I made an unusual request with my booking and the Old Ivy went above and beyond! The breakfast was lovely full English and a good selection of cereal and yogurt and toast.. Tim and Pat were lovely and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall a lovely place to stay would definitely recommend.

Very friendly welcome, and a very attractively furnished/decorated house. Owners went out of their way to provide a bespoke breakfast.

Charming host. They were away for two of our three nights but the replacements were very helpful and pleasant.

unfortunately the tv or radio didn't work but the hosts were going to look into it. Allso the duvet cover had an unpleasant stale water smell to it. There was a muncher or similar machine in the room above which made quite a noise. Agree with past comments about suggesting robes for downstairs room so they can get to the bathroom more easily

Tim, the room, the garden, the breakfast, the bed linen and Almost everything! Oh and the pub just along great food!

Only slightly annoying point was the recurring noise in the night and morning of a mechanical nature, not quite sure what it was but loud enough to wake me up as I am not a heavy sleeper unlike my husband who slept through it. One other tiny gesture would be to provide a towelling robe for guest staying in the Mallory. This is the only room of 5 rooms that does not have an en suite thus walking to a perfect bathroom through public areas might be not so daunting, just an idea, not complaining it was to nice.

Friendly welcome, off road parking, excellent breakfast and packed lunch. Coped well with 2 x gluten free guests. Nothing too much trouble. The nice pub 5 mins away was excellent - fine food and lovely people. Also lovely village.

Being in the attic up 3 x flights of stairs but I should have mentioned that my husband had been ill and found stairs difficult. Can't expect people to be mind readers!!! My fault.

We loved the quirkiness of the room we stayed, and the breakfast was outstanding, with personal touches. Everything was excellent, and only a one minute walk from a great restaurant the horse and jockey.

It was easy to see that the hosts have stayed in many places themselves and tried really hard to get things as good as they could be.Just the right amount of attention to detail where it matters.Would go out of our way to stay there again. Breakfast good and bed comfortable.

Fantastic B&B- the attic room with wood beams was spacious yet cosy, with an superbly comfortable super kingsize bed. The owners were absolutely charming, so warm and welcoming and the breakfast was one of the best we‘ve ever had in a B&B- exceptional quality bacon and sausage, & roast cherry tomatoes on the vine (the rest was good too) and we loved the fresh fruit / fruit compotes and other choices. We thoroughly recommend this B&B.

Nothing really - the village is in the countryside so a few miles drive to main roads but we actually enjoyed the quietness of the location very much. There is a good pub for evening meals within a short walk.
