Have now stopped using the Travel lodges as I hate the whole rip-off idea of advertising one price & then charging a altogether higher price. The hotel needs to advise their cleaning room staff that if you use a bleach based cleaner you would not get mould in the bathrooms also a slight muggy smell which I also believe to be mould originated??? we went into 4 separate rooms on arrival as we were first put into doubles ( being four of us in total) & we wanted two lots of twins & all of the rooms had the same sort of muggy smell !!! but price wise it was very good so hey i suppose you have to put up with some bad stuff. Although I think if the cleaners were overseen by a cleaning manager it would possibly be another story??

It was quiet. The buffet was good. The staff where friendly. The bed wasn't comfortable. The bar service was rubbish because there was no one serving at the bar when people wanted a drink. The prices for food and drink seemed to be fairly excessive.

This is a cheap hotel, located conveniently next to major road corridor through Plymouth. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is just as well as there is very little else in the immediate neighborhood. The decor reminded me of hotels in Eastern Europe: tasteless but reasonably practical. We used the hotel as a base for trips outside of Plymouth and for that purpose it was great. If we wanted to explore Plymouth itself, then the location would have been a problem. The carpet in our room could use thorough cleaning or replacing. The elevator didn't work. I booked a twin room but was given a double -- which was rectified after 20 minutes wait. Despite the room being a twin one, we only got three towels altogether (two large and one small) and only one sachet of shampoo and shower gel, no additional sachets were supplied the following day. We ate in the hotel restaurant (buffet dinner with a set charge per person) and at check out I got a bil for three persons instead of two. Overall, the impression was that the hotel is a bit disorganized and it saving pennies while potentially alleniating customers.

Cleanliness was shocking. We moved rooms 3 times until we were finally given a room that was acceptable for our use. Facilities etc for a short stay booking are not high on my agenda, but cleanliness is, this facility fell way short of being acceptable in my opinion.

Breakfast. This hotel is in urgent need of refurbishment. The layout of the rooms was poor and the decor was shabby with dirty carpets and missing bits and pieces in the bathrooms, ie no plug in the washbasin and no toilet roll holder.

We found the Legacy Hotel Plymouth to be very freindly and relaxing. Bar drinks reasonable. Food excelent, and affordable. This was our second time of staying in two months, and would,nt hesitate on staying again very soon. Highly recomend it. There was only one thing that could make an already good atmosphere beter, and that would be some varied music in the bar, especialy in the evening, to add to the atmosphere. We were very happy with everything.

The breakfast was really nice, we went down for breakfast early so everything was fresh and hot. The lift didn't work, I reviewed hotel before booking and saw that the lift wasn't working, but because that was at thed beginning of the year I thought it would be mended, but it wasn'T. Beware if you are disabled or have a baby.

The location of it just off the A38 and to my friends wedding party, the staff where quite helpful even if they couldn't find my wifes hand bag that she had left in the back of a taxi. But they did try and phone around quite a few of the taxi firms. But luckly we managed to get it back the next day by phoning my wife mobile and the taxi office answered. The only thing that I would say about the hotel in out short stay we had there was it could of done with a fridge in the room, we weren't there for long enough to try oout the bar but it did look ok.

The purpose of my visit was to visit family locally so found the hotel to be in a good location. I thought it was value for money though the accomodation did look a bit tired and in need of a refurbishment. particularly the bathroom in the room needed some tlc badly. If the hotel has a refurbishment planned I would be happy to stay again otherwise I will go to the premier inn over the road in future. the bar area was not very clean and the furniture had seen better days.

The staff, they were very helpful. Our room was cleaned enough so the manger took notes and brought it to the housekeepers attention. When we came back the room was spotless. Wasn't a loud enviourment to stay dispite how close it is to the a38. The toilet which was saperate from the bathroom had its own small room with a wooden floor, it had no natural light and felt abit clostrophic inside.
