Good sized room and comfortable bed. On suite bathroom, was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, and staff always very helpful and polite. As we didn't have a car, although the distance into the city centre is not far, we had to walk to St Thomas's and pay on buses because my wife could not walk up the hill. This is in no way a complaint about the hotel, just the location, as we had to get to the bus station each day. |

Not a lot. The beds were quite comfortable. We appeared to be in accommodation used not only for paying guests but as a hostel for the less fortunate, one of whose hygiene was awful - as we discovered when we sat in close proximity to them at breakfast! The hotel felt run down. Fortunately we had only booked for one night. If we had been due to stay longer we would certainly have tried to find alternative accommodation. We have stayed at much better hotels than this for the same amount that we paid for Oke Lodge. |

Nice and unexpensive place, within walking distance of the center of Exeter. We had a cosy room for 3 people. Not very spacious, but perfectly convenient for our overnight stay. We had a hard time finding the place. |

The staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel was very dated and the decor needed improving. We stayed in the family room and the bed was very uncomfortable. Not worth the £79 for one night |

Near to city centre, river side walk, and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for the money. Previous comments about the hotel from other clients were not justified in my opinion. |

The one member of staff was very polite and helpful. The beds were very uncomfortable, broken light fittings, blinds, shower tray. The traffic noise all night was unbearable. Breakfast was of very poor quality. Overpriced. I thought the price would mean reasonable quality but is was the worst place I have ever stayed in. |

We entered the room but then decided to go home. My son had gone away a day early and there was nothing to stay for. There were bits of old rubbish behind the fridge and there was no facility to wash cups. The hotel really are trying but this is suitable for backpackers sorry. |

The room, the beds and breakfast were all adequate, reception open 24hours Everything was a bit tatty. We have a 1 year old and the cot they provided was broken and therefore not safe, also the highchair they provided at breakfast was not cleaned from one morning to the next. |

I checked in and checked out losing the cost of one nights accommodation. I stayed at the Thistle instead. No hangers in cupboard, drawer to chest of drawers broken, room tiny and overall feel of hotel very poor there was nothing I did like about the hotel.A receptionist that could not speak english, guest or member of staff rolling a cigarette in reception etc. |

Didn't have to wait too long for breakfast The cot was placed the wrong way round and when our son tried to sleep in it it wasn't safe and one of the bars was loose and was just creaking all the time. |

Too far out from City Centre. This was a group of two Vicvtorian terraces knocked into one, and although the owners had tried their best, it didn't work. City centre reachable up a steep hill, too much for me.It is just about adequate but a few niggling little faults. |
