This was our third visit to the Oban. Staff are very friendly and we had a comfortable stay. It was what you want for a short stay. We will be going back again.

The staff were friendly and very polite. Food was very good. Manager very helpful.

The loos are a real let down - poor function and tend to suddenly operate when clients are nowhere near the bathroom, as well as at odd times during the night: could be un-nerving in the early hours and tend to disturb sleep, but not too often - luckily!

The welcome we received from the staff who were very attentive the whole time. The food was excellent. The accommodation was comfortable. The drinks were very reasonably priced.

The shower in my father in law's bathroom was very tight. Other than that nothing.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, the hotel was very good value for money and conveniently located. The room was comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. The breakfasts were good. Overall, an enjoyable stay

The staff had no control over the weather. Serves us right for having our wedding anniversary in October. :)

my previous visit to eastbourne offered a buufet breakfast which was superior to obans however the spaceous twin room and comfortable chairs made up for this.

It was very clean and staff where polite and helpful.Right on the beach front ,lovely views of the sea.We didnt have breakfast as we lay in, so cant comment on that.The bed was the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in.

The only thing that let it down was when people moved into room above us we could really hear them and when they walked across the floor it vibrated and made the tea cups clink.We were at the back of the building and couldnt really sleep until all the revellers had gone from the pub which was late.We purposley chose this hotel as there wasnt entertainment on,so thought it would be quiet in evening and its away from the town center.

For the two days we stayed, the staff was always friendly and willing to help. Very nice dining room, complete and consistent breakfast, perfect location.

No car parking

It looks like a lot of refurbishment has been done recently and all the service areas (bar , dining room , and front of building ) look very clean and attractive

We had some of the lower floor bedrooms and although were very clean with enough space are still waiting for an upgrade of furnishings.I'm sure the upper floor areas were better. There was also a problem with the ground floor public toilets being out of order for a while.

When we arrived we were greeted warmly by a young gentleman, the atmosphere was very welcoming, the location was excellent overlooking the seafront, the inside of the hotel was basic but pleasant and very clean. We only had breakfast but it was very nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Locality.

Twin room quite small. En-suite very cramped, layout poor. Difficult to adjust temp. of water to shower. Furniture very old fashioned and badly marked.

Clean, comfortable, pleasant and helpful staff, reasonable choice at breakfast, room with a sea view which was a bonus. It was also quieter than I expected from its situation on the seafront and the fact that my stay coincided with the Airbourne event which Iwas unaware of when I booked.

I didn't have an evening meal from choice. I was told what was on the menu, but thought it sounded a bit expensive.

The room we stayed in was basically fine, perhaps a little stuffy, and although recently refurbished was a bit soulless, flooring a bit creeky. But overall it was good.

It was on the sea front near to everything!!! Staff very friendly!!

Made very welcome. Friendly helpful staff, from the Manager downwards. High standard of cleanliness. Good food well cooked and wide choice, both at breakfast (included in price) and at opional 3 course dinner (reasonably priced). Good service at both meals. Comfortabe Bar/Lounge, with free entertainment on 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed. Great sea views from bedroom.
