Debbie and her staff are wonderful. The food is always the very best. Good sized rooms with good facilities and free wi fi. I've stayed here several times over the last 12 months and it is always the same - Excellent!
Location and roll top bath
I had booked The Coach House as an overnight stay with my wife. I had upgraded to a room offering king size bed and roll top bath. The standard of decor and quality of fittings was quite poor and was very disappointing. The general impression of the interior was of dated and tired furnishings and in need of refurbishment. The setting and the exterior of the building is let down by the interior. We cannot comment on the dinner menu or the bar as both were closed when we returned from an early supper in Tavistock @ 8:45 Breakfast was average & unable to cater for gluten free request.
It's quicker to say what I didn't like! The staff are very helpful & really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. It's a great place to stay & the food is excellent too. It makes a change to stay in place as a solo traveller & be made so welcome. Keep up the great work Debs & hope to stay again soon!
We loved the hostess and felt more like friends than like paying guests. The rooms were cosy and breakfast was excellent.
We were part of a small group of cyclists cycling the Dartmoor Way and stayed here overnight. It was great! We received a warm welcome by our hostess Debbie and her staff and we enjoyed a comfortable stay with clean rooms and good food; there was even somewhere for us to store our bikes. Excellent
there was nothing to dislike about the coach house hotel , the staff were brilliant the food fantastic and the accomadation was excellent, thankyou for a smashing break
Sehr freundliches Personal. Super Frühstück!
They made us very welcome food was lovely.
Everything, this is like home from home! A hidden gem! I'm reluctant to say too much too good in case everyone else goes and I can't get booked back in!!
Peaceful, friendly and well-located for coast, town and countryside.
Chilly bedroom and bathroom smelling of carpet-vac. Lack of coat/robe hooks on doors. Wi-Fi signal not very reliable in bedroom. That said, we understand that the bedrooms are currently being upgraded, so we would expect a big improvement by summer 2014.
Very friendly people and excellent service. Great food. Very welcoming and quiet.
Little to no phone signall.
Elements that you would hope would be here were and in abundance. Warm welcome, thoughful, considerate, pleasant, helpful. Clean, tidy, homely and comfortable. I would visit again.
just about the friendliest, cosiest, oasis of place I've stayed at for as long as I can remember. Great welcome, excellent food, friendly bar and snug with log fire, dog friendly, comfortable room, and stunning value. Can't fault.
This is my 2nd visit and here will be a 3rd, you could not wish to have better hosts than Debbie and Wayne. The food is excellent.
They had a problem with the TV because of aerial damage due to the high winds - couldn't really be helped.
booking .com didnt confirm my booking with the hotel
Very attentive and friendly staff. Good food and accomodation at a very reasonable price. Would stop there again.
Staff and food were exceptionally good
I had to leave
Lovely hosts, fabulous food. The best word to describe the Coach House - quality!!
Bed was tucked into an alcove of the room, bit of a climb to get in and out.
Very friendly welcome and attentive during our stay.
Car park, remote location off any main road, healthy breakfast, helpful & pleasant staff, newly refurbed dinning room & lounge
