The staff and the atmosphere of the hotel was very pleasant. It was very clean and comfortable; there was on site parking which was very convenient.
This is nit picking but the walls were very thin and you could hear footsteps and inaudible conversation from other rooms. It wasn't too much of an issue, like I say just being picky.
1. The location on cliff-top. 2. Quiet location and hotel 3. £42 for a single incl breakfast good value in February 4. The cleanliness and good maintenance 5. The dinner next door in an altogether different 'boutique' hotel 6. Free off-road car parking (an issue in Bournemourth)
1. The slightly anodyne quality to the whole place - most of public rooms just empty private-hire rooms; not sure I would stay here for a longer period, especially if weather was poor. 2. Breakfast was in one of those big function rooms - a a bit of a bleak experience; hot-plate buffet and coffee good, flabby tasting berad poor.
Breakfast was delicious. Good view of the sea.
Could here people coming and going in the corridors outside the room
Very helpful staff and a good breakfast beautiful location
I did not find the bed comfortable I am not sure it was because of the pillows but I was not comfy
The bed was really comfortable
Excellent location. Good value.
Bed too hard for my taste. Breakfast not served until 8am on Sunday.
Rooms a bit tatty on deco
Comfy, clean, lovely breakfasts. Sixth time we have been for short break ,we love it.
Brilliant sea view, huge bedroom and great bed.very clean.
Apart from booking in and even then I had to contact their sister hotel to do so , didn't see a sole apart from the cleaner.
The balcony/room views. The receptionist "Lisa" made us both feel VERY welcome. The location of the hotel.
Car parking was a downfall due to the fact we couldn't park in either ocean view or cottonwood car park. The noise of the room above ours we could hear the extractor fan, floor boards creeking when ever people were walking round and even the toilet flushing. The other little down fall would have to be the fact we didn't know there were private functions when we wanted to eat in the restuarant we had to go next door which we didn't mind but then to be told there were private functions in that hotel too but luckily cottonwood did accommodate us but did not make us feel welcome.
Self service breakfast
The breakfast was super, The views from the room The super friendly staff The way we were moved to a fantastic family room after problems with the loud guests above our room on the first night.
The loud clicking of wood from the hot water pipes and the very sqeaky old floor boards
great bed and spacious room..very kind portoguese receptionist who gave me useful advices
wifi signal not Always good...but not a big deal
Very good well done to all the staff at the hotel. A credit to the catering trade.
location short walk to city centers stunning views and excellent walks
We stayed there for 4 nights, and received very reasonable price, we did not expect such great service for the price. The staff were helpful, smiling. we really enjoyed our stay. Free parking was good as there is restrictions on the street. and free wi fi was very handy. Room was neat and clean, not modern, but unique. We received a 10% discount for the restaurant,
floor in bathroom was carpet
Our room looked out perfectly onto the seafront and the wonderful views of Bournemouth, the rooms were huge and very clean, staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with any problems! Will definitely be visiting the Ocean view hotel again.
Friendly staff. Very good food.
The bedroom was very poorly decorated and tiles missing in en suite, also a cracked sink. We paid for Dinner B & B. The dinner menu was very limited (not the inclusive menu that was shown on line).
Good room Good price Good location
Staff said they would do things that they didn't do for example get an iron, and put us down for late checkout
Excellent except pillows were uncomfortable.
Pillows and, teabag in room were horrible.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very comfortable and quiet room
We had a room with a lovely view across the sea shore.
To eat we had to go next door to the restaurant in the sister hotel. But the food was very good there.
Welcoming staff. Good breakfast. Excellent location.
Décor tired. Bathroom needed refurbishment- patchy tiles; leaking towel rail which was not working;; toilet handle loose.
24 hour bar
The room The fact our had a leak and it took over an to resolve our issue we had been upgraded but if I'm honest there was no difference we either had a standard bathroom and poor room or standard room and poor bathroom if I'm completely honest i should have asked for a refund would rather of slept on the sea front !
Excellent value for money. Lovely, friendly, smiley staff :) Would recommend to anyone.
