I liked the quietness of the hotel, the sense of being at 'home' unlike the atmosphere you get from a large chain. The staff were polite and unobtrusive

Couldnt figure out the jaccazui , and would of been a hasstle to phone down once you were in the bath!! So I would think having intrustions supplied

The Hotel was clean ,tidy and the staff were very friendly and keen and happy to assist in every way. The hotel was a little way back from the main roads which meant it was in a quiet and relaxing locaion. We used the hotel as a base and did not have be reakfast or evening meal as we were out most days but the food looked inviting and appertising when we were about. I would recommend the hotel to another couple although the lack of a lift could put people off as there are five stories to the hotel. My wlfe and I had a loverly enjoyable week in Edinburgh and the hotel was an excellent place to relax in the evening.

The staff was very kind

This was the first time we had stayed at the Nira Caledonia and we found it to be excellent. Our room was a beautiful, stylish suite with all the mod cons, such as a big flat screen tv, nespresso coffee machine, and the bathroom had a fantastic shower and jacuzzi. The location is in a beautiful Georgian terrace, not far from Princes Street but it is still lovely and quiet. Next time we are in Edinburgh we will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful décor, breakfast was very nice and good variety. Staff friendly. Good location. We really enjoyed our stay, would come again, and would recommend it to friends.

Only complaint is the design of the ceiling window on the top floor (room 1012). It rained very heavily all night on our last night and the sound was so loud neither of us could sleep. The design in the roof meant it was magnified and right above the bed.

Location was not too far from the main shopping street. Nice decor and staff.

Price of breakfast! Continental breakfast is outrageous. The options for continental breakfast was tiny!

The decor was perfect and the staff were excellent, hotel was in an excellent location.

The room was on the small side, next time I would book a suite.

Great situation and refurbishmment looks great

The room is too small, no where to sit apart from a bed that is too high off the ground and too short I'm only 6 foot tall and it was far too short. The shower in the bathroom was only suitable for you if you were under 5 foot 6 inches

I enjoyed every part of my stay at the Nira Caledonia. The staff were all supremely friendly, attentive and catered to our every need. The setting was gorgeous and our room was sublime, everything there designed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I will be staying there each time I am in Edinburgh for sure.

There was absolutely nothing I could mark Nira Caledonia down on. The location, the design, the furnishings and most importantly the staff were all amazing.

The staff were so polite and friendly, nothing was a problem for them. I loved the luxury feel of the room too.

We have stayed there many times, very accommodating and good location and price.

It has now changed, we have always had a full English breakfast included in the price, this time it was not the case, not even Continental breakfast was included, this was a shame and may stop us staying again.
