Lovely clean and spacious bedroom and bathroom, fantastic food and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Everyone at the hotel made our stay for my Husband's 50th birthday extra special.

this was our first visit to the lamplighter we were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we arrived with our 2 cavalier dogs who were made a big fuss of we also were asked if we wanted to eat in a separate room so the dogs could be with us which we declined as they are more than happy to stay in their sleeping crate .the breakfast was superb as were the meals in the restaurant at night initially we were only going to eat in there one night but it was so good we ate every night of our stay .We will be back!!

The heating was not operational in the room during the evening when required but was during the early hours of the morning when it was too hot. Also an arm chair in the room would have been useful

Pleasant bar, excellent food, good service and pleasant, helpful staff. I would recommend it.

The staff could not do enough for me and my partner, we were able to take my dog and she was as welcome as we were. The food was brilliant esp Sunday roast and breakfast. Was close to all the local attractions, Definitely will be returning

The parking was limited at times, only space for about 6 cars but could get away with parking out of a allotted space

Our Delux standard room shouldnt be discribed as that. Lighting bulbs broken in room and bathroom.No vanity light over mirror. No headboard. Only one chair. Carpet with iron burn prominent. No double glazing, giving too much outside noise. Restricted heating, not a very comfortable room and not Delux.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service was also excellent and we were well looked after. The food at both dinner and breakfast was first class with a great choice and variety. Our room was tastefully decorated with a king-sized bed and smart en-suite.

Small car park, but manager said a staff car would be moved if necessary.

The Lamplighter was very welcoming, we had a lovely room,huge bed extra pillows if required. Breakfast was very nice, served on extremely hot plates which is brilliant!! We were lucky enough to be there to experience the curry night and subsequent folk evening, both were great. We hope to return soon.

Road noise, but that's not the fault of the , we're just not situated on a busy road at home, would still visit again.

Six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lamplighter. The location was very convenient, staff were really welcoming and helpful, rooms were clean and fresh and the food was delicious and better than value for money! We will definitely pay The Lamplighter another visit...very soon!

Hallways and rooms could do with a bit of tarting up

We liked the location it was convenient for walks and a good walk into Bowness which we wanted. All the staff were very helpfull nothing was too much trouble and a lovely touch were the Easter eggs and welcome card. Room and all the hotel was spotless and the meals were superb it will be my first choice when I revisit Windermere.

Very friendly, very clean and comfortable, execellent location. It was easter weekend and there was an easter card and easter eggs left in the room which really was a lovely touch. Would defintley recommend this hotel and would defintley stay there again. Fabulous weekend.
