Lovely reception area. Nice bar. Friendly staff. Great views. Huge beds.

Cold swimming pool. Smelly steam room. Spa facilities not clean. Showers also smelly.

The food was very good and staff well-mannered and very helpful.

On the Saturday night the service was very slow, over an hour between courses. Having said that we still had a great time, but I think other clients were moaning about the service. This was not a reflection on the staff that were there, I just think there were not enough of them in the kitchen.

Great Location in centre of Bowness for access to shops & restaurants, Good Breakfast no toast machine made in the Kitchen. Rooms etc a little bit tired but bed very good. Spa & pool excellent well worth a visit.

Parking not the best, they have outdoor car park 100yards from Hotel underground Car Park always full. Rooms a little Hot and windows do not open wide.

Not enough room to unpack for the weekend... You could hang clothes up , but nothing else. Chairs in the room very old and uncomfortable, so nowhere to sit and relax....

fantastic location and great hotel and staff

We booked in at 3.30 pm but could not get a dinner reservation for that night until 20.45, so we ate out of the hotel. It was a shame as we would have liked to use the restaurant, the menu looked very nice.

Quality facilities and friendly staff from various countries.Made to feel welcome.

Breakfast was very bad. Had to wait 1.5 hrs

I found our stay at the hotel extremely relaxing and friendly, sevice was exceptional while location was very tranquil and beautiful.

The parking upon arrival at the hotel was very tight although a valet service was available and was very usefull.

Breakfast, it was a shambles both mornings we were there and had to wait and continually ask for coffee and service.

A long wait for main course too long really but well worth the wait food was cooked to perfection and well priced. Drinks were far too expensive tho

Excellent view over the lake, very friendly and helpful staff. Pool/spa was good. Lots of restaurants and some shops within easy walking distance. Room was comfortable.

Car parking was not next to the hotel, not a problem as concierge would park your car for you, but better signposting would help.

The location is good. They have a good gym given it is a "small" hotel. The staff are attentive and willing to help when asked. Nice lounge over looking the lake.

They have a lot of staff in the restaurant, but sometimes they could be a little more attentive. See no reason why you have to pay 2 pounds just for using a credit card to pay for your room, given few people pay cash.

Location and room were excellent. Great views.

Spa was closed due to fire so no access to pool or sauna. This should of been made more obvious when booking! I advise other people to thoroughly read the small print when booking. Hotel had treatments available, massage etc. Booked a massage but this had to be cancelled due to staff calling in sick.
