Excellent location, near Hoe and city.On site parking a bonus.Beautiful period building, lovingly maintained.Pristine white bedlinen and towels, spotless ensuite facilities.Very comfortable beds.Good tea/coffee making facilities and very useful small fridge, not just the ubiquitous noisy cooler.Delicious breakfast, cooked to order.Friendly staff and helpful, welcoming owner, for whom nothing was too much trouble. All in all,a comfortable, relaxing place to stay-a home from home,in fact.Would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.Number One-very aptly named!
That my stay was only 3 nights!
So close to everything you could want from the shops, to restaurants and the sea. Large well organised and immaculate room.
View out the back is holiday inn but location and surrounding views easily make up for it.
Service was personal and beyond expectation. Bed was extremely comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, service was excellent. The breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice and very well presented.
Bathroom was rather dated.
The room we were in was very light and airy and plenty of room with a settee, it was lovely to have a bath in a good size bathroom not like some b and bs, where you can touch the wall on either side, staff very pleasant. All in all a lovely stay.
The owner was most helpful and personable when we booked. Everything was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of choice at Breakfast; excellent eggs. I tried fried, poached and scrambled. All were hot and just right, very difficult to achieve. The family and staff were friendly and accommodating.
This is a wonderful house we loved it! Our room was huge with lovely high ceilings, spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, great choices and cooked to perfection. The staff were welcoming and friendly, couldn't ask for more!
Nothing to dislike!
Everyone was very helpful
location excallant close to Plymouth Hoe waterfront shops and barbican
The staff went out of their way to help and made my weekend so enjoyable. I would not hesitate to stay again or reccomend to family and friends.
we arrived late (although e-mailed number one to let them know) 10.00pm no problem. Given key to front door. Bed lovely and comfortable and breakfast smoked salmon!!! what more could u want. Excellent
Not staying there for longer
Friendly and welcoming owners and family. Good car parking spaces.
Seagull noise (!)
The central location for our itinerary, the spacious room and large comfortable bed. Also, it was a beautiful house tastefully decorated. Private car parking was helpful.
Little bit of noise as we had a ground floor bedroom opposite the breakfast room.
I had a good time there. stuff are friendly, comfortable bed and the room was on a good size.
Loved the quiet location and the breakfast was superb. The proximity to the Barbicon was an added bonus with a great choice of pubs and restaurants.
I didn't like that one of the guests hit my rental vehicle with their car and left without leaving details. Thanks very much, you cost me about Aud$2000. Karma to you in bucket loads.
We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Nothing was too much trouble (e.g. needed more teabags; hairdryer, etc. which were immediately popped in to our room with no fuss). Beautifully clean and the bed (superking) was SO COMFORTABLE. Very good, sustaining breakfast served by very helpful staff. We'll definitely come again.
Nothing! Suggestion: fresh fruits as well as grapefruit at breakfast - but this is only a suggestion, not a criticism!!
Good location, short stroll to the Barbican, the shopping centre and The Hoe. Parking at the rear of the B&B. Very pleasant and helpful staff, nice breakfast. Nearby Tesco Express if you have forgotten anything (like we did !). I left two necklaces in our room when we left but Erica very kindly left a note on my car windscreen to let me know, so collected them on our way back to collect our car (much appreciated - thank you). All in all a very pleasant stay, would recommend.
The owners and family were welcoming and the breakfast faultless, worth staying at again.
A lovely house with a friendly family feel to it. Great location for all central facilities in Plymouth. We enjoyed our weekend and would stay again when visiting Plymouth.
We can think of nothing negative to say about this B and B.
