Seaview room, walk on beach, very good dinner menu
Quality location and building. Quiet room. Great views across the Firth. Good food with Vegetarian options. Centrally located for visiting Fife's coast.
Room a little hot at night. Fresh milk provided in the room in a jug with no way of keeping it cool. Breakfast appeared to be mostly fried rather than grilled.
High tea good value views outstanding staff very helpful.
No lift no stair lift bathroom a bit dated shower with curtain awful.being disabled could only go up stairs to go to bed.
Location is second to none, ask for room number 7 the views from balcony where breath taking.an ideal hotel to take pets we took two dachshunds who where allowed to stay in the room with us and use the hotel garden to run around.the food in the restaurant was fantastic value for money and in my opinion better than award winning restaurant we've dined at over the years.a total must stay again hotel, looking forward to our next visit.
The room could do with a new carpet but that's my option.Didn't spoil my stay in anyway.
Very nice friendly, quiet hote, very comfortable
Great location for visit to St Andrews. Good local seaside walks.
Didn't get a good sleep, as the bed wasn't to comfortable.
We found the Staff very pleasant and very helpful. We had a beautiful meal in the evening which was extremely good value.
The rooms could be done with modernising and there was a lot of flies in the room, which we did report and the staff gave us a bottle of bug spray which was nice and helped.
Everything really. At the end of eight weeks traveling small issues create frustration and here we found people going out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay in a beautiful building.
Your staff were outstanding in all ways. In particular, the dining room staff made eating in the hotel a real pleasure.
Room 20 was rather gloomy but apart from that it was comfortable.
Room too warm due to being above the kitchen also alot of kitchen smells. Continental breakfast choice poor
Excellent food. Lovely bar. Fantastic views over Largo bay.
Atrocious wifi: Patchy connection; fist gnawingly slow.
Friendliness of staff. Ideal situation for touring Fife. Wonderful outlook. Excellent food.
Slightly tired bathroom. No reply on phone when called prior to visit. Unsatisfactory reply when I did eventually get through. Poorer breakfast selection and layout compared to last visit.
The attitude of all the staff, the location and the general good feel in the hotel.
The food, the staff
Very friendly staff and location
View from room and helpfull staff.
Having to leave.
BEAUTIFUL OUTLOOK COMFORTABLE, RELAXING, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.
Excellent locality to golf courses, seaside villages and coastal path. Staff were really friendly and the food excellent.
stayed for a birthday party, excellent food, helpful staff, really enjoyed our stay
Set in a lovely location. Great sea views across from the restaurant. Rooms comfortable, free wifi.
Service at dinner and breakfast was below average. Dinner it seemed like we were a bit of an annoyance to the waiter. Maybe because we had a 14 month with us. We did not get what we asked for, for our little one, but I never bothered to say as it felt easier not to cause a fuss. We did not realise we could dine before 6pm, reception said dinner was between 6-9 would have been better for our little one if we knew we could eat earlier. Breakfast only 1 person serving, porridge was awful.
I stayed here for a week as a solo traveller and had such a lovely time. The staff were very helpful and social, helping me find things to do. The room was perfect with a beautiful sea view and the food was superb. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
The wifi crashed for the first half of the week and as it was bank holiday it took a while for it to be sorted. Signal wasn't great in the hotel so this was abit of a problem but the staff were very apologetic.
the whole ambience of this hotel was excellent from the minute you walk through the entrance & from there on the experience just gets better. room, first class! Food, first class!! service, First class!! Cannot fault this hotel!!!
Good view from the restaurant and a nice coffee French press in each room
My room had only one small (30cm by 30cm) window overlooking a busy road, there was no milk in the room for their coffee and tea, and their staff was slow and often absent from the reception and restaurant.
The staff were very polite and helpful went out of their way to attend to all our needs. The food was very good although a bit pricey. The central heating was on through the night, a real bonus!!!
Cleanliness in the bathroom could have been better.
staff went that bit extra to help,
