The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really tasty and I slept like a baby. Perfect.
The only negative was the wifi was out of range in our room.
Very good breakfast provided. Bedroom good size and bed comfortable
Although directions to car park were good, signage not easy to see.
Friendly staff Homely feel Good breakfast Close to Rutland Water
Road noise Noise from room next door throuh inter-connecting doors
Good location, Hotel Staff friendly & helpful, Breakfast Menu very good . Room clean & comfortable.
Well kept and pristine small garden areas.
Wifi not working.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Loved the shower!
Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working while we were there but I'm sure it was just a one off problem.
Friendliness of staff and quality of food and comfort of rooms.
Top location lovely clean rooms friendly staff
Good location for nearby towns, historical buildings and the waters. Very friendly people. Lots of options for good eating places. Will be going back again.
Location was good for a visit to Rutland waters. Plenty of parking at hotel.
Very good breakfast. Lovely large en-suite. Friendly staff. Good value for money.
Décor is a little tired in bedroom and hallway.
good bedrooms& bathroom
no evening meal or lounge facility
Spacious comfy room. Decent bathroom
The location was perfect, the staff catered for all our needs, breakfast was delicious, the bed was massive and the shower was amazing!
The tea cups weren't by the kettle and there wasn't enough milk in the rooms, that's it, that's all I can find to grumble about!
The hotel was very clean and the quality of the food was excellent
There really wasn't anything we didn't like
Quietness and comfort
Great location to many nearby tourist attractions. Very short walk to town centre with plenty of great places to eat. Hotel friendly and quiet, with a very good breakfast to start the day.
Spacious room and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Not enough space in the car park and some vehicles parked badly. Wi-fi didn't work in the room (signal too week or non existent)
nothing - the whole experience was awful!
they are called "The Old Wisteria Hotel and Restaurant". It's only fair to point out that it's not really a hotel (it is set up as a B&B) and there was no restaurant - as no-one had prebooked dinner they had given the "chef" the day off!!! The room was depressing and noisy (we had specially selected a "quiet" room). The bathroom is dark and windowless and the shower didn't work properly. The bed was so hard and lumpy I seriously considered sleeping on the floor expect that it didn't look clean enough! We have travelled extensively on business and, in our comprehensive experience, this is easily the worst, very very worst, hotel we have ever had the misfortune to find ourselves in. If you have to stay near this location I would suggest you save yourself the money and sleep in the adjacent car park - you will have a better night's sleep on a bench than at the Old Wisteria.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable
Breakfast was good but the service was very poor we were also told the restaurant on the night if our stay was booked up but it was clear they didn't have anyone in so obviously didn't want to open up for 4 people but honesty would have been the best policy
staff rooms good breakfast
Average of £10.00 per room more expensive than equal or better places we stayed on our trip up the east of England.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast. Good location close to town centre
The evening meal was over-priced for the quality. The room was a bit run down and could do with a bit of loving care.
Very good price for a comfortable stay and very nice breakfast. Staff very nice and helpful. Intend to stay their again next time I am in the area. Oakham is a nice loaction to stay with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Entrance to car park is easy to miss around the back of the hotel and can be quite tight to turn into if you have a very big car.
