Score from 616 reviews Superb
I liked the location, the atmosphere, the room was sensational, the décor was pleasant and up to date. The staff were only too happy to help. I have stayed at this hotel 5 times this year and I will stay again and again. A real must for the business traveller. The bathrooms have under floor heating and their is on site secure parking. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. SUPERB
TV could be a little bigger
Staff very good. Room large with good view. Nice fluffy towels.
The hotel bar has undergone a refurbishment and is a nice area for drinks, serving a good selection.
The breakfast was a huge disappointment, with the quality of the cooked items extremely poor. It was obvious that the cheapest ingredients were used. The reception staff also seem to be running around doing too many jobs. It's not exactly a relaxing start to a trip away to be greeted by a flustered receptionist!
Room had view over Queen's Park - spacious. Bit of a maze of corridors to get there and motion detector light didn't work the first time I exited. Reception warned us of function but the noise wasn't obtrusive and it ended at midnight, as promised. Restaurant and bar very good.
Carpark at rear was hard to access
The bed was terrible...that infuriating thing of 2 single mattresses together with the growing gap in between that gets larger as the night goes on! Poor bed linen as well..come into the 21st Century and try some fitted sheets!!!
Huge room with a lovely view of park. Nice big bathroom.
Carpet a bit grubby.
Food, facilities and staff all excellent.
magnificent room great breakfast
staff were very very helpful.
TV was a little on the small side, stuck on a wall and not in a great place.
stayed here again Sat 15th Nov for a wedding and again had great service from the staff
Lovely old building with friendly staff. Nice and clean, lovely tea and biscuits, and a comfortable bath.
A synthetic mattress protector meant that I was hot and uncomfortable. I developed an heat rash where I was in contact with the mattress and didn't sleep well.
The food was good and Staff really good.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Didn't spend a lot of time in the room but it was spacious and comfortable.
No valuable services provided according to the room payment taken. At least should provide facility of breakfast for late arrival guests.
it was easy to get to.
.Was told there was a wedding on but we wouldn't hear anything.
The rooms very small but neatly kept up. The bsthroom was very nicely done up with toiletries. Towels etc were very new and fresh. City centre was verynear. the taxi took £ 6 for a drop.
There is no lift ......so very difficult to take your bags to upper floors. Although the receptionist was very helpfull in giving a hand.
Everything, staff, room, food, bar. This hotel is first class. Will be back.
Everything love this hotel.
Friendly staff. Good food.
Room far too small. No hot water in sink. Shower went hot/cold depending on other people in hotel using water. No full length mirror in room and only a small open wardrobe. Found chocolate on bedroom floor. The TV in our room was not tuned in and we had complained so much we did not bother to mention this. They reduced our bill by £20.00 and gave us a free drink each after we complained. Safer to stick with Holiday Inn etc - at least you know what to expect. we struggled to get a room on the south side of Glasgow so made do but not impressed.
The food is excellent and the staff are all friendly, nice large spacious rooms and a great location
Lovely big room Good food
The staff are the friendliest ever. Food in new bar was excellent. Receptionist didn't charge us for breakfast when we queried new tarrif!
Booked and didn't realise price had increased by so much and Now didn't even include breakfast.
- Good location - Tasteful decor in the communal area
Extremely poor value for money at £150 per night - Couldn't open the bathroom window - Mildew on the shower sealant - Twin beds pushed together not a double - Only 1 toilet roll - Only 1 hand towel - Veneer furniture - Parking is via an unmaid road
