The staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The rooms, while needing updating (I understand this is in progress) was spotless and comfortable. The food was excellent.

There is a danger of overkill re these reviews - I filled in the review which was in the hotel room and handed it to reception .I have completed this review but am only repeating what I said previously. This is our 2nd stay at the hotel and we would stay again .Compared to the other hotels available via Easy breaks this is head and shoulders better ,mainly because of the quality of the food We loved the hotel and would recommend to friends but please don't ask me to complete any more reviews !! Surely there must be a way to stop asking guests to comlete online reviews if they have already handed in a review at the time of stay

Nothing much foodwast upto standard carpets threadbare dor to balcony wouldnt close so we were freezing and rain coming in room so we will not be going back there for the price we paid wasnt worth it some night we had as this was meat to be a special night for our engagement which turned out a flop and wast wort the money Was dirty, threadbare carpets, food not up to standard, doors wouldnt shut so very cold and draughty, shower no good needs upgrading very badly a very poor hotel and not worth the money they charge, food served on cold plates oh I could go on and on about this hotel and one thingfor sure I I would not reccomend it to anyone. I could have booked another place cheaper.

Friendly reception. Usual introductory remarks made in very pleasant personal manner, not just like a recorded message. Inside hotel warm & cosy. Had dinner in the Coachmans. It was freezing. Doubt if we will eat there again.

This is a lovely hotel which, we had visited before. Now under new management and being given a classy referb, bedrooms being done in jan 2012. It now has a brilliant chef and I tasted some of the best food ever. Staff are welcoming and friendly I hope thay keep up the good work. We will return. Kim from Kent

I liked the location,as we were looking for somewhere on the coast with good views and easy access to villages along the coastal path. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the food was nice, good value. There was a good parking area. The rooms were far too hot, we tried turning down the radiator, but it was still too hot, we opened the window but then could not sleep for the noise of the traffic outside on a very busy road, even through the night. And the shower kept going from hot to cold.

The hotel staff made us very welcome and were most helpful, especially in arranging accommodation for my family which included 8month old twin babies. We were given beautiful spacious rooms with sea views and a balcony and the price was based on their November special deal which was great value for money .I don't think I have ever stayed in an hotel where all the staff, without exception, were so helpful and attentive at all times. A credit to the hotel. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. Big fluffy towels in the bathroom. The hotel setting is very peaceful and I will return to this hotel when I am again in this area. Also a good base for touring the East Neuk of Fife.

Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. Not enough staff on at meal times, especially at breakfast, which did result in a long wait on my first morning, but I was in no hurry but might have been.

the situation and room were excellent and the lounges and other common rooms well furnished and relaxing. The view from the dining room ,a large long conservatory over the golf course to the sea was exceptional and the tables were set well apart with most having this direct view Staff were pleasant and helpful : dining room staff a little inexperienced but very willing. It was altogether a very pleasant experience.

Great hotel in great surroundings. I arrived at the hotel at 8.15pm to be told that the evening meals are served up to 9.00pm but the kitchen will not take orders after 8.45pm. After a quick shower and change, I was downstairs at 8.40pm to be told I was too late and the kitchen was now closed. After I showed my dissatisfaction at this, the head chef was found and he came to see me and he agreed to "knock me something up". When the food arrived, It was 1st class. So in summary if you dont plan to eat late, this is a great hotel.
