Excellent riverside location; hotel facilities very impressive. Too many stairs! Also, distance from room to Reception and car parks. Breakfast ruined by number of small children 'running around' in dining room; suggest provision of a dining area exclusively for families, otherwise your reputation as a luxury and business hotel will suffer.

Location & great staff -really helpful and friendly - great antidote to Christmas day with wifes family! Breakfast was a bit second-hand but I expect boxing day morning staff were the same. Pay someone to fry the eggs in the dining room as at the Grand in Brighton.

The stay was arranged as a treat for my 65th birthday by my sister and as the staff knew of this they made the two days very special with several nice touches to celebrate my birthday. The room we had was beautiful with a lovely view of the river and this added to the pleasureable say we experienced.

The room, the building, the spa, the atmosphere, the location, the garden One member of the staff, the female maître d'hôtel in the dining restaurant was quite rude, not representing this fine nice hotel. The gourmet restaurant is a typical English restaurant, no fine tasted food, no value for money. In the rest of Europe, this wouldn't be called a gourmet restaurant.

Enjoyed everything, great setting, facilities and staff. Open curtains in the morning and overlooking beautiful gardens backing onto the Thames with rowers sculling by, 9 hole golf to front of hotel and only £8 cab ride into Windsor (where it's almost impossible to park). Great stay for our anniversary and we're going back!!!! Have already recommended Oakley Court to friends & family. None really. Our bathroom extract fan seemed to run continuosly and we only had one towel between two of us.

There was not much really going for this place except the external appearance which was historic and grande, however it was ruined by the ugly out of character extensions on either side of the beautiful house. It was set in a pretty location and good for photo opportunities. The hotel was not value for money, definately not a 4 X hotel, this trip was for a family getaway and to see our friends wedding, however when we arrived the receptionist was a bit cool un receptive and basically down right rude at times. My mother has been extremely ill and I explained I needed a light, clean and airy room with a view, they put us in the west wing, ground floor where the rooms were damp and musty and extremely dark. I complained and said that I have paid alot of money for these rooms to give my mother a treat and I am sadly disappointed with what we were received with when I specifically asked upon booking for bright and airy rooms with views. The manager was helpful and understood but however could not get us moved until the next day, which meant not being able to unpack and then waited around half the next day until the rooms were vacant. The rooms were basic not what the photos indicated, and certainly not what I was expecting. It was far too expensive for what you got. I was looking so forward to staying in a 4x hotel, needless to say I will not return in the near future.

The hotel is a beautiful building set in very picturesque and well maintained grounds. The staff are all very attentive and the service was excellent. My husband and I dined in the restaurant on the Sunday evening which was indeed a wonderful experience, the 3 course meal at £29.95 per head was worth every penny and more. We stayed in the West Wing and had a lovely view of the river and the hotel. The room was very well sized and clean but there was a very musty smell, a bit like an old peoples home.

The location was lovely , Staff very friendly and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable break. Did not think that the bed was very comfortable. And im not sure if on line when you book will it tell you if you are going to get double bed or two singles once you have booked the room.

The grounds are exceptional and if you don't fancy any of the sports on offer, you can walk around the grounds and sit on the banks of the River Thames with a picnic that they will supply for you. Without a car, it's a bit far out if you don't like walking miles. No bus route so it's taxis if you don't have your own transport, but the countryside is so pretty, it's a pleasure to walk if the weather's fine.

Friendly empowered staff - eg we immediately got an upgrade to a suite simply because we mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary. The building is lovely and the main part of the hotel retains that delightful old-fashioned feel with decent old furniture and a leisurely, stylish bar service. The rooms had a good view of the garden and the river. Dinner was good - a limited choice but everything was well prepared and of good quality. There was not enough room in the restaurant for all guests wanting breakfast to have it (we arrived at about 9.15) so people had to wait in the bar area with a coffee until there was a table available. On getting into the restaurant the breakfast was very average. The sports/gym facility was very limited, especially the pool which was too small to swim in properly and the area wasn't large enough to sit and relax

The location is fantastic. It can be a bit of a walk to get to your room, which is not good if you are elderly or carrying heavy cases. Also, there is no lift which again is not good if you have difficulty with stairs!

Grounds were beautiful with lovely view of the river This hotel does not have a 'lift' which I did not see mentioned in it's description. Very difficult taking luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Beds were not ver comfortable and air conditioning did not work

The gardens, the river and the building. The facilities were dirty and needed a good clean. The steam room & jaccuzi were particulary filthy.

Had a pleasant stay there last September - wanted to take some friends to experience it - especially the wonderful location. Very limited Table d'Hote evening menu, with goats cheese offered as a starter and main course. Breakfast service - lots of staff but all chatting rather than serving. Had to ask them for tea/coffee after a long wait and were not informed of ordering system.

Lovely grounds and building. Our room was a junior suite and very spacious. Room was kept far too hot but didn't have its own thermostat to control the heating so you end up having to have the air con as well as the heating.

I went to Oakley Court with my fiance. We were really pleased with our room (224) which was spacious and comfortable - the bed was huge! Breakfast was a very tasty buffet affair. We were shown to our table and offered tea/coffee. Dirty plates were swiftly taken away and teas and coffees topped up as wanted. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant so I can't comment about that. Although the hotel had wireless internet access the charge was extortionate - £15 for 24 hours. I really think that with a 'luxury' hotel internet access should be free of charge, or at least at a more reasonable rate. The 'cosy dressing gowns' which were provided in our room were hard and not at all cosy, so we didn't use them.
