We had a day at legoland and a morning at Windsor Castle. We ate out in Windsor both nights and enjoyed the restaurants we visited. There was plenty of choice. We could have had another couple of days and explored more.

Everything was close to the property, eateries ,shops, lots of walking if you enjoy walking, coffee shops, the Long Walk, Eton and walking along the river Thames. Also good bus connections to Legoland outside the Castle. Can’t say there was anything we didn’t like.

Windsor is such a lovely town.
Windsor is such a lovely town. Even though it seems crowned with tourists during day time but evening and dinner time was quite calm up. We went in Febuary so the sun set so fast people tend to stay in the hotel. we had Nando's chicken which is really good. The Macdonal hotel we were staying located in great location, nice staff, and nice accomodation.
There are many more places to visit not just the Windsor Castle. This town has many more to offer. If you love historical but with city vibes. Windsor is a good choice.

There is nothing to dislike about Windsor.
There is nothing to dislike about Windsor. It is packed full of history including not only the castle but also The Long Walk, Windsor Great Park, the shortest street in England and centuries old pubs.
There are an array of good eateries and plenty of shops.

One downside is the expense of parking.

Our visit was primarily to see the castle and we were not disappointed what an incredible castle it is! We loved the tour, the history and the exquisite state rooms. Windsor has everything you need with different areas of the town offering slightly different shopping or dining experiences. Just over the river there are lovely little shops and cafés. We went to Fuzzy Bear for the Saturday night comedy which was a good night, if not a little loud!! The town is incredibly clean and felt very safe. We were blessed with lovely bright, sunny weather, although cold and crisp and loved walking around the streets with the castle in view, no matter where you were, we would definitely go again.
Quiet area with a lovely big back garden. Excellent value for money. We brought our children to visit Lapland UK and this house is conveniently located around 15 minutes drive away. Comfortable, clean and fully equipped. Host was very helpful and it’s been a lovely private stay, just let ourselves in with the key code and we’re now preparing to leave. We would usually stay in a hotel but we found this option not only cheaper but so much better for our family having a full house and a large garden. We would 100% visit again! Xx
Spacious, immaculate, everything had been thought about and was provided. Big kitchen area with modern appliances and all very clean. Lovely bedrooms. Comfortable. 10 mins walk into town and to castle, to the river or parks. Loved being close to places to eat. We were a family visiting Windsor Castle for an event and this worked out cheaper than separate hotel rooms and much more comfortable for my older parents to relax in. Downstairs loo and bedroom worked for us.
Concierge Matthew was very helpful and friendly. He’s a credit to the hotel.
I’d definitely stay again. We came to visit the castle which was just over the road so location excellent. We dropped our bags off prior to check in time so we didn’t have to take them around Windsor Castle. Room not noisy even with planes overhead. My favourite Elemis toiletries in room, lovely fluffy and clean white towels. Huge walk in shower.
The Sir Christopher Wren Hotel sits at the intersection of Windsor and Eton at the Windsor Bridge, both very nice, quaint towns, seemingly safe on my visits. Both towns have varied dining establishments and shops, no shortage of things to do. We stay here the night before our flights out of Heathrow as it is very convenient to the airport.
Charming little hotel close to the Long Walk. Bus Stop to /from London ( bus 702 ) is 5 min walking away, and Windsor Castle 8-10 min walking distance. All the staff was lovely and helpfull. Good breakfast cooked to order. Nice, clean and comfortable room. The lobby, bar and restaurant area are spacious and bright.
Wanted somewhere to stay in Windsor with a friend and our 5 year olds - didn’t want to be split up in hotel rooms. Flat was perfect for the kids to spend time together and a great location for Legoland and Windsor Castle. Really clean and quiet. Host was very responsive to messages. We had a lovely break.
what a delightful find! For once we decided to skip staying in London after a holiday in France and decided to see what Windsor and Eton were like. so glad we did. The Christopher Hotel is charming, as is the staff. We plan to make it a part of our travel routine from now on.
The reception guy was so so helpful and attentive to all are needs he really was a credit to his hotel well done the hotel is situated on Eton high street a stones thro away from the castle beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and really value for money
Typical chain hotel, met our needs for an overnight stay before early morning flight from Heathrow. Parking was plenty and reasonably priced for the area. Food offered in bar/diner was fine, lovely serving staff though, a credit to the hotel.
Fantastic location if you are visiting Windsor Castle. This is not a chain hotel, this is a gorgeous, charming B&B style "house" that is modern yet comfy. Husband and wife hosts very welcoming and nice. I would absolutely stay here again
Our rooms were in the main building, they were spacious and very cute. Unfortunately, the hotel had some renovations going on so the view was blocked. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel in Windsor.
The decor and comfortable furniture and bed. Rooms were spacious. Well stocked kitchen to accommodate all your cooking needs. Proximity to Windsor Castle and local shops and restaurants!
The hotel is in a great location with plenty of food and drink options. Right next to the Windsor Bridge. The staff were helpful and friendly. The shower worked fine. The bed was okay.
