We had ar eally lovely room at this hotel. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the location was excellent, being close to the station. Ferry terminal and on the bay. We would recommend it.

Central location convenient for the port and railway station. My room was musty and hot. It was barely 15c outside. I couldn't open the window beyond a couple of inches. I called the hotel porter who managed to open it a bit more and provided a cheap plastic fan. The matress was uncomfortable. I think it was very old and reflected the tired and worn state of the hotel. For £139 a night I felt that the hotel was vastly overpriced and had I been paying £65 that would have reflected a fair price. Elsewhere in Scotland I paid around £110 a night for hugely better hotels. Overall I was very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel at all.

Breakfast I didn't like the fact that the room was very cold when we arrived and it was impossible to find out how the shower works. The water preassure changed constantly and the temperarture moved from very cold to very hot in a matter of seconds. The heater in the bathroom didn't work either.

Good central location. Very nice breakfast with a good choice and quality of food. Staff generally friendly and approachable and did address any questions/concerns in a professional manner. Room decor nice and generally very pleasant. Parking not always easy and limited to 2 hours at a time between 9am and 6pm. Was also a little shocked at the £10 per night charge for the dog which was not advised - could result in a fairly hefty additional charge if you were there for a longer period. However, my feelings about this were noted by the front desk staff.

The hotel was ideally located vis a vis the railway station and ferry terminal, only a few steps away. Accordingly, some of the rooms looked out upon the sea. There was also wi-fi in the room, which proved very useful. The quality of service was mediocre and it was quite disappointing to hear ceaseless vulgarities coming from the Polish housekeepers, who clearly assumed they would not be understood. The breakfast was also rather poor, as were the general waiting services at the cafeteria.

Location, price, resteraunt meal deal was quite good, as was the food. The price was good so it's difficult to comment on the room other than to say it was quite adequate. Would I go back ? Yes, probably but you have to accept that the cheap rooms have poor views rather than over splendid Oban harbour. You get what you pay for I guess.

Good central location for Oban and surrounding countryside at reasonable price. Very limited parking only 3 or 4 spaces outside the hotel. Street parking limited to 2 hours on pay & display. Station car park nearby, signed for Scotrail customers only, £3.00/24hrs. Breakfast cold when served, suggests not freshly made.

The hotel was nice, and the staff were good. The room wasn't unclean as advised above, the problem was the bar. More often than not the glasses the drinks were served in were filthy and I had to request a clean glass, and the toilets were disgusting even first thing in the morning. It is easily fixed, and I hope it does as this was the only problem with the hotel, but a standard which is not acceptable.

Friendly staff, closeness to rail/bus/ferry, location as in Oban, Scotland, great breakfastcheck out time 11am as opposed to earlier, reasonable price and resonably quiet. Slighly shabby - heater didnt work on first night and door didnt lock. These issues were resolved the next day however. Window didnt open. All hotels in Oban are similar however

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean with excellent views of the bay. The food was mediocre. It never quite seemed to hit the mark yet was not terrible. For instance the chilli had no kidney beans or tomatoes and had red peppers instead of chillis.
