The hotel is fitted out to an unusually high standard and the rooms are above-average in size. Excellent value for money!

The hotel is close to the road, and there is traffic noise if you leave the windows open.

Room was a good size, bed was comfortable. Wi-fi connection was good. Ironing board and iron availabe in room. Bathroom was a good size with modern hot and powerful shower. Nice selection of shower gel, shampoo etc., Tea and coffee tray available. Breakfast was a pleasant experience, service was good.

If I had to nit pick it would be that there was only one pack of biscuits on the tray but I am sure this would have been rectified if more were needed. Everything else was very good.

I had a sat nav disaster getting to Troon and didn't arrive until about 11.30pm. I was worried that I'd be locked out! The staff member who let me in couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful....pretty good considering the time of night. Everything about this place impressed me, especially the comfort and the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Overall I would say it represents excellent value for money.

Wifi was temperamental but that was just a blip I think. Hopefully it won't put people off staying.

Very modern. Food was very good. Lots of out door seating for fine evenings. Rooms very large and includes all cons. Very close to Troon ferry terminal. And I suppose most of all good value for money. We will hopefully stay there again.

    Nothing to dislike,,,,,

We had 2 nights here .The room and ensuite were very spacious and the view from the window a cross Loans and Troon was good. Enjoyed the television with a larger screen and WiFi freely available . Our breakfast was served by pleasant staff and attentive staff . There was plenty to choose from and was great. There was plenty parking to the rear of the building. We also had 2 evening meals in the restaurant at a reasonable cost and again the service and food were great. Also good that you can check out until 11am. Great hotel for relaxing in.

The bed was a little too hard so didn't sleep too well the first night. However this is minor and I would visit again if I am in the area.

This is a very comfortable American-style motel but in a remodeled old coaching inn. It's less than 10 minutes from the ferry to Northern Ireland, so it's a good place to stay the night before the journey.

    No problems at all.

The helpfulness of the staff on our arrival was an excellent start to a most pleasant stay

The bar is very dark and dungeon like so we chose to take our drinks to our room which was much brighter and airier

    Close proximity to Troon

Grossly inflated prices over Commonwealth Games. Hotel made no attempt to do a little extra eg one small bottle of water to share in room. Paid £1000 for 2 rooms for 3 nights. Very poor in terms of value for money.

Outside bar area was a bonus. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and hard working.

No air con in rooms. Although a portable fan was provided the heat in the bedroom was unbearable.

5 Stars all round, great location. Attentive duty manager upon arrival, very helpful. Lovely room ( 112 ). Large room , with view to the back of the hotel across to the sea. Extensive dining menu for evening dinner if you needed to ( we choose to dine in Troon as newcomers to the area ). Sipped drinks later in the warm evening sun, and decorative gardens, and the roof terrace looks great ( just needs a few more people using it ) Breakfast was very good , lots of choices, continental buffet - fruit , yoghurts , danish pastries , cereal etc, and a hearty cooked breakfast ( lighter bites are also an option ).The smoked Haddock smelt divine. Highly recommended.BRAVO - will come back :))

My only little wimper, is that the rooms are very very warm ( even with an electric fan & window open at full stretch ). Ventilation seems to be an issue for most of the past reviews by other guests of the hotel, so maybe needs looking in to..

The full hotel was spotless. The rooms where massive and the balcony was a nice touch. All the staff were very helpful. Plenty of parking with access to the kids play park. Easy to find and close to Troon.

The rooms were very hot at night. It was very uncomfortable, we opened the windows but the noise of the traffic kept our daughter awake. I would say the prices in the bar were high. The breakfast we had been ok not great.

Lovely hotel, very pleasant and helpful staff, food excellent, service great. Close to Troon and other areas.

The rain all day was unable to sit outside. Only one thing didn't like I thought starter I choose was overpriced. However I must say it was great.
