- nice host - comfortable room and bed - clean
- expensive for what you got
The food and the people. Very comfortable bed
I'm 6ft 5 and, despite booking weeks in advance, we were given a room with a very low sloping ceiling that made it extremely difficult to move around
the rooms are spotless and very comfortable and the staff can't do enough for you . the meals and breakfast are delicious big thanks to mick for a lovely break in the lakes.
Mike was so friendly and went out his way to make me feel very welcome and at home. I will look forward to staying here again in the future.
Mick the owner was so helpful and full of great stories about his travels, the breakfast was wonderful, dinner in the pub was excellent too, parking, not far from sea
Lovely clean room and great cooked breakfast. Also had an evening meal which was very nice.
The warmth of the place and the owner. Was welcomed with a warm greating when arrived and it carried on throughout the stay. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the bathroom.
Room TV Bed Food
The friendly welcome by the owner and staff. The landlord waited for us to arrive although he had to be somewhere else. That was very nice of him to do so. The rooms was excellent and very clean.
There was nothing that I did not like about the Old Posting House.
Nothing wrong with anything.value for money.
Friendly, clean, large room, tastefully decorated
Very helpful staff, great food, very clean impressive accomodation, would recommend
Very friendly warm welcome All the staff were great The food was brilliant
The only thing we did not like is that we could not stay longer.
The modern facilities. comfortable room and bed. Huge meals. The pub had a great history, loved the teapots hanging everywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Nothing to report.
The room and the bathroom were very nice. The food was great. Our host was a very kind and helpful gentleman. We enjoyed staying at Old Posting House.
The bigger towels had a strange smell of vinegar but it was not a problem since there were two smaller towels which smelled alright :-)
The rooms were well appointed and we were looked after well. the measl were good and the portions very generous
Parking, food, pub, rooms...sort of like an all inclusive resort in a rural setting. Nice and quiet, breakfast cooked to order. Loved the hundreds of teapots in the dining area.
Nothing comes to mind.
Helpful, friendly staff, comfortable, well equipped bedroom and bathroom and first rate breakfast
A larger mirror would have been helpful
Substantial meals Very genial host
Noone available to book me in when I arrived (had to wait 15 minutes or so for the owner to arrive)
location and bedroom
breakfast poor choice
The owner was away the man left in charge tried his best to please
There was a poor vegetarian service. It would not have cost any more to offer a proper vegetarian breakfast and evening meal
When we arrived at 4pm the premises was completely closed. We knocked on doors and phoned 3 times but received no answer. We called back at 5pm and the manager, who was in the study the whole time, told us we should have rung the day before and told him what time we would arrive. Manager is not a 'people person' and we were never made welcome.
Friendly staff. Clean. Nice double width shower. Excellent vegetarian lasagne from bar meal.
Not applicable to my trip. But beware sloping roof in rooms. Makes for restricted space where childrens (single) bed is located.
Back for another stay on second our tour of UK from Australia. Mick is a great host, the staff are efficient and friendly and the food is bountiful. Room very clean and large and quiet. We were invited to join in the quiz night and had a great time. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
The Old Posting House is a traditional country pub which was turned into a modern comfortable hotel with good taste and humour. The staff is always ready to help and willing to spare a moment for a nice chat. A very commendable place.
