The staff were so friendly, I couldn't have asked for more, they gave me extra towels for friends who were joining me in the room to get ready, they found me a radio/CD player and they also got me a lamp. I got the single room on a great deal and couldn't have asked for more. I felt safe, it was quiet, the room was perfect for just me (TV could have music and a few more channels as an additional bonus). The gardens were south facing so had the sun shine all afternoon. Great stay would definitely recommend if looking for somewhere to rest your head for an evening. Buffet breakfast was fab too - although no croissants or other pastries.

I was asked to pay for my room on arrival which should have given me a clue as to the clientel, this was confirmed later by the muddy boot prints up the stairs and along the corridor and the dozen or so double glazing vans in the car park the following morning. The hotel is tired and in need of modernisation especially the bathroom I had. On the plus side, the carvery was excellent £5.00 for two courses!

The staff were very welcoming and the facilities were a lovely setting for my friend's wedding. My room was a lovely size for someone travelling alone. It was comfortable and had good tea/coffee facilities. My only dislike was that the bathroom did not smell nice. I think the fan wasn't working. It was quite unpleasant but being on my own I didn't feel confident enough to report it and I was only staying the night. It's a shame as that was the only thing that spoilt it for me.

Friendly receptionist. Free Parking The worlds most uncomfortable bed. Thinnest Pillows imaginable. Creaky floorboards, faulty shower. Mouldy, draughty windows, condensation horrendous. Place stunk of stale food. Towels raggy and old. Tatty, dated furniture

We had a flat screen television in the lounge that did not work in fact had no aerial! And a flat screen tv in the bedroom which also did not work and a bedside clock radio and the sound didnt work, however the actual lodge was very nice, just a bit of a shame as it could have been perfect.

The staff where very friendly although the girl on reception was very distracted and seemed possibly over worked. When told about the broken shower she simply said they had no engineer on site and we had to wait till Monday, not much use when you are staying one night on a Saturday. Our shower did not work and the room stank of the kitchen that meant all our clothing smelt and had to washed when we got home. I would not recommend this hotel at all. For sure never stay in the rooms above the kitchen. Awful.

Staff were excellent , very accommodating, most helpful throughout from domestic to reception / Staff were excellent , very accommodating, however the room had 20 cms x2 above window and open plaster repair to the wall. Lightbulbs were not working, shabby room all in all mould in bathroom, if it wasn't for the most delightful staff I would not have stayed and I organised 4 rooms for that weekendnfor family. A tad disappointing. We requested afternoon tea/ light snack, but due to two wedding booked, I was told that this wasn't available, very poor

Staff were very welcoming and helpful, room was nice and very clean. Good value for money, would stay again for convenience although not the best. Decor was a bit dated. Breakfast was not great, very busy and disorganised and food not of high standard. Good value for money though, would stay again for convenience rather than pleasure.

We had very nice stay. The rooms were very spacious and clean. I liked the antic furniture. The breakfast was extremely good. We had our meal outside on the nice sunny terrace for it was beautiful October morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. Generally without picking up little things which you can find everywhere we liked the hotel and would recommend it to our friends when they visit Norwich.

The breakfast meal was very good as was the carvery meal we had in the restaurant in the evening. Priced at £3.50 for a main course, £5.00 for two courses or £7.50 for three courses was excellent value. The room was very clean as was the bathroom and the room was cleaned every day. It was great to come back to a nice clean bathroom and room each evening. The WiFi internet did not work at all for the three days that we were there. Each time I spoke to a (different) member of staff they said "it is a temporary problem and will be fixed later today". But unfortuantely this appeared to be an ongoing problem. I was not able to access my work emails and this was did cause me some unnecessary stress. The reception staff were not as friendly as I feel they should have been for the position they hold. Being the first members of staff the public see as they come into the hotel the staff should make the customer feel welcome and important. But I felt the staff were Inconvenienced by us, the customers. They need to learn to smile and look happy in their work and look as if they actually enjoy their work.
