Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast fantastic. Super, large entrance area. Lovely pool. Children loved the x-box and Wii, as do not have at home. Would certainly recommend to friends and family.

Could not fault the hotel at all.Everything perfect.Lovely friendly staff, very clean hotel & breakfast was very good. I would definately stay at this hotel again but on a negative (nothing to do with the hotel)there are lots of hen/stag parties & when we went out for our evening meal, every restaurant was full so i would recommend pre booking a table somewhere. Apart from that,we had a great time.Shopping centre is very good with a good selection of shops :)

We liked the breakfast with a few reservations and the children's play area and pool (though it could have been cleaner). The rooms were good too with separate loos and a door to seperate off the bathroom area from the bedroom/ living area. The noise from a nearby fair, undercooked tomatoes at breakfast and the smell of the water in the pool.

We enjoyed to stay in this Hotel. Staff were very friendly, especially in the lobby bar and in restaurant. Location is good with short walking distance to city centre and major sights. No traffic noice. Our room was recently refurbished so it was clean and nice. Small pool area can be used as well. Breakfast was nice as well and very well organised with out any hassle. I would say that this hotel has trained their staff for excellent customer service, well done. It was a bit pricey due to high peak season (Easter) but it was still good value for money thanks for customer service and very friendly, relaxed athmosfare. Only issue where we weren't satisfied was room cleaning time. We expect that in hotel like this, it is not acceptable to wait until 4:30 p.m. once room is cleaned.

Design of bedroom outstanding, movable workstation and TV. Also excellent bathroom with bath and separate toilet. Only room from numerous hotels I have stayed in that have been upgraded with door on wardrobe. Big window so very light. If available, I would have liked the opportunity to be offered a river view rather than the carpark. Map for directions to walk on river into town needs to be clearer. Bedside tables far too small. The one with the phone on left no room for anything else eg book reading before turning out the light.

It was a great, family friendly hotel. The reception/bar area was well equipped for both children and adults allowing everyone to have fun/ relax. The pool was lovely and a welcome activity at the end of a day's sightseeing. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Food good and value for money - especially the family meal offer.

Very good location, and nicely furnished hotel. We had a problem with a fan in our room, and the staff moved all our things to another room straight away. Very good service and pleasant place to stay. Will definately stay next time in York.

stayed here on another occasion last year, the pool area has now been refurbished as well as the reception. Staff are as helpful and friendly as they were on our first stay. The facilities are ideal for a family with children of any age and the location of the hotel is within easy walking distance of york town centre.Breakfast was included for us and was excellent. As with any hotel the bar prices are far too expensive.

Pricier than a Premier Inn - but that bit better. Worth spending the extra if you'd like to stay somewhere with an better than average bathroom (incl massive fixed head shower) and slightly nicer lobby areas etc. Couldn't fathom how to use the wifi - the setup is accessed via the TV, and was more bother than it was worth. Also, where is the MP3 channel on the TV?!

Just a walk away from city centre. Breakfast was nice. Pool was nice but very small. Very disappointed in the hotel for the price!! Paid £159 for a superior room for one night and it definately wasnt worth that at all!!!!!!!! Not superior in my eyes!!!!!!!!
