Built in 1854, this hotel was once the High School of Stirling. Less than a 10 minute walk from the city’s historic castle, it has an AA Rosette-awarded restaurant and free parking.

The charm, the peaceful and beautiful location. We dined 2 nights and the food is excellent An excellent freshly cooked breakfast The friendly and helpful staff This is our second visit and we will certainly be back
The rooms were lovely, compact but big enough for what we needed. Had a late lunch in the restaurant as well and couldn't fault it.
The bed was pretty small, didn't even feel like a double.....!
size of room
Welcomed like an old friend, although this was my first visit to Dunblane. Effortless registration as I'd booking with Booking.com. I was given a quick tour but everything's well signposted. Lovely fluffy bath sheet and hand towel. Enjoyed a pleasant dinner (last sitting 8:30pm) of cassoulet and steamed veggies, followed by perfectly ripe brie and green salad and a bottle of fine Pinot Noir. Thick cut lean ham with poached eggs for breakfast. Delicious! Reception booked a taxi that turned up on time for my onward journey.
I wasn't inconvenienced by the three minor defects in the bathroom that I reported to reception. Restaurant staff respond to every request or 'thank you' with, "Not a problem" - ugh!
Decor Space Comfort Cleanliness
Shower not great Breakfast not included
The friendliness and efficiency of the staff and the excellent facilities. The breakfast was high standard and the service in dining room first class.
Clean and well furnished enjoyed my stay
Room a tiny bit small but managed just fine
Location- directly opposite the Cathedral. Library/ lounge- spacious and inviting. Reception staff- very efficient. Disabled access- well thought out. Cleanliness- and general appearance of all public areas. Parking- free public car park very near. Chef- high standard of evening meal; catered with ease for vegetarian meal when requested.
Bedrooms- not as spacious as expected; furniture, although good quality, either didn't fit spaces properly or gave a cluttered look; inadequate lighting. No veggie choice on early eve menu (but see positive remarks) Breakfast ' buffet '- too limited if continental only wanted ( there was no sign of cheeses or meats when we visited. They may have been available on request- had we wanted them- but staff did not say so)
Everything. Great. Lovely use of the historic space. Nice quiet setting. Close to downtown eating places. Two minute walk to the church. Got nearby street parking every night. Nice breakfast. . . . . .
Can't complain about anything.
Helpful staff in Reception and in the Restaurant. Excellent food. Wonderful location.
The prices was amazing, room was really good, shower was good and the food was really excellent. The Full Scottish breakfast was one of the best I have every had and the dinners at night were a total delight. Staff were really friendly, just a lovely place all round.
That I only stayed 2 nights!
The guest house is right across the street from Dunblane Cathedral, a location we had planned on visiting, so this was the perfect place for us to stay. The room was small, but comfortable. The breakfasts were tasty, and the staff very friendly.
Lovely cosy room, with nice toiletry touches. We ate in the restaurant, and the meal was delicious, with a good menu. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Everything! We had all the home comforts and more in the amazing family lodge.
Not a thing!
Staff were very friendly Good size rooms Good wifi Good food Overall a good stay
Was a bit noisy in the late evening, but had a good nights sleep
Relaxed holiday. Lovely river walks. Very good food. Comfortable bed.
The proximity of the Cathedral. The lovely architecture which had been sympathetically restored to make the hotel. Dun lane itself and the friendly people.
Clean. Modern interiors. Ancient exteriors. Only 1 1/2 year old business. Good breakfasts. Great dinners. History abounds. Good central location for day trips.
This place is faultless!
Generaly nice place
Up front payment 20% over priced
The peaceful setting and home away from home feel.Very relaxing.Breakfast was lovely and after a days flight from home it was perfect. A walk through the village ,a pint at the pub down by the river made for a great introduction to Scotland.
The boys beds were not very comfortable
Hotel had a room problem so we were relocated to Dunblane Hydro at no extra cost!!! We had a single attic room with double bed squeezed in and didn;t even have a window you could see through. Room number 434. Extremely disappointing.
Location was good and Dunblane is gorgeous
We booked a twin room and got a double that was so big it dominated the room so much so there was not room for bedside tables. Therefore no room to put your cup of tea or enough light to read without putting on the big overhead light. The bathroom was dirty and we had to run the tap for 5 mins to get any hot water - this didn't work with the shower that was luke warm. When we pointed this out to the receptionist she wasn't happy and informed us clip on headboard lights were available in the drawer - very miffed that we weren't happy and it showed!! Her response was if you want a wardrobe you can't have bedside tables as well!!!!!!

The food was lovely at breakfast and the evening meal we had. All the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Having to ask for toast, it should have been offered as there was butter and marmalade on the table. Noticed everyone had to ask.
The situation opposite the cathedral.
Double bed with duvet cover much bigger than the duvet so most uncomfortable. At least beds should be 5ft wide. Shower room poor. Breakfast choice poor and we had to ask for toast both days. Cereals mostly for children.
