Our annex room was very cold. There were two heaters in the room and they did help to warm it up. The bathroom was cold and there was mould around the skylight
The evening meal we had was good value. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The room was dirty and dusty, bits of the bathroom ceiling were hanging down as if it was about too colapse, bathroom light broken, hole showing under bathroom, grouting mostly black, usecure cupboard in bathroom with the isolation swithch and some bare wires, window broken, unable to switch off or alter radiator, hot water coming out of cold tap, lamp shades going brown. Worst over cooked breakfast ever.
The location by the side of the river etc is good.
I thought I had booked a double and a twin but on arrival we had two doubles. This was stated on the paperwork as a twin.
Lovely friendly staff who helped an old lady with her WiFi
The decor was a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment. We were in the old part of the hotel in a 'suite', which is why we were surprised that the supposedly best (more expensive) room was decorated to a higher standard.
Very comfortable bed and friendly staff
The bathroom in particular was very tired and not very clean. The rooms defiantly need a bit of TLC. The staff were not very friendly-I can't say that they were rude but at the same time they made no effort to be friendly or welcoming.
The location was perfect-right on the river in the centre of the village
Decore was tatty and not too clean. To get to my room in Annexe had to go up stairs with no handrail - not great when on crutches. Velux window in room directly over bed with no blind so woken up at first light. Dressing table right at top of stairs and very easy when moving chair backwards to stand up and fall down stairs. Dressing table needs to be reversed. Shower room so small not possible to use sink with door shut. Room was way below expected standard although I am lead to believe it was the smallest in the hotel so just make sure you do not get room 18'
Bed was comfy with crisp clean linen and shower was brand new.Breakfast was very good and staff pleasant
Room in need of refurbishment and a good clean especially the bathroom.
The town is beautiful and we had a wonderful view of the river from our bedroom window.
The shower needed an overhaul - the grout was very stained and looked dirty. The window looked like originals, which was lovely, but the paintwork was very dirty.
The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food was excellent. I would stay here again, even though the shower needed sorting out.
Service in Dining Room very slow(over 1hour for main course). Room needs facelift. Shower room inefficient - no fan working, drainage slow.
Location close to Town. Staff friendly.
Hotel over looking river it is al lovely spot .food was excellent . We had room 12 which is in the roof over looking the river
Understaffed at dinner.
Had a fusty smell in our room and bathroom was very tatty, grout around tiles in a right state and didn't look pleasant. Staff very pleasant but their appearance was not good! Food very average and cooked breakfast in morning very lacking and limited.
The location was lovely overlooking river, and the atmosphere in the bar in the evening was great, really enjoyed the band- Honey Badgers!
Badly maintained and poor cleaning let this inn down so much
Location is perfect
the shower was broken reported straight away, also phone wire !! nothing done about it or compensation ,shame as would of been perfect !
costomer service,food ,location 100%
Mould growing on walls and not clean in room
room was a little tired
Location was beautiful, hotel was lovely
The room stank of smoke, despite the no-smoking sign on the door. The bathroom was in serious need of an update. We'd visit Bourton again but wouldn't stay here.
The food was good, the service lacklustre.
Beautiful spacious room with equally large bathroom, however floor was too hot and a properly fitted shower would be of benefit. Breakfast was delicious and nicely served. Value for money was unbeatable.
The bar closed at 10pm. Having no chief one night for everything meal. And no cooked breakfast.
Could not fault the cleaning.
The rooms need updating very tired looking. The staff although excellent the hotel seemed to be understaffed no one on reception in the evening couldn't find a phone in our room had to go down to reception to ask for room service found it the next morning behind the wardrobe .
The staff were lovely. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent position.
The hotel was kept just a bit too warm for us and there was no way to turn the heating down in the room itself.
The location is just lovely as is the hotel itself. We were staying end of february.
