Our room was unsuitable (was double and I wanted twin) but it was changed for us despite the hotel being very full. We appreciated this. I should have liked to see a comfortable lounge not just the bar. |

The reception staff was very helpful and sorted out booking a taxi and organizing a restaurant in the local town as their restaurant was full. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was good The room temperature was set to 35 degrees when we arrived. We turned it down, but it made very little difference. The towel radiator was on full throughout with no obvious way to turn it down and we could not open the window. So our room was swelteringly hot. The bed was incredible uncomfortable. I think the mattress was very cheap and or broken and as you moved around hard objects in the mattress dug into you. Thus sleeping was not an option. When we arrived there was no room in the hotels restaurant for guests as it was full with a coach party. I think perhaps we were a little unlucky as if the heating could have been turned down in our room and the mattress was comfortable we would have been perfectly happy. |

The swimming pool was relaxing and the bar food surprisingly good. On both nights we had false fire alarms being set off due to other customers smoking in their bedrooms. Perhaps all rooms should be non smoking to enable a good nights rest. |

Decent breakfast (but expensive) Apparently the first hotel to offer free Wi-Fi throughout but not working during the stay. The price for breakfast (£10) puts the price of the rooms up from good value to average. |

the new wing to the hotel is very smart, and the fitness centre also. the food in the restaurant was very good indeed, although the menu a little limited. However the breakfast variety and quality was excellent. The bar in the evening had a relaxed, friendly atmosphere The general decor of the main hotel is very tired and shabby, it really needs a revamp. The rooms were relatively comfortable, but again, the bathrooms are tired and the water pressure in the showers is terrible. |

A general impression of skimping on everything, from the need to find out that the heating in the room was only switched on at request, minimal TV services, inadequate soaps in room, poor choice at the breakfast buffet. |

The heaters in the room and in the bathroom were good. Tea and coffee making facility. Comfortable bed. Nice towels. Handy for the Newark Antique Fair. The bathroom was shabby and the toilet looked dirty. |

Angenehme Atmosphäre, Servicebereitschaft jederzeit weg. sanitärer Falsch-einrichtungen, Handwaschbecken verkehrt herum montiert, spritzt alles voll, Duschabtennungen lösen sich auf, WC-Spülkasten war plötzlich defekt, Wassere rann ununterbrochen, Servicemann kam noch spät nachts! Es wurde im Zimmer leider nicht gesaugt! Das Hallenbad war nicht benützbar, wegen Reparaturarbeiten! Die hektische Frühstücklady war nicht sehr amusment |
