Large bedroom, nice relaxing lounges and conservatory overlooking bay with wonderful view Bed should have been double but was two singles pushed together. Mattresses were tired with springs that could be felt. Spa was tatty and hot tub was out dated and neglected

The relaxing atmosphere in the hotel and the stunning views across the bay. It was just the place to be to see the unexpected arrival of the sperm whale which was the highlight of our stay Service at breakfast was a bit on the slow side and seemed to be a free for all as you never knew which member of staff was doing what. I would have prefered a buffet offering fruit, cereals, juices and perhaps a selection of morning rolls that you could just help yourself to. This would allow the staff more time to serve each table and perhaps be a bit more customer friendly in the morning.

The view Shower in the room was nothing but a dribble - when we asked to move room the new room had a semi-decent shower but the bed was awful. The mattress felt like it was at least 15 years old. Also the prices for food and drink were completely unreasonable compared to the prices in surrounding pubs and restaurants. If we go back to Oban we won't be staying at the Oban Bay Hotel & Spa.

Excellent location and value for money. More importantly though they accept dogs. Bathroom looked tired and the shower cubicle had seen better days.

You would need to be mad to pay the standard rate for this hotel. It's pretending to be something it is not, the pictures you see are a far cry from the reality your shown a beautiful old house which is basically the restaurant you stay in what looks like a prison or at best very poor student accommodation. Oban has much better to offer stay away is my advice I'll never stay there again

the size of the triple room was more than adequate. Breakfast was good. Room cleaned to a high standard each day. Fresh towels daily. No problem with parking as there was ample free parking in local car park 3 mins away. Had to move room after first night as there was a faulty water pump in cupboard next door. No triple room available till 3rd night and alternate rooms were not up to same standard. Coffee and tea at breakfast were cold before you could finish.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in te perfect spot with amazing views. The shower was broken and staff didn't seem to eager to fix it until we told them what was wrong with it. Room service wasn't available as there weren't enough staff working downstairs, although they were very apologetic when we went down to get what we needed. There was also a mix up with the dinner order, bt this was rectified quickly.

I liked the hot tub although could have been a little bigger as i cant imagine coming in the summer months when it is busy. The breakfast was lovely although could have been explained by staff which one applies to your booking. The room was frozen even after keeping the heating on all night and the towel facility you have to pay for, so if you stay and use your towel once you pay for the next time

The hotel is very nice, the only downside is parking, unless I missed it I did not see on the web that parking is very restricted and requires booking. Parking!!

Our stay was perfect from checking in to checking out. The staff were really helpful and friendly, the standard room was big enough with giant comfortable king size bed. Dinner was excellent with good variety and service as was breakfast. Will return and recommend it to friends. £5 parking charge. Not enough tea/coffee/biscuits in room.

Hotel was warm and friendly, perhaps too warm in the night and no thermostat to adjust heat levels. Michael from poland my waiter was very good. Parking issues. Had to ask another hotel for their permission to park car in their car park. Suggest park and ride to corran halls provided by hotel, valet park perhaps

Location Lounge Breakfast Noise till 12.45 from disco beneath our room then staff moving tables back at 4 am which woke me up ! Lack of toiletries in toom( 2 body lotions and no shower/bath gel. I think in such a beautiful hotel little more attention wouldn't go amiss. Eg pouring tea in the afternoon. Carrying drinks through to the dining room for guests.

Great room, great staff, great bar, great breakfast Three things only .... 1/ Glasses in bathroom next to sink were a) full of old used water and b) covered in toothpaste and clearly had not been cleaned in a long time 2/ Toilet seat was not attached to toilet and was a 'health hazard' as it kept slipping about. The Cleaning staff must have known this and simply not bothered to report it 3/ The Hotel charges paying guests £5 to park their car at the hotel, with the only alternative being on-street parking some distance away. Its a bit mean and un-necessary
