The Coachouse Hotel & Restaurant  

The whole place was very relaxed about everything - meaning nothing was too much trouble for them. They even welcomed a muddy, mad springer spaniel. The food and wine at their restaurant was excellent in taste, price and service. It is a remote hamlet but that's Devon for you.

Extremely hard to find in the rain and dark. We only found one sign. Was worth the hassle though.

great place to spend a few days , comfortable room,friendly owners and good food. I will definately recommend to anyone. Much better than staying in those cheap hotels!!

Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, excellent restuarant for evening meal and breakfast was very tasty.

Delightfully quiet rural location with good internet access and easy car parking. Excellent breakfast and very helpful and pleasant owners. For someone who visits the area several times a year this is a welcome addition to the hotels I feel I can rely on.

Bed was a little too soft for my personal taste but I like orthopaedic. The TV was not tuned when I tried it, I simply switched to use the internet.

Host and Hostess were good company. Chef is a genius. Location is good central position for south coast of Devon/Cornwall as well as Dartmoor.

There was a nest of baby swallows under the porch leading to our accommodation. I can confidently say that was the only thing I liked about our stay

It calls itself a hotel but I think the hotel inspector might disagree as there was no-one on reception when we arrived and the area was piled up with boxes. The room was old fashioned with cheap pine furniture and as there were french windows you could not open a window (the weather was freezing during out stay). The heating was mysteriously turned off on out third day. The breakfast was poor, boxes of cereals, very little fruit, machine coffee and thin toast which had been shown to a toaster. The vegetarian choice at dinner was poor and the food was uninspiring. We left a day early mainly because of the weather but also because the accommodation was comfortless.

This was our second stay at Old Coach Inn within 12 months , and we are looking forward to our next stay. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, situation is idyllic, with 5 star food and service. What more can I say!

The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The food was excellent and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely like to stay there again.
