Breakfast was ok
Room was cold. No hot water. No bedside table. Next door toilet loud
The location next to Harlow Mill Station is excellent
Could not sleep for the noise from the extractor fans from the restaurant below which did not turn off all night. Ask to move told no. The room was cold and damp.
the room was big and bathroom good.
breakfast only 8 to 830 did not get what i paid for very poor for a traveler going without breakfast, very poor I would like a refund.
Location, very close to Harlow mill station
Not clean, noisy
the fact they advertise they accept American express and do not
The breakfast was good and hearty, served on a prestine white starched tablecloth and cut glass tumblers for your juice.
I had to ask for missing slats to the blinds to be replaced, no curtains. Towels were as hard as cardboard. Thin walls, The hotel was being used as family homes with children playing in corridors and young ladies drying their hair in corridors. Too near the train station, PIR light going on and off all night.
Location and value
Only some of the room lights worked and could not be switched off whilst in bed and the TV remote was useless
Whole experience shocking This is more a Hostel rather than hotel! Feckless families live here along with the odd unfortunate 'hotel' guest Truly vile!!!!!!
I dont have enough space for all the negatives but the main issue is i didnt feel safe as there were people who were living there who had major social problems who should not have been at an establishment that was marketed as an hotel. This place needs to be shut down as a hotel immediately, its a tragedy waiting to happen.
Nice staff, you get free wifi and can have a meal at their Indian or Chinese restaurants located onsite. It is also a few meters from the Harlow Mill train station, good connections with London and Stansted airport. Free instant coffee and sugar, a kettle.
The single room was tiny, smelly (someone smoked there not long ago probably), no signs of proper cleaning (rubish under bed), the bathroom looked quite tired and not very clean as well. I had no chair in my room and it was quite tricky to understand how the lock on the door works. It appears that if you close your door it is still open until you don't touch your card and the light turns red. Also, I had some very noisy neighbors who decided to clarify their relationship at 3am. I am very sorry I didn't took the previous reviews more seriously and there were better places in Harlow where I could go.
Old & died
Close to main roads so easy to get anywhere. Business like and everything I need for a one night stay. Clean, decent bed. Good breakfast.
Yes the walls are thin! You wouldn't want to discuss any secrets if your mother in law was staying in the next room! Its not that bad - it was built in that era!
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. We were pleasantly surprised when we were given a full English breakfast when we were expecting a continental breakfast. It was great to have a fridge in the room. The hotel is reasonably close to Stansted. It only took us 25 minutes to drive to the airport
The room was very hot, it smelt musty and we couldn't get the air conditioning to work
Two restaurants in the hotel - Chinese and Indian, both very good. WiFi internet access throughout the hotel and restaurants.
It had a decking area
It was full of homeless people and people with mental health problems staying in rooms who lived there permently. Room very dirty nothing had been cleaned air con was broke very hot room, certain lights in room was not working. Kept getting bothered by the homeless/mental. Uncomfortable stay would not recommend. Misleading hotel as Its not a hotel it's a hostel
Long overdue for a re decorate, poor service especially at breakfst.
Noisy neighbours, fire alarm went off at 7:45 on Sunday morning, security and lighting arrangments were poor. External doors were being held open directly onto a side road late at night and no phones were in the room although the instructions in the room ask you to dial reception if you have any concerns. The two rooms we were given were at either ends of the hotel which meant that elderly parents felt insecure.
Coffee sachets Flat screen TV
The crumbs on and in the bed as if the linen had not be changed from the previous guest decor was dated with cracks in flooring, walls and ceilings causing hygiene and health concerns The fire door was wedged open with extinguisher and window left unsured by staff leaving personal belongs suceptible to theft Water was cold for first 5 minutes when taking show and did not regulate with spirts of boiling water extracting from shower nearly burning skin Towels supplied by hotel were hard and worn
The hotel staff were very pleasant & made sure we were ok on arrival. Breakfast staff were nice & also made sure we had enough to eat & drink. Bathroom was really clean. TV was good & good selection of channels.
The bed was terrible, the headboard wasn't attached to the bed so every time we moved it banged on the wall. The matterass was too thin & too hard. Bedding wasn't very nice & I couldn't get in the bed so slept on top all night. Only one flat pillow each too which wasn't very comfy. Not sure if the hotel was used as homeless accommodation too as lots of youngsters running around at night outside the room shouting & screaming. No bar facilities for a drink or to sit & relax.
Ideal location for my business. Dvd player in room.
Attached restaurant overpriced and poor food. Sheets and bedding smelled of smoke. People could see into my room no privacy at all.
Breakfast was awful (service and the quality of the food) as was the hygiene of the bathrooms. Never again.
Customer service was rude heating was full blast breakfast was a ridiculous time noise was awful will never use again
On site Chinese Restaurant saved the day.
It was SKANKY, my room stunk - I don't know whether it was mustiness, drains, damp or a combination of all . Breakfast was poor, one piece of bacon, one small egg, rushed. 8 am to 8.45 am on a Sunday morning, everything was cleared away by 8.45 and the door locked. At breakfast I only saw two other guests - foreign, talking a language I didn't recognize - could have been Portuguese but I suspect possibly Romanian. I wondered whether the rest of the guests were DHSS. .
