An excellent bed and breakfast, the whole house looked newly fitted and decorated to a very high standard, very clean - lovely welcoming staff, very helpful and a very good breakfast - 5 star!! I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast and would be more than happy to stay there again if we're ever in the area.

We liked the staff, they welcomed us and seemed to enjoy what they did. We was late coming down for breakfast (10 mins) and they did not grumble at all Breakfast was cooked to perfection but was a little small Liked that they tucked our handcuffs under the pillow after making the bed, very discreet ha ha Breakfast was a little small Parking is very tight, could they remove lh wall ?

The place was very nice in deed As there was no one there to greet us ,that was fine as it was explained before hand. But we felt that it was funny as no one greeted us at a later time and we could have been anyone .

It only had 6 bedrooms so the service we had was very good the room was clean and comfortable and couldn't fault the tea and coffee making facilities in the room, the bathroom was lovely and modern and the breakfast choices were plenty it was only a 10 minute walk to the pier would definately stay there again

We had a great stay at the Oakover guest house, would recommend it to family and friends. It is in a good position not far from the sea front and a short stroll to the main shops and resturants, real home from home.

Phone calls showing interest in the clients,friendly welcome, lovely location, cleanliness of the room and the small touches around the room(chocolates, bottled water, drinking glasses, ease to read guide) nothing in the room seemed to be any bother to meet the visitors need. The dinning room was so comfortable clean and tidy, it was like being at home. The food was served as well has it tasted wonderful. Holiday to short.

Good service. Spotlessly clean room. All the little extra's - water in room, glasses in covers, flannells, bathroom accessories - all make a difference. Umberella in wardrobe, nice touch. Good breakfast. Close to beach and shops. Only criticism is that we felt uneasy walking around at night due to the location of the arbd homes, next door and around the corner. Distressed shouting on the Sunday night from next door was a little concerning.

From the moment I booked the hotel, I felt confident I had made a good choice. When we arrived, Diane was friendly and very welcoming, the room was spotless, warm, very comfortable and we felt safe. Despite the rooms being close, it was quiet and we had a very good nights sleep. The breakfast was spot on, the dining room was welcoming and the staff were faultless. I would truly recommend the Oakover Guest House to couples, its only a 5 minute walk from the town and its like staying in a home away from home.

We enjoyed the experience of a well cared for b&b everything was as you would expect ina 4 star hotel, overall we did have agood time and the staff were great. Our only concern was at this time of year feb the room we had was very cold and not as you would expect at home. (Warm) the Heating did not come on in the morning until approx 5am and a t night approx 4.30pm if you stayed in the hotel all day it would be cold in the room, we had room No1 but overall we did have agood time and the staff were great

Nice tidy hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was nice with a varied menu. Only downside breakfast a bit early finish but not a criticism. Car park a bit small and access narrow.
