The location of the hotel was excellent as it was at the top end of Windermere and was very close to all the shops and bars. The hotel's decor needs updating and the room we stayed in needed airing. |

Location Bath had one of those pipes you push onto the taps to act as a shower, with no shower curtain. Decor was very dated, and the bed was approx 6 foot long- fine if you're a lot shorter than this. Funny stale smell in the room. |

decor needed updating and a shower would have been nice instead of just a bath. |

Owners are very involved and helpful. Gourmet chef is professionally trained in Switzerland and Sweden. Food exceptional. HIstorical Building and town. Rooms are not fancy but are certainly clean, comfortable and adequate. |

Friendly and welcoming staff. Good breakfast. slow service during breakfast, buffet may be better. More shower rooms or ensuites would be ideal.More choice on TV channels. |

The bed was very comfortable, the breakfasts were very good and there was plenty of hot water. Location was good in the centre of the town (Windermere) and the lady who served breakfast was very pleasant. The car park was certainly a plus point. As soon as we entered we saw that the reception floor was dirty and this was confirmed in our room. The bathroom carpet looked filthy and the window would not shut (plants from outside were growing into the room, so this is clearly a long term problem). There were cobwebs in the main bedroom and the sash window would only stay open with a piece of wood to wedge it. The wood work particularly was in deperate need of painting and there was thick dust on the ledges in the dining room. All of the areas we saw needed decorating. We went for a drink in the bar, but had to wait until the 'locals' were served, even though we were ahead of them in the queue. If there is a lounge area for hotel guests, we were not told and did not find it. |

The bed was comfy and it was a central location. Breakfast was enjoyable and I did like that it wasn't too early. The pictures shown of the rooms were nothing like the room we got. The furniture was in need of updating and the bathroom was the worst I have ever used. No shelf for your toiletries, you had to use the windowsill which was behind the toilet, tried to stand things on the sink but because it wasn't level things fell into the sink, no towel hooks and the carpet was in need for replacing. The pictures of the rooms are misleading. They should specify which rooms are shown on the wbsite. |

Food in the guest house was excellent having enjoyed both breakfast and a meal. The bed was very comfortable. The room which we stayed in was a little dated. The floor covering in the bathroom was carpet which we found somewhat un-hygienic. |

Not a lot, the only positive comment I can make is that the location in Windermere is good. Nothing like description - room was tired and dated and not like the photos. Poor choice at breakfast for those that do not like cooked breakfast. I asked for stewed fruit and got tinned prunes! Staff less than friendly and did not feel welcome at all. |

The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was extremely clean and it was located in a ideal place to go look around. The toilet was seperate to the room and had to be shared. |

I chose the hotel because it was close to the railway station. It was very relaxed and comfortable allthough could do with a little updating. I would probably stay there again when visiting Windermere. |
