We received a wonderful warm welcome from the proprietors, even though we arrived before usual check in. Time. We were given lovely tray of tea & bikkies in their gorgeous regency communal lounge while the attractions of Bath were explained to us. Even though we had chosen the less expensive loft room, the decorations were lovely & it was very comfortable, with a/con(which was very necessary because of the afternoon sun), which made the room very comfortable. Only 10mins walk into town downhill.....we caught a taxi home as suggested. Only cost under £5. Do yourself a favour & do the free walking tour of Bath! Breakfast was excellent as well & even included a bottle of chilled champagne! (Sparkling wine) Nothing, though the 2 flights of stairs to the loft room may be a consideration for some.

Lovely room, helpful staff who made sure we had all we needed and gave us a map and directions to tourist locations and eateries. Breakfast was included and was great. Overall we were delighted. On site car parking was very tight and required patience and skill. Dragging luggage up to first floor was difficult

The service was amazing! breakfasts excellent and very comfortable room. long climb up the hill from the city center. If you had medical issues or out of shape it would be a difficult walk.

All in all very nice & would stay again & recommend it. Gardens looked lovely. Really felt welcomed to stay here. V. Warm welcome on arrival including a cuppa and information about Bath. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed -tv/dvd, Tea/coffee facilities + a little flapjack each, also a bottle of water, towels, flannels soap shower gel and shampoo, and a hairdryer - brilliant. The breakfasts were very nice indeed and all the staff we saw were very friendly. The pillows weren't very comfortable for me - one wasn't quite enough but two was too high. But that is just a personal thing.

Fantastic breakfast, excellent staff, comfortable big bed, good quality linen and towels. A good position for walking into Bath or along the river or canal. A note of caution for the less able - the attic rooms are three floors up. We were fine trekking up three flights of stairs but this could be difficult for older people. Having said that thought, our room (no.6) was bright and clean with a great en-suite.

It was probably the nicest place ive ever stayed! The warm reception, beautiful rooms and views, exceptional breakfast and friendly staff I would recommend it to everyone. We stayed in the loft room, the bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely and cosy! The hike up the hill to it!
