Ogstons On North Street

The staff were excellant and could not do enough to help, hotel was clean and comfy.

As a member of the R&A Ogstons is very handy and is a friendly, clean place without frills.

The hotel is very nice,situated on north street, near university. All attractions can be reached by foot within 3 minutes. Rooms are beautifully furnished,big bathroom! Staff is very nice,the guy at the reception even helped us with the luggage. Go there!

This was a lovely hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious . Would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is near the beach the golf course and the town centre.

Didn't rate the breakfast - sausage didn't taste like sausage and small portions. If you are serving a cooked breakfast use quality produce! Fruit salad was apple and more apple! Very small tea cups in the room.

Everything was lovely. The rooms were very large, very clean, and the staff very pleasant.

Squeeky floor boards but its an old building. We were on the top floor but I felt sorry for the people below us.

Rooms were very small. There is no room to unpack your luggage but for a short stay that it ok. The biggest issue is that it is above a disco so after 11 until closing (around 2) it is very loud. Luckily I had earplugs with me. When I had I had asked the person that checked me in about the noise level he mentioned that the rooms were well insulated and I shouldn't hear anything. I think they should be a little more upfront about the issue -and make sure that each customer has access to earplugs if they need them.

Decor was modern & tasteful. The staff were very helpful & friendly. We ate dinner there & it was excellent as was the breakfast.

We had booked a small double & it was quite small but it had everything we needed & we enjoyed our stay.

Room was a bit small. Restaurant staff a tad dour. Rude awakening at 3 am of a man banging on our door to be let in!!

The food was good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient.

The staff were helpful and very pleasant - the hotel and rooms spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back - my son will hopefully be starting at the university in september and if so The Ogston Hotel will be our first choice of accomodation.

Loved everything!

Just what you would want for a relaxing and quaint couple of days in St Andrews.

No hot water in late afternoon to get ready for going out or later in evening. We were just told that was the boilers timings!!! Shame as lovely deep bath i would have loved to try.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was large and well decorated. Great location for exploring St Andrews.

The perfect location for site seeing, shopping and dining in St Andrews. Only a short walk to the seashore and a very accessible beach. The food selection at breakfast was good and staff were terrific!

Parking is an issue in St Andrews so at least at Ogstens you could just park and leave the car there for the whole stay. Hot water was unreliable.
