The location was perfect

It was our anniversary which I pointed out at booking, we normally stay at the Low wood in Windermere they make it so speical leave us a card bottle wine and chocs for our anniversary, we didn't get anything in the Old England abit disappointed!!

Very nice hotel. Requested a lake view and had a beautiful view of the lake. Room was very comfy, clean and has a high quality feel. Pool and spa very nice but lacking a jacuzzi.

Room service was very disappointing. Ordered a salami pizza and a margarita was brought instead. When we called up to let them know the woman was offhand, rather rude and implied it was our fault she got the order wrong. Then rather than change the pizza they put some salami on the old one and reheated it. The final quality and taste was very inferior and not what you'd expect for the price of it and from a hotel of this quality.

location & convenience to amenities & Southern Lakes. Staff were helpful, polite & professional. Facilities (ie Spa, Pool, Views, Bar/lounge are great. Some full Lake View rooms are small & tired with older decor & very warm. Breakfast was extensive, very enjoyable & service was quick. We didn't have evening meal so unable to comment.

Some rooms are tired & bed was too soft. Previous stay we had a very large luxurious room but not a great LakeView. This visit we had an amazing full Lake View but small room with tired decor & soft mattress. This said Both visits have been enjoyable & we will return again.

personal service, attention to detail,staff were very friendly and accommodating. the hotel was very relaxing with a superb view of the lake. the night manager brian introduced himself and said if there was anything we needed he would get it for us.everything was very impressive

View from the Terrace and breakfast room was lovely. Most staff were friendly.

Drinks were eye-wateringly expensive. Noise from the car-park below room 10 and the bin area was disturbing at night and in the morning. View was over a rubbish skip. Japanese/Chinese guests constantly ringing the room thinking that I was reception.

Terrific location

Poor start as booked executive twin with lake view and allocated standard double with a view and then executive twin with no view. Eventually got room that I booked. The hotel made no apology and other small details were badly executed e.g. hard poached egg, no explanation of car park, restaurant unaware of dinner reservation made at reception.

Room was very clean and spacious with good facilities and service. Helpfulness if staff was outstanding and location great as close to town and bars.

The room was an executive one so would have been nice to ha e a better view.

Bar only had Lager on draught, no beers. Spa showers weren't working (only cold water) when my wife went to the pool.

The hotel was great for what we wanted. A bit expensive though. Drinks were expensive. Room rates could be a little too much. Other than that all fantastic!

No drawers to put your clothes in. Only hanging space. Small section for shoes etc. needs a unit that has drawers in it.

Spa opening hours are totally misleading, says pool is open till 10pm, but couldn't get in for quick dip at 9:15pm Staff not as friendly, quick or helpful as you'd expect from a 5* Toilet didn't flush

lack of parking. cold bedroom upon arrival..radiator was on the off position..had to locate valve and turn heating up. small shoddy bedroom with lopsided table, nearly dropped the kettle off the table as table was lopsided..burnt my hand as i put the kettle down and the table moved hot water spilled on my hand. dirty bathrobes (one had dried bloodstains on it) this was extremely unacceptable. My wife had worn this for an hour before she realised.

Gym was good. Room cleaned nice and early each day. Breakfast was nice

No wi fi Room was cold - heater not sufficient for the size of the room We could hear the next room clearly due to an ajoining door

1) Room 322, far removed from deluxe, compared with room 322 rooms at Premier Inns and Travel Lodge should be described as super deluxe. 2) Bathroom appeared to have been fitted out by cowboy contractors. 3) Furniture very tired and minimal verging on end of life. 4) Just not worth £225.25 per night.

I was in room 308 and was woken by the sound of someone clunking around in a linen cupboard outside my room on both mornings I was there. I thought it might have been a one off the first morning so I didn't complain. By the second morning it was too late.

The staff were extremely helpful and we were impressed with the facilities and attention to detail along with the cleanliness of the accommodation. We felt that he location and beautiful views from the lounge helped promote a relaxed atmosphere.

Looked hard at this one but can't think of anything!
