Everything! Management Staff Cuisine Décor Ambience
very clean and tidy. Friendly staff.
our room was near the road and was quite noisey
loverly décor, having visited the area for 40 years and stayed in most of the hotels this rates highly for value all round
Excellent service, friendly staff and good food
The hotel is well located, less than a mile from Stow village centre and with some nice walking routes on its doorstep. The bathroom looked very new, well maintained and was very nicely decorated.
1) Small, anonymous bedroom (could have been any hotel, anywhere), felt overpriced. 2) double bed was actually two single matresses put together. 3) Duvet was made up of two single duvets (replaced with a double duvet upon request). 4) Being repeatedly asked if we wanted to make a booking at the hotel's expensive restaurant (felt rather "pushy").
Everything was good. Food was excellent, especially breakfast. Friendly staff. Hotel spotless and very tastefully decorated. Room, although not very large, was warm, cosy and comfortable.
Disappointed I couldn't get wifi in the bedroom. Although this was not a great problem.
Staff Restaurant (evening meal)
Very friendly staff, breakfast was great lots of choice and very good. Rooms average size not over spacious but very comfortable and clean
Cannot say, there was nothing we did not like
Helpful and friendly staff, clean and tidy room, good food, good parking, free Wi-Fi, free toiletries, lovely location.
Single duvet covers (but we could have asked for a double if we'd been that bothered!)
The breakfast was excellent. The communal areas were cosy and inviting. The staff were polite and helpful.
The bedrooms were small and a bit scruffy, there were stains on the carpet and the walls were marked and the toilet flush did not stop running and was awkward to pull. Very overpriced, £160 a night was way over the top, £100 would have been a realistic price, plus we were forced to pay on arriving which was unpleasant.
Great dining room; great location; good beds. Great car park.
No elevator - we had heavy suitcases. Their staff helped however.
Lovely place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location for exploring the Cotswolds.
Off the main road, a short walk from town but not actually in town. Dinner was mediocre at best, and expensive. Breakfast was fine.
Staff very good, wonderful breakfast, cleanliness which is so important was exceptional and the location was perfect. Thank-you very much
Room was smaller than we like , too much game on the restaurant menu
The hotel is in a good location a short distance outside Stow. The food is of a high standard and the rooms are spotless.
The room was quite small considering the price.
Hotel was lovely although just outside of Stow it is within walking distance. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Suite was very spacious, clean, comfortable and contemporary. Restaurant was lovely had a fantastic meal on Friday night. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Reception was efficient & we were taken to our room without delay. Our room, no. 102, was very quiet despite proximity to main road & road junction. Room was spacious, clean with air-conditioning & well equipped. We were given fresh milk for tea-making. Full English breakfast was excellent & well-presented. Enjoyed our short stay.
Completely beyond the control of Number Four at Stow was the lack of a pavement for the 100 yard walk down the busy main road to Hyde Barn - but that's a matter for the local Council !!
From the minute you step through the door you feel like you are home. Compared to other hotels it is very nurturing. Friendly, helpful staff. A great restaurant attached. Location is great for walks and enjoying the beautiful Cotswolds. Fabulous weekend retreat.
I guess my one slight thing was being near a busy road in the morning. However the beds were so comfy it didn't matter.
All staff very friendly and polite room comfortable clean and quite
Could not try the resturant because fully booked both nights we was there . Had two soft drinks in the bar area and they was expensive
Friendly staff, excellent service. Very clean and modern with high quality appearance.
The restaurant, the courtesy of the staff, the common areas of the hotel, the view from our window, the quietness of the locale despite being near a crossroads, the location in the Cotswolds
The smallness of the room, the bathroom facilities and size
Staff were excellent and very helpful. Rooms were spotless and lovely with enough room for a couple. Breakfast was very good and cooked fresh. The bar area was nice to relax with a drink or sit outside in the patio area. The location was great to explore the surrounding towns and villages. I will hopefully be back again.
Everything was fine. No problems at all.
Very relaxing, very clean and great breakfast , in a good place for visiting, free parking
Lacks atmosphere bar closes early so if your a driver and returning from visiting surrounding areas you can't get a drink in the bar and meals a bit pricey
People, place, location, size, cuisine, relaxed atmosphere, staff attentiveness, public seating areas, genuinely helpful reception and it is a non-chain hottel so lots of personal touches. Absolutely one to recommend.
Static showers except in the room for disabled people.
Location Comfy beds Nice restraurant Friendly staff
Proximity to the motorway meant that at times our room was a bit noisy.
Being a young couple, we don't get to go away very often, so this was a treat for us. Both the staff and the hotel really made our break an experience, and we felt that it was money well spent. The service was personal and friendly, food amazing, and most of all the bed was the comfiest we've ever experienced!! Would definitely visit again
