The staff were amazing and made the trip a pleasure
Staff excellent good food ex location
Supposed to be premium room not so bed hard apart from that exel
Great location and food.
Poor sound insulation between bedrooms.
Nice modern Bathroom and clean room
We stayed in one of the cottages. Some of the décor was a bit shabby, I would have expected a better finish for the price
Loved the views and the balcony off the room and the atmosphere in the bar and outside space
Noise level in room above. Sound proofing not good
There was nothing that disappointed us.
Cosy cottage rooms with a view of the loch. Dinner and breakfast were excellent (you have to try the Haggis!). Staff were friendly and attentive. Location is outstanding. Local beers on tap in the bar. Very laid back atmosphere. I was with my father and we intend to return next year with my mother and my girlfriend as it was so nice.
Nothing except the wi-fi didn't work at all in the cottage or the main hotel area and our phone reception was poor. This might be a problem for some people but we enjoyed being cut off from the world for a couple of days :)
The oak tree inn is a great little pub, newly built with the highest quality local materials. The pub had friendly helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. A nice selection of beers including the local lager "balmaha". It was very busy on the Friday night we stayed, but the staff found us a table and the food was not cheap but very enjoyable. We stayed in one of the new cottages, which is very nicely decorated and comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot - better than at home! A very enjoyable stay, not the budget option, but very happy with it.
Hmm, overuse of artificial grass does cheapen the look of those fantastically built slate buildings! A small detail, but real grass would be so much better.
Everything you need under one ownership.
Nothing at all.
We stayed in the main hotel and it was lovely, very quaint. Lovely staff, room well equipped, great food. Would def recommend!
Everything, loved the rooms, the breakfast the dinner, the view, the cottage, the balcony....... everything is on point.....
Interlocking rooms between double and twin, made for a very safe and stress free night.
Air con extractor just outside bedroom window very noisy.Bar/restaurant VERY busy with general tourists (August).
Stunning location, Lovely food
Poor soundproofing, noisy neighbours and unreliable internet connection
The accommodation in the cottage style apartment was excellent, large room and bathroom , beautiful balcony /decking. Atmosphere of the pub amazing as was the food and the real ales (watch out for the ale Platform c delicious but potent) Staff were a real asset so welcoming friendly professional and helpful.
The weather , but can hardly blame that on anyone :-)
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the restaurant Served very good food. Breakfast was a buffet and very reasonable
Good location and excellent breakfast
Food in restaurant is good for a full meal. Good breakfast buffet, especially liked scrambled eggs. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is wonderful on the banks of Loch Lomond, at the foot of Conic Hill, and a short distance from Ben Lomond. Rooms are very comfortable and impeccably clean. Large flat screen TV in room plus tea and coffee making facilities. Free wifi throughout hotel.
Lack of sound insulation in cottages can mean you get disturbed by neighbours, although the hotel do provide complimentary ear plugs in the rooms to help avoid this. Very busy at peak times as is only restaurant/pub in village. They don't take bookings for restaurant but operate a wait list at busy times so need to make sure you get there in plenty of time before food orders stop at 9pm.
A fabulous hotel, food great , views wonderful and staff couldn't be nicer. Value for money couldn't be bettered
Near to Loch and lovely surroundings. Nice breakfast.
Could not sleep due to noise from kitchen extractor fan and air conditioning system right outside our room. One to front (huge metal chimney), one to other side on ground. Both running all day and part of night - noise and vibrations throughout room making relaxation and sleep impossible. Hot but had to shut windows and still noisy. Provision of earplugs on bedside on arrival was ominous! Meals expensive and disappointing. Not positioned on Lochside as expected from pics. Close to Loch but no views of it nor any grounds/gardens.
Atmosphere, food, staff.
Some noise overnight due to thin walls in lodges.
Evening staff super friendly and helpful - we were running late and they waited for us and met us with friendly smiles when we finally arrived Excellent location for anyone who wishes to hit Loch Lomond trails
Bed a little soft
The setting and general ambiance. Food and service pretty good, even if very crowded
Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent food, area lovely to spend a couple of days walking.
Location Spacious room in one of the cottages Friendly staff
very thin walls so could here everything in lower room
The hotel is perfectly fine for us. I like the hotel design and it is very good. Thanks for the Oak Tree Inn.
I took a bit time to find the hotel probably my Nav Sat doesn't work for this poscode.
