Lovely cosy room, with nice toiletry touches. We ate in the restaurant, and the meal was delicious, with a good menu. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Everything! We had all the home comforts and more in the amazing family lodge.
Not a thing!
Relaxed holiday. Lovely river walks. Very good food. Comfortable bed.
The proximity of the Cathedral. The lovely architecture which had been sympathetically restored to make the hotel. Dun lane itself and the friendly people.
Clean. Modern interiors. Ancient exteriors. Only 1 1/2 year old business. Good breakfasts. Great dinners. History abounds. Good central location for day trips.
This place is faultless!
Generaly nice place
Up front payment 20% over priced
The peaceful setting and home away from home feel.Very relaxing.Breakfast was lovely and after a days flight from home it was perfect. A walk through the village ,a pint at the pub down by the river made for a great introduction to Scotland.
The boys beds were not very comfortable
Hotel had a room problem so we were relocated to Dunblane Hydro at no extra cost!!! We had a single attic room with double bed squeezed in and didn;t even have a window you could see through. Room number 434. Extremely disappointing.
Location was good and Dunblane is gorgeous
We booked a twin room and got a double that was so big it dominated the room so much so there was not room for bedside tables. Therefore no room to put your cup of tea or enough light to read without putting on the big overhead light. The bathroom was dirty and we had to run the tap for 5 mins to get any hot water - this didn't work with the shower that was luke warm. When we pointed this out to the receptionist she wasn't happy and informed us clip on headboard lights were available in the drawer - very miffed that we weren't happy and it showed!! Her response was if you want a wardrobe you can't have bedside tables as well!!!!!!

The food was lovely at breakfast and the evening meal we had. All the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Having to ask for toast, it should have been offered as there was butter and marmalade on the table. Noticed everyone had to ask.
The situation opposite the cathedral.
Double bed with duvet cover much bigger than the duvet so most uncomfortable. At least beds should be 5ft wide. Shower room poor. Breakfast choice poor and we had to ask for toast both days. Cereals mostly for children.
I liked the location
Outside our room on the first night the radiator was so hot it was extremely uncomfortable in our room. The hotel was mostly filled by a wedding party and we probably got to sleep at around 4 o'clock. We were moved to another room the next day. As all of the wedding party had left we hoped that we would then get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately this was not the case, the hotel had a function on and as the kitchen and function room are on opposite side's of the first floor of the building there was the constant noise of the staff going up and down from the kitchen to the function room. I would add that this building is obviously very old and the creaking of the floor boards after hours of this can be very annoying. We were booked to stay for 3 nights, but after 2 nights of poor sleep we decided to leave and book another place. I was also annoyed that at first I was not given the full night's refund bearing in mind that we had not been given a decent night's sleep on the previous 2 nights. It was only because I had to query this that I was given the refund, I was however offered 25% off dinner in the restaurant. Bearing in mind what we had gone through we did not feel we wanted to stay at the hotel any longer, so we left.
Friendly staff Lovely food....freshly cooked breakfast Bedrooms comfortable
Very comfortable double room Well-designed modern decor Friendly & helpful staff Great location opposite cathedral
Breakfast a little uninspired
Small room Bathroom hazardous Very noisy, continual clomping about overhead No vegetarian breakfast
Lovely position, overlooking cathedral. Room very nice, and dining area very spacious.
Comfortable bed, close to everything, pleasant staff and great food.
Not able to open window to cool off room due to no screen and thus flying bugs.
the staff were pleasant and helpful, the location was good .
The room was very small with only a few inches between the beds so access was limited. there was no room for bedside cabinets and no reading lights other than a light which was situated on a cabinet on the wall adjacent to one of the beds and required one to get out of bed to switch it off.
The hotel is set in a quaint old town- or is it a city- as the Dunblane Cathedral is directly opposite the building with beautiful peaceful views of it. Reception was lovely and the staff were pleasant, although one breakfast room member had a bit of a moment on one of the weeks stay with the order- this was soon rectified. We stayed in a pleasant family room with had a double and small double bed at opposite sides if the room. The hotel owner could really make this hotel very special but it is let down by the fixtures and fittings- they appear to be of basic domestic quality (wobbly diy store wardrobe for example). With a little more thought and time this room would have been better suited to vintage items, keeping the new/old design. Breakfasts were pleasant but not outstanding- no complaints. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and would recommend the food. Would stay again and would recommend.
We stayed the week but the rooms were not cleaned thoroughly celery day- change I'd towels and beds tidied up. I gad to clean the sink halfway through the visit and the carpet didn't look like it had been vacuumed for the whole stay. That's okay if you stay for the night or weekend but more thought and planning for overnight stays please.
Good bed, good breakfast, friendly staff. Good location across the street from the cathedral. Easy walk to the downtown restaurants, too. We appreciated the electric power strip for plugging in our electronic devices. Our stay was very pleasant.
Because our closest parking spot was a block away, we took our bags with us to check in. We entered the building at street level, and followed directions to check in at the restaurant upstairs. Having the dining staff in charge of check-in was unusual. Walking through narrow hallways with baggage, unsure of our final destination was cumbersome. In hindsight, we should have first checked in and then gone back to the car for the bags.
Very close to the pretty village. Charming old building. Great hearty breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
Shower door a bit tight so best not to be a big build when getting in and out of the shower.
I recently spent 2 nights at Old Churches House with friends for a family celebration. The accommodation was excellent. Very clean, and bed was very comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant which was delicious. They catered well for the children who cleared their plates which says it all. I would recommend to friends
Great position in front of marvellous Cathedral. Dunblane an undiscovered jewel. The Cathedral is wonderful. Rooms were very nicely set out and the whole decor and finishing were lovely.
Slightly musty smell in the room disappeared after a while. Lamb shank in the restaurant, but everything else was very good.
Modern fittings and very clean Good value, good quality food Quiet and secluded location Easy access to main roads of Perthshire
No bedside table within reach
