“The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was adequate for our needs. The furniture was a bit tired but functional. The gym facilities were excellent and not busy so a pleasure to use. The area was very quiet which was good for us, the hotel also was quiet although busy, we heard no noise.”

The staff were great and the room was comfortable. The location was very convenient. There were a couple of small problems that in a newly refurbished hotel should not have been issues; it was as if the room were unfinished: - there was no mirror near a power point - difficult to do my hair - also there was no shaver point in the bathroom for my husband to use - the TV was tiny which beacuse the rom was so large it was impossible to watch whilst lying on the bed - there was a strange electrical point over the bed that was blanked off but still had a hole in the wall visible around it.

The first thing I noticed was how clean and modern it was. The bathroom was fantastic. I was also surprised at how big the hotel was, it looks very quaint from the outside. Everything was very well maintained and looked new. I've stayed in many a hotel where the curtains are ripped, carpets worn etc. Very pleasing. The only thing I asked for was a quiet room with a double bed and not 2 single beds. Although we were facing onto the car park it wasn't noisy. I was annoyed about the single beds but my partner didn't want to complain. I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem if mentioned.

This hotel was a very comfortable hotel ,the staff where excelent ,nothing was too much trouble they where friendly and helpfull ,the spa facilitys are really good and the staf there are also very helpfull and friendly. The weekend that we where there the boilers had broken down but they soon had one working again with notices up explaining what the problem was in the spa ,but even that did not spoil the use of the facilitys. The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable with tv and tea and coffee making facilitys also a hairdryer for your convinience altogether we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to going again in the future ,

Comfortable room, quiet and excellent parking. Easy to find and good location. Buffet breakfast included in room price was awful and inedible. Kept warm food under very hot halogen lights everthing overcooked and dried out. We ate at 07:30 and this was the middle of the breakfast service and the hotel was busy due to the Agricultural show in Newark. The evening meal was average at best, but fairly priced and plentiful, but not gourmet.

On arrival the confirmed booking via booking.com had not been received by the hotel!!! Despite this they were able to provide a room - showing good flexibility Staff were friendly and the accommodation in one of the new modern annexes was well appointed and comfortable. Food was good and reasonably priced. Only downside was the price of bar drinks which were very expensive even by hotel standards.

Location and pool/jacuzzi We stayed and met with friends for a Christmas meal at the hotel. We had a nice room and it was clean. Unfortunately the meal was a dull let down and made a mockery of the advertised 'Fine Dining' . The staff were pleasant but 'processed' us through our meal asking to clear our table when people were still clearly eating and we felt very rushed. We made the best of it and enjoyed the company doubt we would return shame as it could be lovely with some new carpet and some tlc

Good area just off a1 , small gym , nice pool but sauna under repair but didnt see any work done!Nice bar and meal. Had one sleepless night as first half of the night the staff were talking outside my window as this was their smoking area! The second half of night was the noise of the air con unit , next day they changed rooms but gave no assistance in change!

Breakfast was worth the extra; rooms very modern and inviting and pool area very relaxing Checking in was quite a frustrating process as they would not allow us to use the pool whilst we awaited 2pm check until we pushed the point and they made us hang around for 40min. The check out girl was very polite and friendly which did redeem the miserable checking in lady.

It has a relaxed atmosphere. The bar area is comfortable. Good car parking. The reception and some other areas of the hotel are tired looking. The room was noisey .. I think it was over the swimming pool generator?

The area was very quiet which was good for us, the hotel also was quiet although busy, we heard no noise. The bed in room 604 was extremely uncomfortable..very hard and lumpy and did spoil our sleep..I think the hotel would benefit (from my point of view) a few extra spa and beauty treatments.

The staff were helpfull (although it seemed to be the first day for many of them). The gym facilities were small and busy, but good. The bar was horribly overpriced and the restaurant was even more so. The evening meal was very average and at £50 for 2 excluding drinks was very disappointing. I suspect nothing was freshly cooked. Sadly even the wine was poor.

No much/ They did provide a roll away bed for my 13 year old. We booked it because it was supposed to be close to Swinderby antique market. It turned out to be about 22 miles away. They room we had was basic at best. Long walk to room with strange elevator. Room was sort of like staying at church camp
