I have been there several times before. I love the location, the building, genuine as it is, and the sympathy/flexibility of the staff.

Lift was antiquated.

The bedrooms are lovely but the other rooms in the hotel are also superb. The drawing room for afternoon tea, the library and bar make any stay here extremely pleasant. Staff are also great and the location is superb.

We were in suite in the mews which was nice but a little chilly. It has AC which can heat the rooms but there is a fireplace with gas fire which was not connected - it would have been lovely to use it.

This hotel is incredibly charming, very unique like nothing else I've seen in London. It's a very homey and personal little boutique hotel hidden away on a quiet private street in Sloan Square/Chelsea, though just a short walk from busy Kings Road with all the shops and cafes of Sloan Square, and a 5 minute walk to the tube station. Saatchi Gallery is a terrific attraction with wonderful exhibits worth seeing, and has a fantastic restaurant attached, with outdoor seating overlooking a vast grassy area. The hotel decor is eclectic, quite dark and mysterious with dark, creaky wooden floors and a grand staircase with wooden banisters that sweeps all 4 floors, portraits in antique frames lining all the walls. But the ambiance is anything but dark! There are lots of public spaces, a gorgeous library with old books lining the shelves, velvet drapes and velvet couches; a stunning and beautifully appointed drawing room/parlor with a working fireplace and white furniture and accents; a fun and quirky bar/lounge with a grand red glass chandelier. There's a well- equipped 24-hour gym, a beautiful restaurant decorated all in white, serving outstanding food, and an outdoor terrace for the warmer weather. Continental or full English breakfasts with fresh squeezed juices. The hotel was originally a single-residence mansion which comprised 3 buildings built in the late 19th century, so you feel like you're staying in someone's home rather than a hotel. The place is like a labyrinth, and combining all 3 buildings means that all the bedrooms are different and unique unto themselves, no two alike. Some decorated in light colors, some darker, each with its own unique shape and size, with antique furniture throughout. Working windows too! Even though the hotel is so wonderful itself, the staff is the real reason to stay here. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them!

There were no negatives to mention!

Beautiful facilities Lots of common area space: several rooms with different feels including a terrace. Excellent and very friendly staff with various language fluencies. Very nice breakfast room and buffet. Peaceful and quiet street, but still just a short walk from main street, Sloane square and tube.

Only quibble with location is that Sloane Square tube stop not as convenient as some for those doing business in a number of different areas in the city as we were. A very minor point for most visitors.

After staying in claridges and millennium. For many years. And have saw the decline in both. At last we have found. Our London base when we travel to uk. Thanks to all the staff.

The room was small and not best position. However. As it was for only one night. And we had a late arrival. We where ok. But on our next visit. We will make sure that we rectify. This.

The staff were very helpful and we were upgraded to a lovely suite (the Presidential Suite), which was amazing! We found all the staff to be excellent. Thankyou!

We were booked into the wrong room. This room was dark (all red) and the lighting was inadequate.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at No 11 Cadogan Gardens, we received a very friendly welcome and we loved the place.

Breakfast was poorer than I expected for a 5 star hotel, very little choice.

Location. Breakfast and Tea. All non-british but very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet room.

Shabby-chic slightly taken to the extremes in the standard bed room I had. Open wooden floor planks where you can see through to the ceiling underneath is not for everyone and a disaster if you drop something - you will never retrieve it again.

I love it , feel at home

Staff very obliging and friendly. Lots of character and charm. Very quiet nights sleep away from the London nightlife but perfectly located for shopping on foot around Chelsea/Knightsbridge area.

No complaints. Small niggle that bar was not open to residents on Sat night due to private function but thankfully we were well looked after in library.

It was an excellent stay. The staff is excellent, always friendly and helpfull. The consiergeservice was able to in a great way to fullfill all our wishes for excellent tables at some excellent restaurants near by ("Bibendum" , "Colbert" and "Launceston Place"). We had an excellent after noon tea in the hotels drawing room ( we had the table just in front of the open fireplace and had then the best table (out of four tables). The library was nice for a morning coffee and reading. We did not eat neither breakfast or dinner at the hotel, but the meny looked inviting and the restaurant looked nice. You have the feeling of luxury, but at the same time you have a feeling of home. The location is great, beeing 5 minutes walk from Sloan Square and the tube (circle line). You can take the tube direct to Kings Cross/ Pancrass St if you are heading for Eurostar. You have access to a beautiful garden just on the other side of the very calm small street. The numbering of the houses on the street is somewhat strange ( no 11 beeing next to no 5...). There is a gym also in the building and a 24 hour bar, reception and roomservice available for the guests. The hotel is situated in an old victorian house. The hotel is cosy and dark with a lot of paintings in "gold" frames and books and such things so if you are looking for a moderns, minimalistic hotel this is not the right hotel for you, but if you are looking for a charming hotel far from al chain hotels, this is just what you want. The hotel have just over 50 rooms, but you feel like a lot less due to all the excellent attention you get when staying here. I will definately return!

The meny for roomservice is quite limited and the hamburges is a little boring I must say. The roomservice was however quick and to be fair, I am very picky when it comes to burgers and this is not usually what I prefere. I would maybe suggest to also add some kind of sallad to the menu. The rooms in the hotel are nicely decorated, but some of the rooms is somewhat small and some of them with not much view from the window. We had ordered a superior room and had room 307 which is a nice room, but somewhat smaller than expected when you order a superior room. The room had also a nice bathroom with a bathtub which was nice. It is a little bit crowded if you have two suitcases and the view from the room is more or less into the brickwall so if you want to wake up to something else you should probably ask for a room towards the street ( which is calm so you do not need to worry for noice from the traffic). Beeing winther and the cosy feel of having the curtains infront of the window the "view" did not bother us much though. The hotel is very calm and you do bearly hear the other guest. However you do easlily hear when the room above you are using water (taking a shower, a bath or toilet). I guess the isolation of the pipes for water is not very well isolated.

The "old world" feel about the place; the freindliness of the staff; location.

Tiny room - ok, it's London but at the prices you are charging? That alone would make me not to recommend friends to stay at this hotel which is shame. Bathroom was so small it was virtually unusable. Plus cracks in the ceiling, plus mould behind the bath sealant

Excellent hotel would recommend and look forward to staying there again. Staff were extremely helpfull and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. Excellent facility's. We would of extended our stay if it wasn't for work commitments had a fantastic stay.

First and foremost the staff. Everyone I interacted with was gracious, helpful and ready to provide ideas and advice when asked. Excellent!! Secondly, the location of the hotel is wonderful.

There is nothing I did not like.

Really beautiful building and very cosy.

The bedroom was very small and I didn't sleep very well due to the bed being against the wall and I felt very claustrophobic and woke up several times hitting my head or legs on the wall. for £250 a night I would have liked to have been able to get out of bed without climbing over my husband.

I loved the location and the staff was quite friendly. The location is really the reason to stay here-- perfect spot, right in the heart of Chelsea.

I found the service to be pretty unprofessional and generally absent-- I carried my own luggage in from the curb and waited 45 minutes for an iced coffee. I would find the lack of professionalism much more tolerable, if the hotel was inexpensive, but there is no reason this hotel should cost what it does. The hotel looks nice at jest glance, but look more closely and you'll b shocked at how shabby it is.

Fantastic staff who really know what quality service is about. The hotel is so good, that we have re-booked.
