I stayed overnight at number ten with my husband and it was a lovely hotel and we would very much like to stay again in the future. We were given the Scott Suite and its was very comfortable.(although we didn't get the hang of the jacuzzi and how to work it! |

Staff was very kind' rooms are clean and the bath as very nice and comfortable. the ambiance of the hotel was good. Breakfast was moderate( not many choices). there is no lift at the hotel. And you can smell the menu at the restaurant in your room on the 3rd floor. |

Nice large room breakfast very nice close to town without the sounds of a busy city shower did not work well and leaked, bathroom sink was too small to wash in.... No small fridge and i would not class the hotel as five star! |

Excellent breakfast. Chatty, informative, entertaining night porter/barman. Jacuzzi superb. Reception staff were very helpful.Quite location. Not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Poor ventilation in room/bathroom. Large TV with very limited channels to view.Far too expensive for what is in offer. Very poor manual for hotel services in room. Where was spa/gym advertised, located, sister hotel, where! |

Superb room, beautifully furnished, wonderful attentive staff and first-rate breakfasts. I could not fault this hotel in any way and warmly recommend it. Parking is a problem (as everywhere in central Edinburgh), but staff were very helpful in sorting this out. |

The staff were amazing , chatty and courteous and most helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was a treat my mum found the stairs a little arduous, but at least only on 2nd floor ! |

The comfort and design of the room provided the perfect place to unwind at the end of two very busy days. The light and airy rooms (both in the bedroom and the public areas) gave a sense of space throughout. Thoughtfully use of space. Not really a dislike but felt breakfast could have been a little more organised. We had full bowls of cereal infront of us when our cooked breakfast arrived which meant either the hot food got cold or the cereal went soggy. Porrige on menu would have been good |

This is a nice hotel but definitely not 5 star . It is in a good location .. 10 minutes walk to Princes Street . The staff are very helpful and friendly . The vegetarian breakfast was very good . This is a nice hotel but definitely not 5 star . There is no mini bar or fridge in the rooms . Also no face towels , shower caps , moisturiser , bath robes or slippers are provided . Our first room was small by any standard and very noisy . All the doors and stairways creak very loudly . We were moved to a new room when we complained ... the staff member was extremely nice and helpful . |

Very pleasant staff and excellent breakfast. Hotel quircky! No lift but luckily we were given a ground floor bedroom Not 5 star. No fridge in room. Despite asking for king size bed we were allocated a double. The jacuzzi room was amazing - however the additional bathroom was too small. The toilet next to the bed had a glass door! |

The decoration of the hotel and breakfast was amazing. Beyond all, the best thing was the frankly hotel staff. The room was so cold because of the window isolation. Besides, mattresses were uncomfortable. |

We could park right at the front door of the hotel on the street. The rooms were very opulently decorated (very Lawrence Llewllyn Bowenish). Proprietress was very welcoming. Hotel was occupied mainly by young couples, which is fair enough but we would not recommend this hotel to a family with young children. Too sedate. We got the basement suite which, while opulently decorated, was very dark and claustrophobic. Free shower gel etc. only stretched to one bottle. Sign said we could buy extra at reception. We were the only family there with young kids and basically I think kids were out of place there. Atmosphere at breakfast was very reserved and we were afraid to let our kids make a sound. |

A very clean, well presented hotel with courteous, efficient and very helpful staff. Our suite was large, very comfortable and well furnished. I would have no hesitation in staying at the Number Ten again.. |

Its uniqueness, character and situation. Only downside was that room was very small and bathroom/shower also incredibly small with nowhere to hang towels/place soap. |

It was very quiet. I would have liked it better if they could have sorted the problems we had while we were there. |
