Loved the quirkiness of the hotel, the kitsch decor, fantastic food, great cocktails and staff all friendly and helpful.
Nothing to dislike.
Beautiful hotel in a fab location. I didn't eat in the restaurant book it looked lovely and will eat in there on my next visit. The bar area was really nice and in the summer the outside area is a fidden gem.
Couldn't fault anything would defo stay again
Everything!!i could live there !
Superb location with car parking round the corner. Hotel styling and comfort were 5 star.
Clean modern rooms, good location to walk in to town, friendly staff .
No push chair access and lots of steps to get into the hotel which wasn't stated
Building itself is really lovely great to stay in such a historical building and fantastic location near to all local amenities.
The staff weren't particularly that friendly, customer service could be better.
We stayed for one night, would have loved to have stayed for longer. Our room was splendid, the hotel is so unique and perfectly situated in the heart of Chester. We will definitely return.
Great location, amazing service and friendly staff, beautiful rooms! Will definitely be returning and recommending
Overall the hotel was excellent. Staff polite and friendly. Theme and decor were a real talking point and room was lovely.
The bathroom..!! This was certainly an interesting layout. If your not shy and happy to sit on the toilet and do your business in front of your partner...then great!! For those who are not...the layout of bathroom and extreme lack of privacy is something that does not suit all.
Great location; excellent staff and very comfortable room.
Stunning hotel and restaurant usually stay grosvenor hotel and this hotel was as good.
noisy garden drinkers but still slept well in very comfy bed
Location is great, staff are wonderful, hotel is one of the best I have stayed in, cant think of one bad thing to say. Lovely rooms and the garden is a gem to sit in either summer or winter (heaters on). This was our 2nd stay and we have booked again already
Staff very helpful indeed Breakfast delivered to door was very good quality Room very comfortable. Bed - wonderful. Had a greatl couple of days. Quirkyness of hotel brilliant.
Wifi signal very poor We were not told about the voucher for parking until my husband had left to get the car.
- theme and decor - location - staff friendly - cleanliness
- toilet in living area - bedside lamp broken - priced slightly too high
We loved the quirkiness of the hotel and the round bed!
Nothing it was all fab!
We had a wonderful stay here, loved the quirkiness of the décor and sitting outside, in the secret garden under the heaters, on a cold winters evening, looking at the stars!
All the staff were lovely, perhaps a little more of a relaxed atmosphere when checking in and out would of been good. Just felt a little officious & we were a little embarrassed how the receptionist spoke to his members of staff.
Great, quirky rooms, friendly staff, good atmosphere.
I just didn't find the round bed comfortable. A classic case of style over substance!
staff ,and the quirkeyness fantastic
Staff pleasant, very friendly and make sure everything is perfect. bedrooms spacious and comfortable as soon as you arrive you feel relaxed. Love the decor and different places to drink, eat etc
Only thing is i think that the use me drawers in rooms should have fruit teas and yummy biscuits.
Staff were excellent and resolved our booking issue very well. Good breakfast, excellent location.
Expensive food / drink. No parking
We loved everything about this hotel including originality of its design and ambiance to the wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant for a birthday celebration. The bar area was full of atmosphere in the evening and staff were very efficient and polite- bar staff made my husband his favourite cocktail with great expertise and care. Highly recommend this hotel for sightseeing and in particular a hot spot for shopping in Chester.
There was nothing to dislike about this hotel!
I loved the qerkyness of this hotel, different from any other hotel we've stayed in. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Chester
Check- in is done seated at a table in a little side room but you feel you are intruding on others already checking in. No lifts, not a problem for us but might be for others
The personal was really good
Every aspect of the hotel is very impressive from the interior, food, rooms etc. It still remains one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.
