Beggars Reach Hotel is in a pretty, tranquil area, near the village of Burton and close to Milford Haven, Pembroke and Haverfordwest.
Score from 127 reviews Very good
Once a medieval coaching inn, this hotel is located less than 10 minutes’ walk from Pembroke’s impressive castle, along the quaint high street.

Score from 111 reviews Very good
An excellent little hotel with wonderful staff and probably the most consistently good breakfasts ever! Delighted to find they did single rooms with no deposit and no pressure to pay the bill until I wanted to. This is now my hotel of choice when in Pembrokeshire.
On a first visit, if you miss the turn for the car park you have to go right round the one way system again. Explaining where the entrance is on the booking form would be helpful. However, when you've done it once it's easy.
Old style town centre hostelry. Yes a bit dated, but full of old world charm. Selection of real ales in the bar. Good food in the restaurant (too busy on first night so had to eat in the bar). Ample car parking at rear.
Bedroom was a bit soulless but served it's purpose, and window opened over the kitchen bins (in courtyard).
Friendly and helpful staff My single room was generous, and v clean and tidy Cost was reasonable compared to equivalents elsewhere in Pembroke town centre
Decor bit tired but homely.... Corridors might be a challenge for size14+....
Convenience, parking, price
Bathroom clean but dated shabby
STAFF VERY FRIENDLY
Myself & my mum travelled & stayed here for a family funeral. The rooms were clean & comfortable. We ate in the pub & the food was good. We had initially booked for 2 nights but only stayed the one & the staff were very helpful & accommodating. If staying in Pembroke I would highly recommend.
Great spot , the only compliant is the bed was uncomfortable
Location, service, wi-fi. Car park facilities. Bar, food. All pretty good and wrapped up in a decent room rate. Staff friendly and welcoming and actually take an interest in the guests that are coming to stay. I woild stay again and I would pass the word around.
If I could pick a fault, I had a (beautiful) south facing room and it was during a very hot clammy spell of weather - those three rooms on that south side would benefit from some kind of air conditoning or air cooling. This is a tiny point. Had the weather been more typical, this wouldn't have been an issue. But then on the other hand, AC units, wall mounted are quite inexpensive these days.
The 'tunnel' rear access. Great pub and good food. Short walk to Pembroke Castle. Free parking at rear.
Excellent location. Seemed like a traditional hotel/pub with quieter rooms at the back and parking. Good food.
The décor was a bit dated.
Very good food
Charming and helpful staff - great food choice and quality. Good room, remarkably quiet.
A great little place with fantastic staff and very comfortable rooms at a very reasonable rates. A true west Wales welcome. Great breakfast too.
Great talk with manager on local history
Pleasant, comfortable, friendly atmosphere with efficient and personable staff. Excellent food and service.
Staff need more training,
Location is super. Easy to find and good parking. Fabulous food. A real find as vegetarian and fresh fish options were on the specials board.
Bouncy bed. Some like em soft, we like beds a bit firmer.
Thought it wasoverpriced compared with many other places we have stayed in.
Just a very good all round experience. Exactly what we needed after a hard day's leisure. Thank you.
I couldn't fault the hotel on anything.
Great location. Quiet spacious room.
Poor quality shower.
A slightly 'quirky' hotel in a prime position in a very pleasant small town. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is good and the hotel is comfortable and convenient. Good value all round.
The only slight problem is finding the carpark for the first time, otherwise no gripes.
Very good restaurant and food. Quirky and interesting
nothing. but it is a pub with rooms not a hotel, this is not a criticism but an observation
Staff were very friendly, and excellent restaurant facilities.
The Wifi kept dropping off, throughout the stay.
Traditional , comfortable good food and drink , hospitable staff.
