Stunning location, Lovely food
Poor soundproofing, noisy neighbours and unreliable internet connection
The accommodation in the cottage style apartment was excellent, large room and bathroom , beautiful balcony /decking. Atmosphere of the pub amazing as was the food and the real ales (watch out for the ale Platform c delicious but potent) Staff were a real asset so welcoming friendly professional and helpful.
The weather , but can hardly blame that on anyone :-)
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the restaurant Served very good food. Breakfast was a buffet and very reasonable
Good location and excellent breakfast
Food in restaurant is good for a full meal. Good breakfast buffet, especially liked scrambled eggs. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is wonderful on the banks of Loch Lomond, at the foot of Conic Hill, and a short distance from Ben Lomond. Rooms are very comfortable and impeccably clean. Large flat screen TV in room plus tea and coffee making facilities. Free wifi throughout hotel.
Lack of sound insulation in cottages can mean you get disturbed by neighbours, although the hotel do provide complimentary ear plugs in the rooms to help avoid this. Very busy at peak times as is only restaurant/pub in village. They don't take bookings for restaurant but operate a wait list at busy times so need to make sure you get there in plenty of time before food orders stop at 9pm.
A fabulous hotel, food great , views wonderful and staff couldn't be nicer. Value for money couldn't be bettered
Near to Loch and lovely surroundings. Nice breakfast.
Could not sleep due to noise from kitchen extractor fan and air conditioning system right outside our room. One to front (huge metal chimney), one to other side on ground. Both running all day and part of night - noise and vibrations throughout room making relaxation and sleep impossible. Hot but had to shut windows and still noisy. Provision of earplugs on bedside on arrival was ominous! Meals expensive and disappointing. Not positioned on Lochside as expected from pics. Close to Loch but no views of it nor any grounds/gardens.
Atmosphere, food, staff.
Some noise overnight due to thin walls in lodges.
Evening staff super friendly and helpful - we were running late and they waited for us and met us with friendly smiles when we finally arrived Excellent location for anyone who wishes to hit Loch Lomond trails
Bed a little soft
The setting and general ambiance. Food and service pretty good, even if very crowded
Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent food, area lovely to spend a couple of days walking.
Location Spacious room in one of the cottages Friendly staff
very thin walls so could here everything in lower room
The hotel is perfectly fine for us. I like the hotel design and it is very good. Thanks for the Oak Tree Inn.
I took a bit time to find the hotel probably my Nav Sat doesn't work for this poscode.
Lovely room with beams and the best shower I've ever encountered!
Memory foam mattress was a bit of a disappointment, they aren't loved by everyone!
Great food and friendly atmosphere , Room was clean and loved our own outdoor space on the decking :)
Breakfast Warm welcome
Seeing the earplugs as we went into the room. Hearing chairs move on floor below across the slate floor. Breakfast ended at 9.30 and checkout at 10 early for a sunday
My partner and I stayed here for two nights on a short break. The room was lovely, we stayed in The Cottary cottage which had a huge open grass area to relax on and the area over looks the loch. The food was absolutely delicious, highly recommend the haggis and clapshot and the mushroom and steak pie. Fantastic scenery, great driving routes.
My only minor was the there is very little sound proofing from the other cottages around, but they do provide ear plugs so no real big deal!
Scenery, food, location, service, outside activities
Potholes on part of road in. Noisy beds
The staff the location and the accommodation
Because of the number of visitors we had almost 2 hours to wait for our meal.there was nowhere to wait in the Inn and there would have been no problem if it had been good weather but it was pouring!nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the staff had an excellent sense of humour
Staff were friendly and helpful at all times and helped with all enquiries, including posting on a charger I had left in my room
I was told the room was small but it had low ceilings which as a tall person meant I had to move around carefully !
We had a little house that had different rooms, they were fab!!! Nice and clean. Great veiw. The food was fantastic as well as the staff!
Location and food
room was very basic no wardrobe just a couple of coathangers they supply earplugs in the room I can only think it's for the noise from other rooms as it's not a busy road but the big thing was the price 127 per night !
Staff very polite and helpful area stunning
There was building work going on in front of our cottage heavy diggers and dumped trucks working all day view of loch obscured by diggers and clouds of dust also a painter started to work on outside of cottage we complained to staff and were immediately offered an upgrade cottage
Nice food and atmosphere ok
Not much to do no entertainment at night bit boring in pub
We liked the large room and bathroom and it was very clean.. Food was good, staff very friendly Lovely location.
