Friendly,clean,really good breakfast
Nice Warm welcome from the hosts, including the 4 legged variety. The room was beautiful with mod cons alongside the old beams and nice decor. The B and B is situated in a nice quiet village with a good pub a minutes walk away. Great breakfast with lots of choice
Only staying one night
Locations great, lovely comfortable bed and a great breakfast couldn't ask for more
Nice coffee in room Warm welcome good wi fi connection
Asked for a very strong cup of tea at breakfast but got a weak one. No follow up at breakfast time to see if I wanted more toast etc
Great service and comfort
Very warm welcome, excellent facilities, whole place clean and warm, perfect quiet but easily accessible location, fantastic breakfast with many options. Couldn't have asked for more.
The character of this beautiful old 13th century farm house was pitched just right between quality old furniture and exposed beams and modern day comforts. Our king size bed and duvet was so sumptuous we didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. The friendly and courteous owners made us feel very welcome. We will definately stay there again.
When we put the Address and post code in our Sat Nav it took us to the wrong destination. Nearly every local village has a Main Street; therefore, it is important to just enter the post code and then it will lead you to the correct location.
A great place to stay this is our 2nd time this year. The welcome is homely & friendly. The rooms quaint, spacious & everything you need. Breakfast all you'd want full English, continental even kippers just ask. Great central place for Mancunians to meet up with Londoners/southerners!!!
Seriously classy but uber comfortable style: beautiful decor with masses of stunning art on the walls, glowing polished furniture and lovely ceramics and knick-knacks. Everything from the comfort of the bed, to the bedlinen, the towels and the bath products and tea and coffee provision was of the highest quality. As if that wasn't enough the kind hospitable welcome given by Tim and Pat couldn't have been bettered, which was even more remarkable given that horrendous motorway conditions delayed my arrival to a very rudely inconvenient time of night!
I'd defy anyone to find a single fault!
The breakfast was absolutely incredible, I would go back just for the sausgage and eggs! Tim is very kind and event leant me an iron when my shirt for a wedding got creased. Would definitely go again, only downside is having to drive everywhere and the local pub not serving food until 6pm.
The house was lovely. Breakfast excellent.
Bedroom a little cramped
We received a warm welcome from Tim and his wife on our arrival. Lovely room. Great breakfast. Good location for Twycross Zoo and the Battlefield Line.
There is nothing we would complain about.
The quality of the accommodation was excellent. Tim and Pat were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was also first class with plenty to eat nd drink. Would definitely recommend.
The Old Ivy House bed and breakfast is fantastic place. When you arrive you are greatest with a warm welcome. I would definitely recommend. Hope to visit again. Carys
Imaginative interior design complementing the historic building. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Within easy walking distance of a good pub/restaurant.
Postcard-perfect house, beautifully furnished and kitted out; charming, welcoming hosts; great central location perfect for northerners meeting up with southerners, as we were; lovely rocking horse; great value for money.
Lovely hosts, room and breakfast were wonderful and set in a beautiful village and area for walking. Plenty to do and see.
I made an unusual request with my booking and the Old Ivy went above and beyond! The breakfast was lovely full English and a good selection of cereal and yogurt and toast.. Tim and Pat were lovely and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall a lovely place to stay would definitely recommend.
The attention to detail is amazing, perfect dacor, very cumphy clean bead. Good breakfast, large choice.
Taxi's are very difficult to get in the area. Mobile phone reception poor.
Lovely area. Lots of character. Excellent breakfast. Good hosts. Nice room.
Room near front door and dining area. Seperate bathroom. Noisy first night. Will ensure ensuite if returning.
We were left alone to enjoy our stay but hosts were in attendance should we require anything
All very good
Great hosts, very friendly and helpful Really nice property in a lovely location, friendly dog Great breakfast
Bed too soft for a middle aged back Shower a bit temperamental with temperature setting, a pity because the bathroom décor is fab
Very friendly welcome, and a very attractively furnished/decorated house. Owners went out of their way to provide a bespoke breakfast.
Charming host. They were away for two of our three nights but the replacements were very helpful and pleasant.
unfortunately the tv or radio didn't work but the hosts were going to look into it. Allso the duvet cover had an unpleasant stale water smell to it. There was a muncher or similar machine in the room above which made quite a noise. Agree with past comments about suggesting robes for downstairs room so they can get to the bathroom more easily
