I stayed in the Beach room as a single guest and it was gorgeous! Huge room with a double bed and impeccably clean. The furnishings are simple but they made the room feel very relaxing and serene. The owners are friendly and attentive and the breakfast was delicious! All B&Bs should aspire to this standard. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area. LOVED it!
Two small, insignificant negatives: there was no DVD player in my room (even though my booking confo said there would be), and the 'ensuite' is actually next door to the room rather than a connecting door (I didn't find this a problem as my room was in a hidden alcove and they provide a bathrobe, but some guests may have an issue with it).
Loved the house, and the staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Would love to stay there again. Breakfast in the conservatory was amazing. It added a special feel that many B&Bs don't share. Loved it!!!!
The helpfulness of the owners towards us. The cleanliness of everything. The spaciousness of the place, except the toilet/washing area. The breakfast fruit layout was exceptional and very varied. The main breakfast was well presented and cooked. The bed was very comfortable.
The lengthy stairs! However we were given help in getting our case up, as we would have found it very difficult indeed to get it up ourselves. The toilet/washing facility was too small really but was also outside of the room and one was very aware that other guests could have spotted us to-ing and frow-ing from it! We did have the sound of dripping water at times (during the night); perhaps something to do with the hot water system.
Personal, relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are decorated really well and to a high standard. The building is light and open. The family that run this BnB are professional and really friendly. It was a home from home. I had a sea view and all I needed to make my stay one I would definitely repeat.
The bedroom was very light and spacious, and bed comfortable. The food at breakfast and lunch was excellent. The house itself felt as welcoming as the hosts.
Although the guest house and residents were quiet, the road noise could cause some disturbance on a warm night when the windows had to be open overnight. The TV was modest and had to be returned to access all freebies programs.
this is a very comfortable guest house and we had a brilliant couple of days stay, very friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast highly rated. spaces for car parking.
the breakfast was really lovely and very well cooked,.best breakfast i have had
Nice people , nice place
As they knew I was arriving early doors , would have been nice to asked if I would like a place for Lunch. Seems the food could be good , but they were full and no space for me as a guest
Loved everything ... A perfect base and smashing host !
Nothing to not like
friendly, family run business with lovely decor, spacious and airy rooms clean, comfy beds and good breakfast
Rooms Breakfast Staff Location
Quiet location Huge bedroom (Beach room) Fantastic breakfast with large selection
Quiet and friendly, very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
Very friendly helpful staff and owners. They were proud of the Hotel and rightly so.
The breakfast was great. A good selection of fruit and cereal and also a cooked breakfast to suit what you need. The room was very clean and tidy. With a lovely view of the sea. Excellent location away from the town noise.
One small thing the TV could of been a bit bigger. You could hear the road slightly but not an issue.
This is a very lovely place to stay, with clean and bright spacious rooms and an exelent quality breakfast. Its close enough to walk into town along the beach. I had a lovely welcome and they went out of their way to make sure I was catered for. I will certainly be returning here.
There was nothing I didn't like about my stay.
Amazing hospitality and super staff. Would defiantly recommend
Beautiful place to stay! Breakfast was fabulous!
Beautifully furnished room. Comfortable bed. Excellent and generous breakfast. Easy parking, and well located.
Very close to the golf course. Away from the hustle of the town centre. Views of the beach and sea. Well appointed bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast served in a spacious conservatory overlooking the garden. Excellent breakfast. Off street parking.
Single glazing means that there is a degree of road noise. This is not a problem at night though.
It is a small hotel but clean and tidy. The stuff are efficient and attentive and make you feel welcoming. Food are excellent and that's the main reason we choose to go back. We did not expect such a small hotel could come up with such good food.
The room is a bit cold when the heating was off in the middle of the night, obviously the duvet was too lightweight. The hot water was not consistent.
an excellent find very welcoming and very comfortable, great breakfast
The purpose of our stay was an overnight stay to break up the long journey to a holiday in south cornwall. We booked the room with a sea view , you could just about view the sea through other buildings trees etc,not a very accurate statement. Room on road side which is very noisy through the night as well with disturbed sleep. The hotel offers dinning facilities which we asked about on our arrival mid afternoon only to find fully booked and had to leave hotel to eat. No mention of having to book dining early on booking and as hotel guests I expected to be able to dine. The resturant was empty on our arrival.Once we left hotel to find somewhere to eat on our arrival back at the hotel all the resturant diners had taken up all the parking so on our return there was no where to park, hotel is on main road with double yellow lines down side roads so after parking in front of the door to unload luggage we were eventually found a parking area blocking in the owner overnight. Cleanliness could be improved, random brands of leftover half used shower gels and shampoos on offer in bathroom should be a definite no no. I would not recommend to family and friends or wish to stay again. Not value for money as there most expensive room @£100 per night for 2, breakfast was okay though.
