For the internet price I paid for the room it was of a quality normally associated with a room costing twice that paid. In my opinion this was a better standard than Premier Inn & Travel lodge etc and at a similar price. There was no evening reception, bar or food, but this was fine as pubs & restaurants were only 5 minutes away.

The staff On arrival were really friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. Although not an official complaint, there was a large group of young people staying there who kept up awake until gone 2am, although one of our group asked them to be quiet nothing was done by staff which is a shame and when we and another guest mentioned it in the morning no one seemed too bothered!

This was a last minute booking. The location was suitable so that I could attend a family funeral the following day. The room was superb with every comfort I could need and the bed so comfortable that I slept immediately and soundly. Great en suite and hugely enjoyable full english breakfast. Beautiful setting among the woods - such tranquility! The setting of the hotel, the style of the room, layout, colours, attention to detail was so very romantic - and I was travelling on my own. Well maybe next time.......

The decor was fresh and care taken to make it up to date. Breakfast well cooked. Surroundings very attractive Lacking in a place to relax I.E. a lounge area ( or perhaps we didn't find it! The breakfast things were slow to clear as we ate. One or two repairs needed in the bathroom.

A very comfortable stay with friendly staff and good facilities. Excellent breakfast and easy parking on site Bed was comfortable however not much room to move around it due to its proximity to the walls. Unable to connect to the free wifi? Tv signal week, it repeatedly froze and stated no signal.

The room was old yet tastefully decorated. The en-suite was both clean and functional, the shower was especially good both roomy and hot. The bed was large and reasonably comfortable. The in room facilities of tea coffee and chocolate served their purpose. Wifi was available and worked in the room. The food was standard hotel breakfast but was cooked well and plentiful. Although the room had a flat screen tv the signal in the hotel was causing the hotel some concern and a picture could not be found on the first nights stay. I am sure this was a temporary glitch as the second evening I could tune into two stations of the several that were on offer. As they had wifi I watched tv on my Ipad. The only negative albeit a slight one was that on entering the hotel there was no clear reception only a small desk hidden around a corner off the hallway. I felt a little lost and wandered into the wrong room until I found what I was looking for. A sign hung from the ceiling with directions could resolve this issue.

It's proximity to the place we were visiting plus it's friendly staff. The whole place is 'tired' and needs to be up-dated. Also the car park should be up-graded and de-markation lines displayed.

For me this is a clean, tidy substitute for a mainstream hotel chain. The room was good, as was individually prepared breakfast - supported by the usual array of cereals. I was also let in upon arrival in the early hours without any delay or fuss. My only problem/doubt was that unlike all the other bedding, pillows, duvet etc., which was neatly washed and ironed - the bed sheet itself seemed crumppled and very creased on both sides of the Double Bed - as if it had been overlooked and unchanged from use by previous occupants. As I felt it was far too late to query the matter with the night porter and I was on my own, I just folded the pristine king sized duvet in two and slept upon it, by just using one side of the bed, rather than have contact with the bed-sheet itself. However, I feel certain this matter would have been attended to if I had arrived during normal hours.

Set in beautiful countryside, offering good walking areas and a golf course nearby. Rooms are very comfortable and of a good size. Free internet is a bonus. Breakfast is served nice and early for the business traveller. Full English breakfast well cook and served promptly. Friendly staff giving it a very nice family homely feel. Would be nice to have some food available from the restaurant in the evenings.

The family room was spacious and comfortable and offered excellent value for money. We booked the room with an extra bed which was a good move as the sofa bed would have been a squash for two. Good breakfast with friendly service. Easy location and perfect for a one night city trip for four.

The noise from traffic! The windows weren't great as I could hear every car that past the hotel right through the night. This was a real pity as the rooms were excellent in terms of comfort and style.

Stayed one night here, on arrival the reception staff could have been a tad friendlier and welcoming. Our room certainly made up for the lack of personable warmth, extremely large with a settee facing out to wonderful views of the gardens. Bathroom a good size too. Good location for Birmingham city and plenty of restaurants in nearby villages. The only downside was the lack of double glazing - the hotel is positioned next to a very busy road and during rush hour was extremely noisy.
