my husband and I stayed here beginning of Nov and the location is beautiful being right on the Thames and seeing it with the sun shining. The room was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. Would go back The windows in our room were very very dirty, one half you could not see through,on leaving I did mention this at reception who was going to pass it on, but it did not spoil our stay and was not worth making a issue of. |

Excellent service with local staff. Free 9 hole golf pitch/putt. Made to feel special. Great breakfast service. Extractor fan in bathroom not working. 2 large chips in the enamel bath - would expect this in a 1 or 2 star hotel - not 4 star!!! |

Staff were very efficient. Breakfast was very good. Concierge were very good. The Hotel rooms were very hot - they could not turn down the heating temperature. The furnishings and carpet in the room were very tired. Corridor carpet was down to the backing in places. |

Riverside location with opportunity to walk in a peaceful environment. Original Victorian mansion main building. Staff generally very efficient and attentive. Excellent grounds Poor quality coffee. Could be lack of staff training. At £3.95 in lounge expect perfect brew. Breakfast coffee had little flavour. Self-serve breakfast choice good but cooked items invariable only warm. Mesal cold by the time you return to table. No warmed plates. Suggest senior manager samples items unannounced to check quality. Being in our seventies would expect automatic offer to help with taking luggage to room as no lift and very long corridors with several steps. |

Our roon 105 had a fantastic view of the fountain, grounds and river. The staff were extreamly helpful and the overall feel of the hotel was very grand without being intimidating. A very relaxing location and would definately return. |

Liked quiet location of gothic hotel in own park, restaurant food and staff excellant, plenty lounge areas to relax. Executive bathroom badly in need of re-furbishment, reception and general public areas in need of new carpet, painting and welcoming reception area and receptionists. |

The location and setting was perfect. The staff were attentive. The evening meal and service was first class. Breakfast excellent choice of food beautifully laid out - however most of the hot food was cold, very disappointing. |

Staff were excellent and the food was lovely. Very nice surroundings. There is no lift so as a disabled person i had to walk around the outside of the building to get to my room ( Luckily it did not rain so it was a pleasant walk) |

The location beside the Thames. It made a beautiful setting for a wedding. Staff were not as friendly as they could have been. |

The overall efficiency and friendliness of the staff, coupled with the excellent amenities. Unfortunately our stay was for one night only as we were attending a wedding. The delay on checking out. There was along queue. One or two minor maintenance problems in our room - wardrobe door handles needed tightening, shower flooding bathroom floor. |

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and we took out one of the hotel boats for an hours cruise down the Thames just my husband & I and with the sun shining on us it was gorgeous. Breakfast was good, a buffet with a proper full English, fruit, cereals, pastries etc. We stayed in the West Wing which was an extension of the main hotel which didn't have a lot of thought go into the design. From the outisde it looked like a prison covered in climbers and our room, albeit nice and big wasin serious need of modernisation and redecoration. |
