The staff were great. Really helpful. The hotel was clean and drinks in the bar very reasonably priced.
The hotel room was a bit shabby. The bed was uncomfortable. The plug socket was very loose and the cover for the light was missing with wires on show. Only one of the 3 windows would open.
The location, and view from the room was excellent. Staff were very helpful, and very friendly.
The hotel needed a lick of paint in places.
Excellent staff, very helpful and knowledgeable - probably the best we've ever come across. Breakfast was superb - well cooked and presented with a wide choice, great waitresses - again probably the best we've ever come across in such a competitively priced hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Shower worked well with a good flow of hot water. View was pleasant over-looking the sea. Overall very good value for the money. It's a shame the place needs the exterior and interior smartening up a lot.
Room furniture (except the bed) and general decor was, let's say a bit tired, and is well past its use-by date, so needs an update. Towels were quite small and thin. The balcony railings were poorly maintained and badly painted. Car park is an odd shape making parking difficult with all of the spaces occupied, so don't expect to be able to park easily.
Lovely hotel Staff very friendly we had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the sea was beautiful , lovely breakfast very large choice of different things would highly recommend
There was nothing we didn't like
We were not impressed with the breakfast. It was not worth what we paid for it. It was hard work getting it on to your plate moving the covers we had nowhere to put them, hence created an embarrassing queue. The waitress too one was pleasant the other miserable! The had the door open we were frozen until finally it was closed.... This was next door we went for our breakfast. I would like to say though I was so touched that they left me a birthday card in my room when I arrived to celebrate it, that meant so much so I thank them for thier kind thoughtfulness. We would return and loved the room we had 104.
staff were very friendly and helpful if get a sea view room then you have amazing views out to sea but need top floor to cut down the noise good choice of breakfast as long as you were not late garden area to have relaxing coffee in the daytime. location good as can walk along the promenade for miles after getting down via lift or hill path
room number 3 was a seaview but was next to the bar balcony and near the events room where weddings took place on saturday + sunday and you had to have the curtains shut to relax as all could see into the room which is why we asked to be moved. felt needed modernising so thought price was exessive so you need to go on a special deal. noisy in front rooms due to having garden area where wedding guests and bar users congregated late at night.
Location Friendly Staff
Dining room and Parking at next door hotel Decor in need of some modernisation Lift rather ancient
Hospitality of the staff View over the beach Pretty decor
Tiered lift ... Worn carpet...poor visual No indoor leisure facilities
The location and sight of pool was lovely and beautiful . Very peaceful and relaxing .
Very cold , Also some loose tiles around pool
All staff very polite and helpful, good breakfast
Although evident that the room had been recently decorated the carpet was shabby. With a bit of thought to detail the overall experience and impression would be greatly improved.
I loved the interior of the hotel room and that there was great storage space and it was very sophisticated and looked nice.
I did not like that the toilet did not have a lock on the door and didn't shut to properly because I have ibs and in the morning it made it uncomfortable and unnerving
Hotel is just 10 mins walk from the main town. It overlooks the sea which is accessed by cliff steps/walkway. Nice bar area & dining room. Would reccomend this hotel.
Excellent breakfast very good selection
Could not get Wi-Fi in room
Excellent location. Car park a bit small but I got my car in. The room was clean and had a sea view which was wonderful as the weather (September 13-15) was warm and sunny. The breakfast was excellent, they replenished quickly. The service was very good.
We had to go next door to the sister hotel for the evening meal. The lift was very slow.
location, balcony, friendly staff, very helpful, clean linen, prompt room service, parking permit, plenty of power sockets
Creaky floor boards throughout. Tired balcony chairs. Curtains didn't block out all the light. When you sat up in bed your bed moved, not anchored to the wall.
Quiet location with good access to main bus routes. Friendliness of staff. Superb choice for breakfast. Size and comfort of sea-view room.
Limited car parking. No CCTV. for general security.
Fantastic view, decor a wee bit tired staff very friendly
Bathroom on the small size, but adequate
Staff at front desk and in restaurant were excellent. Food was of a high quality. Comfortable bar space and pleasant outdoor areas.
Our room was tiny, floors creaked and sound insulation from other rooms was very poor.
very satisfied with everything
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good location.
Rather shabby. Gaffer tape on carpets. Poor quality mattresses. Peeling wallpaper. Exterior need of painting. Talk of it being knocked down reflected in upkeep of decor.
Everything xxx. Good food xxx
Location and the swimming pool
Parking and Wi-Fi
The location was great - the rooms nice and clean - the bathrooms were not as good. I was travelling with my sisters & cousin and my elderly father.
The receptionist on arrival was patronising and impatient. She offered us 3 rooms on the 3rd floor and 1 on the 2nd initially - which was fine but we wanted myself & my sister to be near to my dad who had been given the 2nd floor. My cousin said she would take this room but the receptionist did not want to change them over. We insisted and so she changed the numbers on the key card holder but did not change the key card so we had to meet back at reception to change them over again. When I told her the next day that my cold tap would not turn she said it was probably me doing something wrong but she would get maintenance to have a look and find out 'what I was doing wrong...' Maintenance fixed the tap for me.
Seriously needs an update!
The beds were quite comfy and the rooms a good size. The outdoor space is definitely the best feature of the hotel.
We stayed during the air show and paid £22.95 per person for their air show package day. The air show in Bournemouth is all about the cliff top flying and from the ocean view we could see a hedge and a tree. There is no view of the ocean and no view of the airplanes unless they were high in the sky and past the tree. The only way to view the show was to leave the hotel and go and stand on the road past the hedge and tree to see it. It was a total con. Instead of it being the relaxing day we expected we spent most of it hurtling to and fro. We were very disappointed. The BBQ was ok the pathway to the hotel from our seat was rocky and not even. Inside our bathroom faced onto a road with no frosted glass and a blind that didn't quite lower all the way. Breakfast was standard nothing amazing for the money this hotel charge it was not good value. Pre paying as you walk thro the door in full not a pre authorisation in this day and age is cheeky and shows a lack of modernisation which ran thro the hotel. There are much better hotels on the east cliff for less money at a higher standard we won't be staying again.
