The hotel was in an excellent location for both the lake and views as well as pubs, resturants and shops. The little village even had a cinema! The hotel itself was clean and well presented and the staff were very helpful. |

The Hotel was very comfortable, perfect location, excellent leisure facilities, friendly and willing staff A little pricey and the Full English a bit spicy, but all in all spot on !! |

The location is excellent and the hotel clean and full of character. The views across the lake were wonderful. The cooked breakfast which was an additional charge was very poor in terms of quantity. My nephew got a small sausage, small rasher of bacon and half yes half a mushroom. The shower head in the bathroom was filthy. |

I used the Spa facilities. The pool area was extremely disappointing but the treatment area and treatment were extremely good. The pool area was poor; the room was tiny; the bathroom was tiny; it was vastly overpriced; the inclusive breakfast turned out to be continental only (with a supplement for cooked breakfast); some of the staff were abrupt (albeit some of the serving staff were very helpful); and the pool was effectively closed for most of the afternoon for childrens' play time. |

The room view overlooking the lake. I just thought it was expensive for an overnight stay with only continental breakfast. |

If you have child, like us, it is better not to go there thinking about facilities for kids. They definitely dont have it. However, for a couple, it is a special place to stay. |

The modern feel, lovely decor, good food, nice spa, good location, valet parking, helpful staff and great location. No jacuzzi in the spa - found it odd that a spa of this quality doesn't have one. We had a bathroom that was adapted for disabled use. The sink was ridiculously small and no shower! It's fine for it to be adapted for this use but why not cater for both and include a shower and a sink of normal size!! |

location on the lake and central in Bowness Numerous probelems. Mediocre breakfast and charged extra for hot english breakfast. Rooms not sufficently warm. Hot water was only warm. Last night of the stay there was a power cut and then no water at all for 12 hours. Hotel did not really apologise and did not offer a reduction in price till i insisted. Seemed incapable of coping. Junior staff helpful and polite but no senior management visible |

The view over Lake Windemere was lovely Even though check in was 4 p.m. Had to queue at reception as several rooms still not ready. Restaurant was fully booked, even though only half tables were set up, so had to eat out. Prices in the hotel were unbelievably high - one beer and one glass of wine = £12.75. Beauty treatments also unbelievably expensive, |

The manager took our complaints very seriously and was very helpful and the reception was friendly. Spa facilities looked good. Location superb. Parking was a hassle. The room was damp, cold and smelly. Bar staff too busy. |

Friendly, helpful staff at all times - no exceptions. Location was great. Food in restaurant was superb, if a little expensive Draughty and cold but weather was the worst in area for 20 years! Too many young children - which surprised me |

Sadly our relaxation was significantly interrupted due to a dog persistently barking in the room below. |
