Very Good food, friendly staff. Location was excellent for us. Went to Wedding it was right in between Church & Wedding Venue.
Would have liked a Shower, only had a bath with mixer taps not very good.
Rooms were clean. The food was nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again.
friendly staff Convenient location
6pm earliest check in
The food was very good and the staff were all very pleasant and welcoming.
Good location. Nice bar. Friendly staff. Good breakfast
Traffic noise and early morning call from rooster!! Grubby tiles in bathroom.
Food, friendly staff
No shower cubicle
perfectly acceptable room for the money includes breakfast where other its room only price
bed was too hard for me. Toilet sit in dinning room moved when I sat down scary.
Staff very friendly. Food very well presented. The Happy Hour!
Rooms could do with a make-over. Bathrooms although clean also in need of some refurbishment.
The beer garden was lovely - happy hour was enjoyed by many clients - staff were excellent and the breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful - top marks to the lady on duty - she is worth her weight in gold! Would like to see more choices for the main meals - thank you!
Nothing to complain about
Great food, great beer friendly staff and great location!
Great food but could do with a bit more variety!
Friendly staff Value for money! Good Breakfast
WiFi didn't work in rooms after 12am
The Food was really good
A lack of atmosphere, and at no point did we see the management team
Reasonable choice of breakfast. Use of garden during daytime. Friendly owners. Friendly staff.
Staff cleaning bar floor with disinfectant water during breakfast time. Plaster falling from shower wall in Room 4. Loose shower fittings. Loose window fittings. Eggs fried sunny side down so hard yokes.
Excellent breakfast and wonderful lady who makes it. Nice clean usable rooms Helpful staff
Poor bar service in evening was snubbed for service in favour of locals . Bit noisy in room sometimes as room on main road
Convenient for our visit to The Oak Lobster Fest dining event. Nice country inn. Large, airy bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast very good quality. Would visit again but ask for a larger room (if available)
Small room with windows which did not open. It was a heatwave so glad we brought our own electric fan. No bread & butter plate or knife for breakfast - toast piled on top of the breakfast plate. Small points but a bit niggling.
Location was good fro passing through and access to other towns It is a clean and acceptable "stop over" - if using for a business trip etc.
The bathroom in our room was inserious need of repair to the walls and althoug there were no issues with the cleanliness - it did not appeal to use the bath. On arrival into the bfeakfast room - we were hit with the overpowering smell of cleaning chemicals! Due to there being a low volume of staff ..floors has just been mopped in between serving breakfasts - and the smell of the cleaning chemicals was so strong whilst we were trying to eat - it made us feel sick and we needed to vacate the room quicker than we would have normally chosen. There is a need for more staff during the mornings and check out times.
Comfortable bed, large bathroom, good free parking
Very noisy from the road and from residents in other rooms. Limited cold breakfast selection ; little fresh fruit, no yoghurt, no marmalade. Stairs rather steep.
Very pleasant staff. Very good dinner menu and obviously popular. Very good value for money, especially in this area.
We would have liked a side plate for toast at breakfast, also marmalade.
convenient position. Food was very good and room was quite adequate for a short stay.
Room was close to main road and very noisy. So much so that windows had to be kept closed on a very warm and humid night. Rooms need better maintenance - chipped paintwork, mould stains round bath etc.
friendliness welcome food location cleanliness peace
Excellent food Friendly staff Country surroundings Comfortable room with good facilities
The choice of meals was fantastic. A great breakfast. The blond mangeress was excellent and so was Anglea in the mornings
The mattress was very uncomfortable. The toilet seat kept slipping. With a loud bang..which often caused a fright
I ordered a double room instead of a twin room but the staff were able to provide a fold up bed without any hassle.
real old time value for money.Room and food excellent
Staff very friendly, facilities were adequate, car park was huge, easy access to large beer garden, didn't eat there but seemed to be popular with a good selection of choices on the menu.
Booked through booking.com for price inc breakfast, but was asked to pay extra for it when we arrived. Double checked paperwork that evening and complained the next morning but the lady we paid said she was only the cleaner and the owner was out. Bed was hardest I've ever slept in with no cover between sheets and mattress itself. Room 2 at the back overlooked chickens, geese etc which was charming until the Dawn Chorus at 5.15am and a cockerall that crowed every five minutes. Curtains were paper thin so difficult to sleep with light/noise going on. Didn't expect any frills for price paid, which was good value (with or without breakfast) but a good night's sleep would have been appreciated.
