Everything was top notch. We felt totally looked after and a little pampered. This is the perfect place for lots of R and R. Lesley is a lovely, friendly host with lots of great local knowledge. We loved it!
What is there not to like?
Breakfast is amazing ! Lovely rooms lovely location 5 star B and B . Are second time we live it .
Book a suite, the view is breathtaking. Breakfast is superb!
I was worries suite 7 wouldn't be great as all the reviews were about suite 2. But it was beautiful! No bath in 7 but the website does tell you that. Arnside is a beautiful town and well located for trips to the seaside or the Lakes.
It was so clean
Would like small breakfast tables not just one big one
Best hotel weve stayed in. Attention to detail was excellent
General ambiance OK; staff OK, but Lesley (owner) got off on the wrong foot with us straight away.
Unfortunately it was very hot weather and room 5 upstairs at the back could not be cooled down, even with the window permanently wide open. The owner was very abrupt when we arrived - almost accused us of not telling her when we would come, although we had e-mailed her and she had responded. The price: £140 per night - too much for what is a glorified B&B.
From the moment a weary traveler walks through the front door, you can actually feel your whole body, mind and soul say "Ahhhhh." Lesley, the quintessential Innkeeper, is concerned with offering a top flight environment as well as hospitality and service and is there for any guidance or suggestions as far as dining, sightseeing, travel routes, etc. Beds that are like smooth, comfortable cloud envelopes to slip into, shining bathrooms with all the conveniences, sumptuous breakfasts, and loads of little goodies that make you feel you never want to leave, from the music to the flowers to the little crystal glasses of port at bedtime. Her staff of helpers are A+, especially sparkly Meagan: cheerful and as quiet as elves as they pop 'round keeping everything spotless and keeping smiles on all the guests' faces. We were there for a Lake District wedding and truly: staying at Number 43 was definitely the largest pearl on our string of British holiday memories.
Breakfast variet and option to eat in room. Beautiful views out the front.
Friendly and helpful staff Perfect location with stunning view Excellent room, very comfortable and clean
We liked everything at number 43! Lesley the owner couldnt have been more helpful and the staff were Fab!! Room was beautiful and the food was delicious!
There was nothing to dislike
Food excellent, room excellent
We liked everything, lesley made us feel very welcome. The room was top class, the breakfast was lovely, the location was perfect. We would highly recommend this hotel. We will be going back again loved every minute we stayed there. Thanks so much lesley you made us so happy.
Everything.No43 was the best accomodation we have had in the UK.,with very friendly and competent staff, all overseen by the charming host
We really enjoyed our stay at No43. Our room was at the back but this wasn't a problem as the very comfortable Resident's lounge has amazing views over the Estuary. Breakfast and coffee were excellent . Lots of complimentary touches such as fluffy dressing gowns and we really appreciated fresh milk in our room. Lesley, the host was very warm and friendly and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble.
Nothing I didn't like. Lesley has taken a lot of trouble to know what her market expects, and she provides it. Such a sweeping statement does not do justice to the attention to detail that is evident in every aspect of her business, and how she runs it. She deserves to do well.
Warm welcome, excellent rooms and food,Views to die for,5* around
Should have stayed longer
Warm friendly welcome with comfortable / luxurious facilities and fabulous breakfasts in the heart of Arnside. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent and attentive staff. Lovely, comfortable and warm B & B. Great attention to detail and a superb breakfast
Location; nearby catering opportunities;staff, especially owner; thoughtful up to date facilities.
Not a thing
The wifiwasn't working There was no water from the taps at all on one of the mornings I stayed The room was not cleaned properly overnight - dirty glasses left uncleaned If you are going to charge £130 per night for a single visitor, it needs to be perfect
The scenery and Arnside in general is beautiful.
Wrong choice of staying here carried away from previews of previous customers, not worth a penny of our money, poor customer service,no wi-fi ,to many rules, have to eat your breakfast with others!!.....you wake up in the morning by the smell of the kitchen's breakfast......
