The bath and the comfy bed
The bed was very comfortable. The room (12th floor) was quiet and spacious.
The free wifi had terrible reception in my room (even though the hotspot was just outside in the corridor). It was so poor, it was unusable. Also, they don't tell you that the free wifi is actually heavily speed limited (although I had such poor reception in my room, I didn't bother paying for the upgrade). I also set up a wakeup call with the automated system for 6:20am. The phone rang in the morning - but unfortunately it was actually 5:40am! This was very poor. In addition, the system informed me it was 6:15am, despite having requested a 6:20am call (I later read in some small print that the system only works on quarter-hours - but the system didn't tell me this when I set it, and it even confirmed a 6:20am wake up). Also, upon checkin I had to fill out a health and safety form because I wanted to use the gym (first time I've ever seen this, but ok). But the guy didn't mention that I also had to get my room key enabled to access the gym. So I had to go back to reception to do this - why couldn't it all happen at checkin? Poor comfort rating because of these points.
I stayed with my boyfriend for valentines day! Good central location, lovely room and polite staff!
my grandchildren enjoyed the pool, and the Saturday play time in the afternoon, which was very well done
room, upgraded to an executive room remained ice cold for the whole stay, the last night I was given a useless blow el heater
The hotel was in a good location for shops bars and the train station.
The cost of parking in the hotel car park £14 for 24 hours, the cost of breakfast in the hotel £16+ as you can get a better breakfast in yates bar for £4 we had breakfast once during our stay in the hotel and the service was poor no bread for the toast no milk with our tea and coffee and the food was average
Breakfast, fantastic Leisure factions good but could do with jacuzzi too All round good hotel
Parking - we parked in NCP, the receptionist forgot to tell us we had to stamp the car park ticket to get 50% off. So as we didn't know it added £22 on to our bill. We feel we should have been re-emberssed for this but we didn't.
Good location, friendly, helpful staff, wonderful room and facilities. Free Wi-Fi was very useful. Would definitely stay there again.
The lady who checked us in was very professional and accomodating. Really enjoyed our stay here and the location was excellent.
Location & comfort. Would stay again.
The lifts, couldn't get them to work but no hassle as just took the stairs.
Good central hotel to explore Reading.
Had to park in the NCP carpark to the rear of the hotel at an additional costm
All tried to help in anyway.
Comfort. Friendly staff. Location and good breakfast.
The lift was a bit of a pain. As waited a while and being.on top floor .
location, close to all amenities (Bars, clubs and restuarants ), a stones throw from town and the station
Reception staff were amazing. Good comfy bed. Late check-out facility.
Had to wait a while to be let-in via car-park door as nobody was answering buzzer and ended up having to call reception.
Staff were lovely
The comfortable bed, nice bathroom, great location
Breakfast was served promptly as ordered to the room. Beds are so comfy
quick check in & out gave a discount for local NCP car park good breakfast
Hotel was right in the middle of town which was great. We were even given the room at the back of hotel to have nice a peaceful stay. There was gym and swimming poor which was a massive bonus. The breakfast was lovely. Especially variety of different freshly baked breads. Loved it!staff was lovely and helpful!
One thing that we didn't like was the price of car park . £14 per night which I think it's overpriced. When you book a room, parking should be for free!
Breakfast was nice
the bed was really uncomfortable and we had to force the bathroom door passed the bed for it to shut as it was too close
Could ha Be had more comfortable bed
Card to access room not working even if changed ..very annoying.
Spacious room with good facilities
Bed was like a rock, even after being moved to a second room! Double glazing is absolute rubbish!! Noise from bars and traffic until gone 3am in the morning. Even after complaining we where still charged £14 for the carpark. We would never stay here again.
Large selection for breakfast and ended at 11 so no rush to get up. Car parking was really close and just £10 for 24 hours when you got a ticket from reception.
We were given a basic room when I had booked executive. (A treat for my friends 30th birthday) We went down to talk to reception and I was asked to show a bank statement to prove how much I had paid for the room, despite me having email confirmation and it being on my booking.com app page that I had booked an executive room. (The difference was only £20 anyway!) After quite a bit of shouting... Mostly from the supposed manager behind the front desk Booking.com office was called and we were given our correct room. I had hoped for a nice pampered relaxing weekend treat for my friend but it ended up all feeling like a hassle. Personally the bed was too hard for me so I ended up with a sore back and little sleep. My friend liked it and slept fine. Overall the hotel was nice enough but I didn't feel that for the amout I paid it was value for money and would most probably look for an alternative if I went to stay back in Reading.
I thing I enjoyed the most was the gym, swimming pool and sauna
The lift, I thought it could of been easier to walk up and down the stairs! Because by the time the lift took us up we could have walked up the stairs.
