The wedding party bus dumping gallons of diesel in the front of the hotel and across to the car park The wedding guests shouting and running up and down the corridor between 00:15 to 01:30 The mean little fire in the wonderful fireplace. Its a big fire place so it should have a big fire.

We had a really relaxed comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings. The view from the cloisters restaurant is fabulous.

My Only complaint was a member of staff entered our room while we were at dinner. Quite why I dont know but didnt like this. They closed the windows and blinds only for me to open them up again as it got very hot in our room with the windows shut.

Minor points Hotel has a lot of weddings/conferences with noisy, drinking guests. No doubt good for business but never good for remaining guests! We chose to stay on a Thur night, hoping there wouldnt be a wedding. There was;.and the associated noise.... Rooms facing car-park are subject to noise and guests should be informed. No fridge/minibar in room The hotel wasnt busy during our stay - the service could be slow at breakfast (all cooked breakfasts are individually prepared) if the dining rooms are busy

Staff were sullen at best when checking in and at breakfast. Room very basic for price of £179.00 no extras, with just two basic armchair around an occasional table no sofa! Hotel quite shabby for the price. Bed was not turned down properly pillows still a squashed mess from when we used them that afternoon and book not removed from bed hidden just under duvet on top. Towels not put back on rail in bathroom just left as we left them after shower. Cups and glasses not cleared just left! Not told we would be charged for newspaper did not make this clear! Checking out time is 11:00am, ridiculous as checking in time is 3:00pm!!! No fridge or mini bar in room. Service very sullen for handpicked hotel, what was hand picked about could not discern from my stay very disappointed indeed. Cooked breakfast took approximately 40mins to arrive!! Reprimanded for staying out longer than 12:00am as we went out and came back about 12:30pm doors locked due to security reason, desk clerk showed that he was put upon when we asked him to show us an alternative route to our room. Will not be going again rubbish service, not what I expected at all from the price, just glad we didn't eat there.

Location and building are superb ideal for an 'upclass english holiday' danger: you might not want to leave the hotel whole day ;-) Zeer goede ligging en verzorgd, geeft echt het 'English' gevoel, prachtig gebouw en kamers. attenvolle bediening en zeer lekker eten / very fine food !!

- No fridge on room / geen ijskastje in de kamer is jammer (but one can give things to reception) - the Spa is not in the building is more like a normal public fitness / sports center : does not directly gives the 'personal touch of a classy hotel' spa is gebouw verder en geeft meer 't gevoel gewoon de lokale sportsclub te zijn

The staff were very friendly and I was very pleased with that. Also, the hotel was lovely. However, I feel that the room was way overpriced for what we got. We were very disappointed with the spa. It was very small and overcrowded. We had expected it to be a bit nicer that it was given the fact that it is a "Hotel & spa" The sauna and steam bath were very small and overcrowded with very loud people making it absolutely impossible to relax. Furthermore, the jacuzzi tub was also overcrowded and there were kids in the jacuzzi after 6pm. When the signs in the sauna specifically state adult swim only after 6p.M. We did not even get the chance to get in the jacuzzi tub as the same people (with kids) were in it for nearly an hour. Needless to say, we did not enjoy the spa one bit and this was very disappointing! However, the lady at the front desk was very nice. In regard to the breakfast, we were pleased to have the breakfast in our room and although the selection was good, none of the food seemed fresh. I did not particularly enjoy the breakfast. Overall, our stay was pretty unsatisfactory. We will not be visiting this hotel again nor recommending it to any friends.

The Priory was lovely with nice grounds and the view from the hotel was spectacular.The Breakfast was very good with good service and pleasant staff.

Our Room was a distance from the main area going down corridor's stairs etc. Our Room was number 46 and we were able to enter the door at the front to make an easier walk to our room. We did ask if this door was open all night and the receptionist said it would be as we knew we would be late returning. When we did return the door was locked so the night porter had to take us to our room. The room was very small and I found it most difficult to do my hair when the nearest electrical switch was under the TV and nowhere near a mirror.

As a solo traveller I was made welcome by attentive staff. Was told I could be accompanied to my room for safety if I felt that it was required. Although there was a wedding on the Saturday I was unaware of any noise. A lovely relaxed stay!

Having to wait over an hour to check in. Dining was very expensive especially wine and spirits. We have tasted much better food in similar hotels.

Close to redhill but not in the earshot traffic.

Restaurant.nice staff .but oh dear. The food poor value and you leave hungry! Very poot value
